Why a local IP changes what you see
The United Kingdom is one of the most online retail markets in the world: in August 2026, 28.8% of retail spending in Great Britain went through the internet. Results on Google.co.uk, prices on Amazon.co.uk, Argos and John Lewis, listings on Rightmove and Auto Trader and the ads served to British users all depend on where the request comes from. Since the UK left the EU that gap has widened: British sites price in pounds, apply UK VAT at 20% and quote UK-only shipping, and many EU retailers now run a separate UK storefront.
British sites also check what kind of network a visitor is on. On well-protected sites, traffic from a data centre is flagged as a bot straight away. Traffic from a BT, Sky or Virgin Media home connection looks like an ordinary UK customer, because that is what it is.

All four UK nations
The region level for the UK is the nation, not the county. For anything finer, use city or postcode targeting: 984 individual towns and cities are addressable.

Coverage goes far past London and Manchester. London boroughs such as Camden, Islington and Hackney can be targeted one by one, and so can Scottish islands, Welsh market towns and Northern Irish county towns. The 70 best-known locations:
Seaside towns, university cities and commuter belts are each separate targets. That matters for travel, insurance and delivery pricing, where a visitor in Cornwall often sees different offers from someone in central London.
Mobile carriers
Three network groups sit behind four consumer brands: EE, BT’s mobile network, which our dashboard lists under BT; O2, run by Virgin Media O2; and VodafoneThree, formed when Vodafone UK and Three UK merged on 31 May 2025. Vodafone and Three still sell separately on separate radio networks, so they remain two distinct targets. Sky Mobile is a virtual operator on the O2 network.
Fixed-line ISPs
The large retail networks are all covered: BT, Sky Broadband, Virgin Media, TalkTalk, Vodafone UK and Plusnet. The UK also has an unusually deep bench of alternative fibre networks, many of them targetable too: Hyperoptic and Community Fibre in London, Gigaclear and Truespeed in rural England, KCOM in Hull, Fibrus in Northern Ireland, plus Zen Internet, toob, YouFibre and Trooli. Counting obvious duplicates as one, that is more than 60 distinct UK networks.
Why network diversity matters. Anti-bot systems look at which network a request comes from. A pool made only of BT lines is easy to profile; real British households spread across a handful of national brands and dozens of regional fibre networks. What is a British proxy (UK proxy)?
A British proxy, or UK proxy, gives you a United Kingdom IP address so websites treat you as a local visitor. A UK residential proxy goes further: it routes your traffic through a real British household’s connection, so sites see a genuine local visitor on a network like BT, Sky or Virgin Media instead of a data centre. That makes it far less likely to be blocked or shown non-local content.
Can I target specific UK cities or ISPs?
Yes. You can target all four nations, 984 towns and cities (including individual London boroughs such as Camden, Islington and Hackney), and ISPs such as BT, Sky Broadband, Virgin Media and TalkTalk. Residential and mobile proxies can also be targeted by postcode, ASN and OS fingerprint. Datacenter and static residential proxies are country level.
Do you offer UK mobile proxies?
Yes. Rotating mobile proxies are available on EE (listed under BT, which owns it), O2, Vodafone and Three, plus the Sky Mobile virtual network. Mobile IPs are shared by many real subscribers, which makes them among the hardest to block.
How much do UK proxies cost?

Do you have UK datacenter proxies?
Yes. Rotating datacenter proxies with UK IPs start at $25 for 40 GB and go down to $0.35/GB on larger plans. They are country level and suit high-volume work on lightly protected sites. For well-protected sites, use residential or mobile IPs instead.
Can I keep the same UK IP?
Yes, in two ways. Rotating residential, mobile and datacenter proxies all support sticky sessions, which keep the same British IP across requests instead of switching on every one. If you need a fixed UK IP, static residential proxies give you a dedicated residential IP for the whole month, with traffic included.
Which protocols and tools are supported?
HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5. The proxies work with any scraper, headless browser, anti-detect browser or HTTP library, and there is no limit on concurrent sessions.
Why not use a free UK proxy?
Free proxies are slow, blocked on most major sites, and often run by operators who log or resell your traffic. If you are not paying for the product, your data usually is the product. For anything work-related, a paid residential proxy is safer and far more reliable.
