Two ways to get a Senegal IP address
Rotating residential
A Senegal proxy server on real home internet lines from Orange and Yas, which between them serve almost every fixed broadband line in the country. Best for classifieds scraping, price monitoring and SERP tracking.
- Region, city, ZIP, ISP and ASN targeting
- New IP per request or sticky sessions
- OS fingerprint targeting (Windows, macOS, Linux, Android)
- Pay as you go from 1 GB
Rotating mobile
Senegal mobile proxy IPs on Orange, Yas and Expresso, the country’s three national mobile networks. Best for social media, app testing and strict anti-bot systems.
- Region, city, ZIP, carrier and ASN targeting
- OS fingerprint targeting
- Rotate on demand or keep a sticky session
Need the same IP for weeks at a time? Static residential proxies are not offered in Senegal; use a sticky session to hold the same Senegalese IP on residential or mobile. Datacenter IPs are not available in Senegal at the moment.
Senegal at a glance
Why a local IP changes what you see
Search results, classified ads, telecom offers and ads on Senegalese news sites all depend on where a request comes from. A visitor in Dakar sees French-language pages and prices in CFA francs; a foreign server often gets a generic version, or a block.
Senegal is also a phone-first market: the telecom regulator ARTP counts 23.9 million mobile lines for 18.1 million people, and 96% of internet lines are mobile. A request from an Orange, Yas or Expresso phone, or an Orange home fibre line, looks like an ordinary Senegalese visitor; data-centre traffic is far more likely to be flagged.
| Fact | Figure | Why it matters for proxy work |
|---|---|---|
| Population | 18,126,390 (2023 census, RGPH-5); the Dakar region holds 22% of it on 0.28% of the land | The Dakar region is where our residential and mobile coverage is deepest. |
| Regions | 14 administrative regions; Dakar, Thiès and Diourbel together hold 47.0% of the population | All three are selectable in our pool, along with seven more regions. |
| Currency | West African CFA franc (XOF, FCFA), issued by the BCEAO, which is headquartered in Dakar | Senegalese shops and classifieds quote prices in FCFA. |
| Language | French is the official language | Most Senegalese sites, ads and searches are in French, and many people look for a “proxy Sénégal” in French. |
| Mobile networks | Orange, Yas and Expresso, plus the virtual operator Promobile; 23,927,219 lines (31 December 2025) | All three networks are in our mobile pool. |
| Mobile internet | Orange 65.2%, Yas 20.8%, Expresso 8.8%, Promobile 5.2% of mobile internet lines | The three networks in our pool carry about 95% of Senegal’s mobile internet lines. |
| Home internet | 931,487 fixed broadband lines; Sonatel (Orange) holds 99.26%, Yas 0.64%; two thirds of home lines are fibre | Orange and Yas, the two residential ISPs in our pool, serve 99.9% of fixed broadband lines. |

What our Senegal proxy coverage actually reaches
Read from the live API, not a brochure
Here is exactly what our Senegalese proxies can target today, taken from the same API our dashboard uses.
10 of Senegal’s 14 regions
Residential IPs can be pinned to 7 regions: Dakar, Thiès, Diourbel, Saint-Louis, Kaolack, Kolda and Tambacounda. Mobile IPs add Fatick, Kaffrine and Louga, and also cover Dakar and Saint-Louis. Kédougou, Matam, Sédhiou and Ziguinchor cannot be selected by name today; a country-level session draws on the whole Senegalese pool.
5 targetable cities: Dakar, Thiès, Mbour, Saly and Saint-Louis
All five cities work for residential IPs; Dakar also works for mobile. Thiès, Mbour and Saly (Saly Portudal, on the Petite Côte) sit in the Thiès region. Touba, Ziguinchor and the town of Kaolack cannot be targeted by name, so test with the $1.97 trial if you need them.
Senegal mobile proxy carriers
All three national mobile networks are in our pool: Orange (Sonatel), Yas and Expresso. Yas, formerly Free and before that Tigo, took its new name in November 2024, which is why our API still lists it as “Tigo Senegal”. Not in the pool: Promobile, a virtual operator, and Hayo, which serves only the Matam region. Region and city targeting on mobile runs on Orange; Yas and Expresso IPs are available at country level.
Senegalese fixed-line ISPs
Residential IPs come from Orange (Sonatel) fibre and ADSL lines and from Yas home internet. Orange home IPs can be pinned to Dakar, Thiès, Saint-Louis and Kolda; Yas home IPs are in Dakar. Expresso and the small providers, together well under 1% of fixed lines, are not in the residential pool.
Honest counts, real addresses. Ten regions and five cities will not suit a job that needs every Senegalese town by name. They do cover Dakar, Thiès and Diourbel, home to almost half the population, and all three national mobile networks.

