Ghanaian IPs from real homes and SIM cards
Ghanaian proxies on real home connections and the MTN and Telecel mobile networks. Our Ghana proxies reach 6 of the 16 regions, Greater Accra and Ashanti included, and 4 cities: Accra, Kumasi, Tema and Winneba. Rotate the IP on every request or keep a sticky session, over HTTP(S) or SOCKS5.
Buy a Ghana proxy online in minutes. Residential costs $3.50 for 1 GB and drops to $1.50/GB on larger plans, priced in US dollars per GB, not per IP. Unused bandwidth rolls over.
Choose your Ghana proxy type
Two ways to get a Ghana IP
Rotating residential
A Ghana residential proxy routes you through real Ghanaian home connections in Greater Accra, Ashanti and four more regions, so each Ghana proxy server looks like a local household. Best for scraping, price monitoring and SERP tracking.
- Region, city, ZIP, ISP and ASN targeting
- New IP per request or sticky sessions
- OS fingerprint targeting (Windows, macOS, Linux, Android)
- Pay as you go from 1 GB
Rotating mobile
Ghana mobile proxy IPs on MTN and Telecel, the two largest Ghanaian networks. Best for social media, app testing and the strictest anti-bot systems.
- Region, city, ZIP, carrier and ASN targeting
- OS fingerprint targeting
- Rotate on demand or keep a sticky session
Need the same IP for weeks at a time? Static residential proxies are not offered in Ghana, and neither are datacenter proxies. To hold one Ghana IP, use a sticky session on residential or mobile.
Ghana at a glance
Why a local IP changes what you see
Ghanaian websites show Ghanaian visitors a different internet. Search results on Google.com.gh, prices in cedis on Jumia Ghana and Melcom, listings on Jiji and the ads served on Ghanaian news sites all depend on where a request comes from. A foreign server often gets an international version instead.
Location inside Ghana matters too. Delivery fees, stock and rents differ between Accra, Tema and Kumasi, so picking the region or city is what makes the data comparable.
Ghana is also a phone-first market. Protected Ghanaian sites expect MTN or Telecel traffic and flag data-centre IPs quickly, while a phone or home router on those networks looks like an ordinary Ghanaian customer, because it is one.
| Fact | Figure | Why it matters for proxy work |
|---|---|---|
| Population | 30.8 million (2021 census); 56.7% urban | Greater Accra, Ashanti, Eastern and Central hold more than half of all Ghanaians, and all four are selectable regions in our pool. |
| Administrative units | 16 regions (the former 10 were reorganised in 2018β19) | Our region targeting follows the current 16-region map: 6 of the 16 are selectable today. |
| Currency | Ghana cedi (GHS, GHβ΅), issued by the Bank of Ghana | Ghanaian shops show prices and delivery fees in cedis, so they have to be read on the local version of a site. |
| Mobile data | 30.5 million mobile data subscriptions: MTN 24.4 m, Telecel 4.9 m, AT 1.2 m (June 2026) | MTN and Telecel carry 96.0% of mobile data subscriptions, and both are in our mobile pool. |
| Fixed data | About 213,000 fixed data subscriptions on the Telecel, MTN and AT fixed networks (June 2026) | More than 99% of data subscriptions are mobile, so mobile IPs are ordinary traffic on Ghanaian sites and apps. |

What our Ghana coverage actually reaches
Read from the live API, not a brochure
Run a proxy Ghana-wide or pin a session to the region, city and network your target cares about. Everything below comes from the same API our dashboard uses.
6 of Ghana’s 16 regions
Region targeting in Ghana follows the current 16-region map, not the 10 regions used before 2019: the API lists North East, a region that only exists on the new map, so Northern means today’s smaller Northern Region. Six regions are selectable, including Greater Accra, Ashanti, Eastern and Central. The other ten, among them Volta, Western, Bono and Upper East, are not selectable as regions today; a country-level session draws on the whole Ghanaian pool.
4 cities
Every city the API returns for Ghana. Each can be targeted on its own:
Ghana mobile proxy carriers
Our mobile pool covers MTN Ghana and Telecel Ghana, the network called Vodafone Ghana until its 2024 rebrand. Together they hold 96.0% of Ghana’s mobile data subscriptions in the regulator’s June 2026 figures. The third network, AT (formerly AirtelTigo), with 4.0%, is not in the API and cannot be targeted.
Ghanaian home and business ISPs
Residential IPs come from the home internet services of MTN and Telecel, from wireless and fibre providers such as CoLi Link, 3D WirelessPlus and Simba Media, and from business ISPs such as Teledata ICT, Inetcom, Ecoband and Echo: nine local networks in all.
Why the long tail matters. Fixed lines are rare in Ghana, and most people go online over a mobile network. A pool that mixes MTN and Telecel connections with smaller local ISPs looks like ordinary Ghanaian households, not one easy-to-spot provider.
What teams use Ghanaian proxies for
Common workloads on our Ghanaian network
E-commerce price monitoring
Track prices, stock and delivery fees on Jumia Ghana, Melcom and CompuGhana exactly as Ghanaian shoppers see them, in cedis and city by city.
Local SEO & SERP tracking
Check Google.com.gh rankings, map packs and ads from Accra, Kumasi or Tema, not from one generic location.
Classifieds & property data
Collect listings from Jiji and meQasa to follow used cars, rents and house prices across Ghanaian regions.
Jobs & ride-hailing data
Follow hiring demand on Jobberman and JobWeb Ghana, and ride prices on Bolt, as Ghanaian job seekers and riders see them.
Ad verification & localisation
Confirm that campaigns aimed at Ghana run on the placements you paid for, on news sites such as MyJoyOnline and Citi Newsroom, and that landing pages display correctly.
Social media & app testing
Run Ghanaian accounts and test apps from mobile IPs on MTN or Telecel, so sessions look like a local phone rather than a server.
Ghana proxy pricing
How much does a Ghana proxy cost? All prices in US dollars
Proxy prices in Ghana are the same as in every other country and are charged in US dollars per GB of traffic, not per IP. A Ghana residential proxy costs $3.50 for 1 GB on Pay As You Go and falls to $1.50/GB on the 1,000 GB plan. Mobile starts at $4.50 for 1 GB and goes down to $2.00/GB. You can test the network first with a $1.97 trial.
As a rough guide, 1 GB covers around 500 full page loads of 2 MB each, or several thousand lighter requests if your scraper skips images and video. Region, city, ZIP, ISP, ASN and OS fingerprint targeting cost nothing extra, SOCKS5 is included, and unused bandwidth rolls over.
| Plan | Data | Price per GB | Total | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pay As You Go | 1 GB | $3.50 | Buy | |
| Starter | 7 GB | $20 | Buy | |
| Hobby | 28 GB | $75 | Buy | |
| Startup | 60 GB | $150 | Buy | |
| Business | 135 GB | $300 | Buy | |
| Company β best value | 315 GB | $625 | Buy | |

