What are SERP proxies?
The IPs your SERP scraper searches through
SERP proxies, also called SERP API proxies, are IP addresses your rank tracker, SERP scraper or SEO tool sends its searches through. The search engine sees a new residential or mobile IP for each query, in the location you set, instead of one server running thousands of searches. Five habits for clean SERP data
One query, one IP. Rotate the IP on every search, so no single address builds up a query history the engine can challenge.
Set the location in two places. Target the proxy to the city or ZIP you track, and use the engine’s own location and language parameters too, so results reflect that market precisely.
Search signed out, with a clean profile. History and signed-in accounts personalise results. For ranking data, send fresh requests with no cookies.
Pace and retry sensibly. Spread queries over time, back off when you see a challenge page, and retry through a new IP rather than hammering the same one.
Parse once, store everything. Save the raw HTML with each result, so you can re-parse when the engine changes its layout instead of scraping again.
