Choose your El Salvador proxy type
Two ways to get a Salvadoran IP
Rotating residential
Our El Salvador residential proxy pool: home broadband IPs from Ahuachapán in the west to San Miguel in the east, on Claro, Tigo, Movistar, Digicel and smaller local networks. Best for retail and classifieds scraping, price monitoring and SERP tracking.
- Department, city, ZIP, ISP and ASN targeting
- New IP per request or sticky sessions
- OS fingerprint targeting (Windows, macOS, Linux, Android)
- Pay as you go from 1 GB
Rotating mobile
Salvadoran mobile proxy IPs on Claro, one of the country’s four mobile networks. Best for social media, app testing and the strictest anti-bot systems.
- Department, city, ZIP, carrier and ASN targeting
- OS fingerprint targeting
- Rotate on demand or keep a sticky session
- Pay as you go from 1 GB
Need the same IP for weeks at a time? Static residential proxies are not offered in El Salvador, and neither are datacenter IPs. Use sticky sessions to hold the same Salvadoran IP on either proxy type above.
El Salvador at a glance
Why a local IP changes what you see
Search results, prices at Siman and Super Selectos, listings on Encuentra24 and the ads shown to Salvadoran users all depend on where a request comes from. A visitor in San Salvador and one abroad can see different promotions, stock and delivery options on the same page. An El Salvador IP address shows you what local users see.
El Salvador is the smallest country in mainland Central America, on the Pacific coast between Guatemala and Honduras. The 2024 census, run by the Banco Central de Reserva (BCR), counted 6,029,976 people. More than a quarter of them live in San Salvador department (26.4%), followed by La Libertad (12.9%) and Santa Ana (9.3%).
It is also a phone-first market. SIGET, the telecoms regulator, counted 12.0 million mobile lines in operation at the end of 2025, about two for every resident, and 85% of them prepaid. The census found a mobile phone in 93.4% of households, while 41.6% have home internet. To a Salvadoran website, a phone or home connection is an ordinary visitor; data-centre traffic stands out quickly.
| Fact | Figure | Why it matters for proxy work |
|---|---|---|
| Population | 6,029,976 (2024 census) | A compact, Spanish-speaking market of six million people, where local and foreign visitors can see different versions of the same site. |
| Territory | 14 departments; since May 2024, 44 municipalities made up of 262 districts | Our region targeting follows the departments, so you can see a page as a visitor in San Salvador, Santa Ana or San Miguel sees it. |
| Where people live | San Salvador 26.4%, La Libertad 12.9%, Santa Ana 9.3% of residents | The capital area is the biggest audience, but the west and east of the country are separate audiences, so test more than one location. |
| Currency | US dollar (USD), legal tender since 2001; the BCR is the central bank | Salvadoran sites already quote prices in dollars, so differences you find come from promotions, stock and delivery, not currency conversion. |
| Language | Spanish (official) | Most local sites default to Spanish, and search results in Spanish and English differ. |
| Mobile networks | Claro, Tigo, Movistar and Digicel; 12.0 million lines in operation, 85% prepaid (end of 2025) | Our mobile pool runs on Claro; home IPs cover all four operators’ fixed networks. |
| Internet access | Mobile phone in 93.4% of households, home internet in 41.6% (2024 census); about 843,000 fixed broadband subscriptions (end of 2025) | Many Salvadorans are online mainly by phone, so mobile IPs blend in on apps and social platforms. |

What our El Salvador proxy coverage actually reaches
Read from the live API, not a brochure
Most providers list El Salvador as a single country checkbox. Here you can pin a session to a department, city and network, and we say plainly where the pool is thin.
12 of 14 departments
The API returns 12 of the country’s 14 departments, from Ahuachapán and Santa Ana on the Guatemalan border to San Miguel and Morazán in the east. Two departments, San Vicente and La Unión, are not in the pool at the moment, so they cannot be targeted on their own.
12 targetable locations
Every location in the API is listed here. Eight of the 12 departments also have at least one city entry; Cuscatlán, La Paz, Morazán and Sonsonate can be targeted at department level only.
Since May 2024 the old municipalities are districts inside 44 larger municipalities; our targets use the familiar town names. Santa Tecla, Mejicanos and Apopa are not separate targets: use La Libertad or San Salvador department instead.
Salvadoran mobile proxy carrier
El Salvador has four mobile networks: Claro, Tigo, Movistar and Digicel. Our mobile pool currently covers Claro only: Tigo, Movistar and Digicel are not in it, so they cannot be targeted. Mobile sessions can be narrowed to San Salvador or Santa Ana department, and to San Salvador or Santa Elena as cities; elsewhere, target the country.
Fixed-line ISPs
The national networks are covered: Claro, Tigo, Movistar and Digicel. So are local providers such as Telenetwork, Multimedia Network, El Salvador Network, GCA Telecom, Flynet and Omnivision. More than 10 networks in total.
Why the long tail matters. SIGET counted about 843,000 fixed broadband subscriptions at the end of 2025, most of them DSL and cable, with fibre still a small share. IPs spread across the big operators and smaller local networks look like ordinary Salvadoran households; a pool on one provider is easy to spot.
What teams use Salvadoran proxies for
Common workloads on our El Salvador network
Retail & price monitoring
Track prices, promotions and stock at Siman, Super Selectos, Walmart El Salvador and PriceSmart exactly as Salvadoran shoppers see them.
SERP & local SEO tracking
Check Google rankings, map packs and ads as searchers in San Salvador, Santa Ana or San Miguel see them, in Spanish or English, instead of one generic “El Salvador” location.
Social media & app testing
Run Salvadoran accounts, follow Spanish-language conversations and test apps from Claro mobile IPs, so sessions look like a local phone rather than a server.
Classifieds, property & car data
Collect listings from Encuentra24 to follow rents, house prices and used-car values by department, from the capital area to the beach towns of La Libertad.
News sites & ad verification
Confirm that campaigns aimed at El Salvador appear on La Prensa Gráfica and El Diario de Hoy in the right cities, and see the ads on those news sites as local readers do.
Localisation & checkout testing
Check that your own site shows Salvadoran shipping options, Spanish content and the right payment methods to a visitor in San Salvador.

