Two ways to get a Honduran IP
Rotating residential
Our Honduras residential proxy pool: home broadband IPs from Copán in the west to Olancho and Colón in the east, on Tigo, Claro, Hondutel and local cable networks, all through one Honduras proxy server endpoint. Best for retail and classifieds scraping, price monitoring and SERP tracking.
- Department, city, ZIP, ISP and ASN targeting
- New IP per request or sticky sessions
- OS fingerprint targeting (Windows, macOS, Linux, Android)
- Pay as you go from 1 GB
Rotating mobile
Honduran mobile proxy IPs on both of the country’s main mobile networks, Tigo and Claro. Best for social media, app testing and the strictest anti-bot systems.
- Department, city, ZIP, carrier and ASN targeting
- OS fingerprint targeting
- Rotate on demand or keep a sticky session
- Pay as you go from 1 GB
Need the same IP for weeks at a time? Static residential proxies are not offered in Honduras, and neither are datacenter IPs. Use sticky sessions to hold the same Honduran IP on either proxy type above.
Honduras at a glance
Why a local IP changes what you see
Search results, prices at Diunsa and La Colonia, listings on Encuentra24 and the ads shown to Honduran users all depend on where a request comes from. A visitor in Tegucigalpa and one abroad can see different promotions, stock and delivery options on the same page. A Honduras IP address shows you what local users see.
Honduras is the second-largest country in Central America, with a long Caribbean coast in the north and a short Pacific shore on the Gulf of Fonseca. The national statistics institute, INE, projects 10,186,738 residents for 2026. Two departments hold more than a third of them: Cortés, home to San Pedro Sula (19.5%), and Francisco Morazán, home to the capital Tegucigalpa (17.9%).
It is also a phone-first market. CONATEL, the telecoms regulator, counted 7.13 million mobile lines in the first quarter of 2026, 85.8% of them prepaid, and 6.75 million mobile internet subscriptions against about 595,000 fixed ones. To a Honduran website, a phone or home connection is an ordinary visitor; data-centre traffic stands out quickly.
| Fact | Figure | Why it matters for proxy work |
|---|---|---|
| Population | 10,186,738 (INE projection for 2026) | A Spanish-speaking market of about ten million people, where local and foreign visitors can see different versions of the same site. |
| Territory | 18 departments and 298 municipalities; capital Tegucigalpa | Our region targeting follows the departments, so you can see a page as a visitor in Francisco Morazán, Cortés or Atlántida sees it. |
| Where people live | Cortés 19.5%, Francisco Morazán 17.9% of residents (2026 projection) | The two big metro areas are the largest audiences, but the Caribbean coast and the Bay Islands are separate audiences, so test more than one location. |
| Currency | Honduran lempira (HNL), issued by the Banco Central de Honduras | Local shops price in lempiras, so a Honduran IP shows the prices, promotions and delivery fees that local shoppers get. |
| Language | Spanish (official) | Most local sites default to Spanish, and search results in Spanish and English differ. |
| Mobile networks | Tigo and Claro; 7,132,618 mobile lines, 70.78 per 100 inhabitants, 85.8% prepaid (first quarter 2026) | Our mobile pool covers both networks, and home IPs cover their fixed networks too. |
| Internet access | 6,754,630 mobile and 595,214 fixed internet subscriptions (first quarter 2026); fixed subscribers in all 18 departments | Most Hondurans are online mainly by phone, so mobile IPs blend in on apps and social platforms. |