Free Senegal proxy lists vs paid Senegalese proxies
Why free lists rarely work on Senegalese sites
Search for a free proxy Senegal list and you will find a handful of entries at best. Most are open servers shared by thousands of people, offline within hours, often not in Senegal at all and blocked by the sites you want to reach.
| Free Senegal proxy lists | ProxyEmpire Senegalese proxies | |
|---|---|---|
| IP source | Open or hijacked servers, mostly data centres | Real Senegalese home lines and Orange, Yas and Expresso SIM cards |
| Uptime | Minutes to hours before an IP disappears | Always-on pool, with rotating or sticky sessions |
| Blocks | Usually blacklisted on major sites | Looks like an ordinary local visitor |
| Targeting | Country at best, and often wrong | Region, city, ZIP, ISP, carrier, ASN and OS fingerprint |
| Security | Unknown operator can log or alter your traffic | Authenticated access over HTTP(S) or SOCKS5 |
| Cost | Free | From $1.50/GB, with a $1.97 trial |

Senegal proxy FAQ
Straight answers
What is a Senegalese proxy (SN proxy)?
A Senegalese proxy server, or Senegal proxy server, gives you a Senegal IP address, so websites treat you as a visitor from Senegal. A Senegal residential proxy goes one step further: it routes your traffic through a real home or mobile connection in Senegal instead of a data centre, which makes it far less likely to be blocked.
Quel est le proxy du Sénégal ? (Is there a national Senegal proxy?)
No. There is no single national “proxy du Sénégal”. If you need the proxy or APN settings for mobile data on your phone, your operator (Orange, Yas or Expresso) provides them; they are usually set automatically, and its customer service can give you the correct values. ProxyEmpire is different: a paid service that gives businesses Senegalese IP addresses. En bref : pas de proxy national ; pour les paramètres APN, adressez-vous à votre opérateur.
Can I target specific cities or regions in Senegal?
Yes, within today’s coverage: 7 regions and 5 cities for residential IPs, and 5 regions plus Dakar city for mobile, 10 of the 14 regions in all. ISP, carrier, ZIP, ASN and OS targeting cost nothing extra. Ziguinchor, Matam and Touba are not available by name.
Do you offer Senegal mobile proxies?
Yes, on Orange, Yas and Expresso, the three national mobile networks in Senegal. Yas and Expresso IPs are available at country level; region and city targeting runs on Orange. Mobile IPs are shared by many real subscribers, which makes them among the hardest IPs for websites to block.
Do you have Senegalese datacenter or static IPs?
Not at the moment. Datacenter and static residential proxies are not offered with Senegalese IPs. For a long-lived Senegal IP address, use a sticky session on residential or mobile.
How much do Senegal proxies cost?
Rotating residential costs $3.50 for 1 GB on Pay As You Go and as little as $1.50/GB on larger plans; rotating mobile costs $4.50 for 1 GB, down to $2.00/GB. Plans are billed in US dollars, per GB rather than per IP, and Senegalese targeting is included. You can start with a $1.97 trial.
Can I keep the same Senegal IP?
Yes. Rotating residential and mobile proxies both support sticky sessions, which hold the same Senegalese IP across requests instead of switching on every request.
Is there a free Senegal proxy that works?
For a one-off look at a page, a free Senegal proxy sometimes works. For regular work, no: free lists for Senegal are short, the entries are slow, often flagged and may not be in the country at all, and their operators may log or resell your traffic.
Is using a proxy in Senegal legal?
Proxies are a standard tool for price monitoring, SEO and ad verification. What matters is how you use them: respect websites’ terms of service, and follow Senegal’s personal data law (Law No. 2008-12 of 25 January 2008) whenever you collect personal data.
