About Us
How we got here
At ProxyEmpire, we like to do things differently. But we’ll get back to that in a bit. Being into online business for more than 25 years combined, our team has had a lot of experience using proxies and other services used for web scraping, marketing research, E-commerce comparisons, and more. Working with other proxy service companies, we kept seeing a gap between customer expectations and service delivery. There was so much we could change.
So we did.
In 2020, after 8 years of intensive use of various proxy services and tools for web scraping, we decided to build the ProxyEmpire you see today. We’ve established stable networks, fast proxy speeds and a huge choice of residential IPs in over 170 countries around the world, while keeping your traffic private and your identity separated from your requests.
Proxy service companies tend to overcomplicate and fluff every step of the process, steepening the learning curve. Our team believes time is far too important — proxy services should help your business accelerate, not slow it down. We made sure that even a person with no coding or tech background can get our residential proxy service working in a matter of minutes.
How We Source Our IPs
Aggregated supply, selected on compliance
ProxyEmpire works as an aggregator. Rather than running one network of our own, we combine supply from multiple vetted providers — that is how we reach coverage and capacity that a single pool cannot match, and how we keep a country online when one supplier degrades.
That model only works if the supply is clean, so compliance is what we select on. Every provider we take capacity from has to meet our sourcing standards: the people whose connections carry the traffic have opted in, are compensated, and can leave whenever they choose. Supply that cannot show us that does not go into our pool. Nothing is harvested from bundled software or from users who do not know they are part of a network.
Being an aggregator is a claim about who we buy from, so we would rather it were checked than believed. That is why we submitted our sourcing for independent review instead of simply asserting good practice.