What our Honduras proxy coverage actually reaches
Read from the live API, not a brochure
Most providers list Honduras as a single country checkbox. Here you can pin a session to a department, city and network, and we say plainly where the pool is thin.
14 of 18 departments
The API returns 14 of the country’s 18 departments, from Copán and Lempira in the west to Olancho and Colón in the east, plus the Bay Islands. Together they are home to about 90% of Hondurans, going by INE’s 2026 projection. Four departments, Choluteca, Valle, Ocotepeque and Gracias a Dios, are not in the pool at the moment, so they cannot be targeted on their own.
14 targetable cities
Every city in the API is listed here. Ten of the 14 departments also have at least one city entry; Copán, El Paraíso, Intibucá and La Paz can be targeted at department level only.
Danlí, Santa Rosa de Copán, Puerto Cortés and Villanueva are not separate targets: use El Paraíso, Copán or Cortés department instead.
Honduran mobile proxy carriers
Tigo and Claro run the country’s two main mobile networks, and our mobile pool covers both. Mobile sessions can be narrowed to Francisco Morazán or Cortés department, and to Tegucigalpa or San Pedro Sula as cities; elsewhere, target the country.
Fixed-line ISPs
The national networks are covered: Tigo, Claro and Hondutel, the long-established fixed-line operator. So are regional cable and internet providers such as Cable Color, Multicable, Tevisat, Olancho Net, Max TV Cable and Honduvision. More than 20 networks in total.
Why the long tail matters. CONATEL counted 595,214 fixed internet subscribers in the first quarter of 2026, in all 18 departments. IPs drawn from the big operators and smaller local networks look like ordinary Honduran households; a pool on one provider is easy to spot.
What teams use Honduran proxies for
Common workloads on our Honduras network
Retail & price monitoring
Track prices, promotions and stock at Diunsa, La Colonia, Jetstereo and PriceSmart Honduras exactly as Honduran shoppers see them.
SERP & local SEO tracking
Check Google rankings, map packs and ads as searchers in Tegucigalpa, San Pedro Sula or La Ceiba see them, in Spanish or English, instead of one generic “Honduras” location.
Social media & app testing
Run Honduran accounts, follow Spanish-language conversations and test apps from Tigo and Claro mobile IPs, so sessions look like a local phone rather than a server.
Classifieds, property & car data
Collect listings from Encuentra24 to follow rents, house prices and used-car values in Tegucigalpa, San Pedro Sula and the coast.
News sites & ad verification
Confirm that campaigns aimed at Honduras appear on La Prensa and El Heraldo in the right cities, and see the ads on those news sites as local readers do.
Travel & checkout testing
Compare hotel and tour prices for Roatán and La Ceiba as Honduran visitors see them, and check that your own site shows local shipping options and payment methods.

Free Honduras proxy lists vs paid Honduran proxies
Why free lists rarely work on Honduran sites
Free Honduras proxy lists are easy to find, but most entries are open servers already abused by thousands of users. They go offline within hours and are blacklisted by the Honduran shops, banks and apps you want to reach. A cheap residential proxy trial costs less than the time lost on dead IPs.
| Free Honduras proxy lists | ProxyEmpire Honduran proxies | |
|---|---|---|
| IP source | Open or hijacked servers, mostly data centres | Real Honduran homes and Tigo or Claro SIM cards |
| Uptime | Minutes to hours before an IP disappears | Always-on pool, with rotating or sticky sessions |
| Blocks | Usually blacklisted on major Honduran sites | Looks like an ordinary local visitor |
| Targeting | Country at best | Department, city, ZIP, ISP, ASN and OS fingerprint |
| Privacy | Unknown operator can log or alter your traffic | Authenticated access over HTTP(S) or SOCKS5 |
| Cost | Free | From $1.50/GB, with a $1.97 trial |

Honduras proxy FAQ
Straight answers
What is a Honduras proxy server, and what makes it residential?
A Honduras proxy server (HN proxy) gives you a Honduras IP address, so websites treat you as a visitor from Honduras. A Honduras residential proxy (proxy residencial in Spanish) goes one step further: it routes your traffic through a real Honduran household’s connection, on a network like Tigo, Claro or a local cable operator, instead of a data centre. That makes it far less likely to be blocked.
Can I target specific Honduran departments, cities or ISPs?
Yes. You can target 14 of the 18 departments, 14 cities, and more than 20 local ISPs. ISP targeting lets you pin a rotating residential session to one named provider, such as Tigo or Cable Color. Residential and mobile proxies can also be targeted by ZIP code, ASN and OS fingerprint. Choluteca, Valle, Ocotepeque and Gracias a Dios are not in the pool at the moment.
Do you offer Honduras mobile proxies?
Yes, on both Tigo and Claro. Mobile IPs are shared by many real subscribers, so they are hard for websites to block. Mobile location targeting covers Francisco Morazán and Cortés departments, and Tegucigalpa and San Pedro Sula as cities.
How much do Honduras proxies cost?
Rotating residential starts at $1.50/GB on larger plans and rotating mobile at $2.00/GB. Pay As You Go lets you buy a single GB of residential traffic for $3.50, with no subscription. Plans are billed in US dollars, Honduran targeting is included at no extra charge, and you can start with a $1.97 trial. Datacenter proxies are not offered in Honduras.
Can I keep the same Honduras IP address?
Yes. Rotating residential and mobile proxies both support sticky sessions, which keep the same Honduran IP across requests. Static residential IPs are not offered in Honduras.
Which protocols and tools are supported?
HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5. The proxies work with any scraper, headless browser, anti-detect browser or HTTP library, and there is no limit on concurrent sessions.
Why not use a free Honduras proxy?
Free proxies are slow, blocked on most major sites, and often run by operators who log or resell your traffic. For anything work-related, a paid residential proxy is far more reliable.
Is using a proxy in Honduras legal?
Proxies are a standard tool for price monitoring, SEO and ad verification. What matters is how you use them: respect websites’ terms of service, and handle any personal data you collect about people in Honduras with care and in line with the rules that apply to you.