Free Ghana proxy lists vs paid Ghanaian proxies
Why a free proxy for Ghana rarely works
A free Ghana proxy list is easy to find, but most entries are open servers already abused by thousands of users. They go offline within hours and are blacklisted by the Ghanaian shops, classifieds and apps you want to reach.
| Free Ghana proxy lists | ProxyEmpire Ghanaian proxies | |
|---|---|---|
| IP source | Open or hijacked servers, mostly data centres | Real Ghanaian homes and MTN and Telecel SIM cards |
| Uptime | Minutes to hours before an IP disappears | Always-on pool, with rotating or sticky sessions |
| Blocks | Usually blacklisted on major Ghanaian sites | Looks like an ordinary local visitor |
| Targeting | Country at best | Region, city, ZIP, ISP, ASN and OS fingerprint |
| Security | Unknown operator can log or alter your traffic | Authenticated access over HTTP(S) or SOCKS5 |
| Cost | Free | From $1.50/GB, with a $1.97 trial |

Ghana proxy FAQ
Straight answers
What is a Ghana proxy server (GH proxy)?
A Ghanaian proxy, or Ghana proxy server, gives you a Ghana IP address, so websites treat you as a visitor from Ghana. A Ghana residential proxy goes one step further: it routes your traffic through a real Ghanaian household’s connection, on a network like MTN, Telecel or CoLi Link, instead of a data centre, so it is far less likely to be blocked.
How much does a Ghana proxy cost?
A residential proxy for Ghana costs $3.50 for 1 GB on Pay As You Go and as little as $1.50/GB on the 1,000 GB plan. Mobile proxies cost $4.50 for 1 GB, down to $2.00/GB. Prices are per GB rather than per IP, the same worldwide, and a $1.97 trial lets you test first.
Can I buy Ghana proxies in cedis?
Plans are priced and billed in US dollars; there is no cedi price list. You can pay by debit or credit card or PayPal through our payment partner Paddle, by bank transfer in US dollars through Paddle, or with cryptocurrency (see payment methods). If your card is in cedis, your card issuer converts the dollar amount at its own rate.
Do you offer Ghana HTTP and SOCKS5 proxies?
Yes. Every Ghanaian residential and mobile proxy works as an HTTP, HTTPS or SOCKS5 proxy, at the same price, with no limit on concurrent sessions. Use whichever protocol your scraper, browser or anti-detect profile supports.
Can I target specific Ghanaian regions, cities or ISPs?
Yes. You can target 6 of the 16 regions, including Greater Accra and Ashanti, 4 cities (Accra, Kumasi, Tema and Winneba) and 9 Ghanaian ISPs. Residential and mobile proxies can also be targeted by ZIP code, ASN and OS fingerprint, at no extra charge.
Do you offer Ghanaian mobile proxies?
Yes, on MTN and Telecel (formerly Vodafone Ghana), the networks that hold 96.0% of Ghana’s mobile data subscriptions. AT is not available. Mobile IPs are shared by many real subscribers, which makes them among the hardest IPs for websites to block.
Do you offer static residential or datacenter proxies in Ghana?
Not at the moment. Static residential and datacenter IPs are not available in Ghana. To keep one Ghana IP, use a sticky session.
Can I keep the same Ghana IP?
Yes. Rotating residential and mobile proxies both support sticky sessions, which keep the same Ghana IP across requests instead of switching on every request.
Why not use a free Ghana proxy?
Free proxies are slow, blocked on most major sites and often run by operators who log or resell your traffic. For work, a paid residential proxy is safer and far more reliable.
Is using a proxy in Ghana legal?
Proxies are a standard tool for price monitoring, SEO and ad verification. What matters is how you use them: respect websites’ terms of service, and follow Ghana’s Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) whenever you collect personal data.