Free El Salvador proxy lists vs paid Salvadoran proxies
Why free lists rarely work on Salvadoran sites
Free El Salvador proxy lists are easy to find, but most entries are open servers already abused by thousands of users. They go offline within hours and are blacklisted by the Salvadoran shops, banks and apps you want to reach. A cheap residential proxy trial costs less than the time lost on dead IPs.
| Free El Salvador proxy lists | ProxyEmpire Salvadoran proxies | |
|---|---|---|
| IP source | Open or hijacked servers, mostly data centres | Real Salvadoran homes and Claro SIM cards |
| Uptime | Minutes to hours before an IP disappears | Always-on pool, with rotating or sticky sessions |
| Blocks | Usually blacklisted on major Salvadoran sites | Looks like an ordinary local visitor |
| Targeting | Country at best | Department, city, ZIP, ISP, ASN and OS fingerprint |
| Privacy | Unknown operator can log or alter your traffic | Authenticated access over HTTP(S) or SOCKS5 |
| Cost | Free | From $1.50/GB, with a $1.97 trial |

El Salvador proxy FAQ
Straight answers
What is a Salvadoran proxy, and what makes it residential?
A Salvadoran proxy (SV proxy) is a Salvadoran proxy server that gives you an El Salvador IP address, so websites treat you as a visitor from El Salvador. An El Salvador residential proxy (proxy residencial in Spanish) goes one step further: it routes your traffic through a real Salvadoran household’s connection, on a network like Claro, Tigo or a local cable operator, instead of a data centre. That makes it far less likely to be blocked.
Can I target specific Salvadoran departments, cities or ISPs?
Yes. You can target 12 of the 14 departments, 12 locations, and more than 10 local ISPs. ISP targeting lets you pin a rotating residential session to one named provider, such as Tigo or Telenetwork. Residential and mobile proxies can also be targeted by ZIP code, ASN and OS fingerprint. San Vicente and La Unión are not in the pool at the moment.
Do you offer El Salvador mobile proxies?
Yes, on Claro. Mobile IPs are shared by many real subscribers, so they are hard for websites to block. Tigo, Movistar and Digicel are not in our mobile pool at the moment, and mobile location targeting covers San Salvador and Santa Ana departments.
How much do El Salvador proxies cost?
Rotating residential starts at $1.50/GB on larger plans and rotating mobile at $2.00/GB. Pay As You Go lets you buy a single GB of residential traffic for $3.50, with no subscription. Salvadoran targeting is included at no extra charge, and you can start with a $1.97 trial. Datacenter proxies are not offered in El Salvador.
Can I keep the same El Salvador IP address?
Yes. Rotating residential and mobile proxies both support sticky sessions, which keep the same Salvadoran IP across requests. Static residential IPs are not offered in El Salvador.
Do Salvadoran sites show prices in US dollars?
Yes. The US dollar has been legal tender in El Salvador since 2001, so local shops and marketplaces quote dollar prices. What changes with the visitor’s location is everything around the price: promotions, stock, delivery options and the ads on the page.
Which protocols and tools are supported?
HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5. The proxies work with any scraper, headless browser, anti-detect browser or HTTP library, and there is no limit on concurrent sessions.
Why not use a free El Salvador proxy?
Free proxies are slow, blocked on most major sites, and often run by operators who log or resell your traffic. For anything work-related, a paid residential proxy is far more reliable.
Is using a proxy in El Salvador legal?
Proxies are a standard tool for price monitoring, SEO and ad verification. What matters is how you use them: respect websites’ terms of service, and follow the Law for the Protection of Personal Data (2024) whenever you collect personal data about people in El Salvador.
