Residential Β· Mobile
Real Mozambican IPs, from Maputo to Beira and Nampula
Mozambican proxies on real residential connections in six cities: Maputo, Beira, Nampula, Chimoio, Quelimane and Tete. Our Mozambique proxies give you a genuine Mozambique IP on Vodacom, Movitel, Tmcel, TVCabo and four more networks, plus mobile IPs on Movitel, with rotating or sticky sessions.
Priced per GB, not per IP: residential from $1.50/GB, mobile from $2.00/GB. Unused bandwidth rolls over.
Choose your Mozambique proxy type
Two ways to get a Mozambican IP address
Rotating residential
Residential IPs in six Mozambican cities on eight networks, including Vodacom, Movitel, Tmcel and TVCabo. Best for price monitoring, SERP tracking and data collection from Mozambican sites.
- Province, city, ZIP, ISP and ASN targeting
- New IP per request or sticky sessions
- OS fingerprint targeting (Windows, macOS, Linux, Android)
- Pay as you go from 1 GB
Rotating mobile
Mozambique mobile proxy IPs on Movitel, in Maputo, Beira and Nampula. Best for social media, app testing and strict anti-bot systems.
- Province, city, ZIP, carrier and ASN targeting
- OS fingerprint targeting
- Rotate on demand or keep a sticky session
Need the same IP for weeks at a time? Static residential proxies are not offered in Mozambique; use a sticky session to hold the same Mozambican IP on residential or mobile. Datacenter IPs are not available in Mozambique at the moment.
Mozambique at a glance
Why a local IP changes what you see
Search results, telecom offers, job listings and the ads served on Mozambican news sites all depend on where a request comes from. A visitor in Maputo sees Portuguese-language pages and prices in meticais; a request from a foreign server often gets a generic version, or is blocked.
Mozambique is also a long country, and what is on offer in Maputo is not always what a customer in Nampula or Beira sees. Picking the province or city is what makes local data comparable, and a request from a Mozambican home or phone looks like an ordinary customer, while data-centre traffic is far more likely to be flagged.
| Fact | Figure | Why it matters for proxy work |
|---|---|---|
| Population | 34.96 million (official projection for 2026), about 35% urban; 27.9 million at the 2017 census | A large, fast-growing market; province and city targeting let you focus on the places you care about. |
| Administrative units | Ten provinces plus Maputo City, which has provincial status | Seven provinces and Maputo City are selectable today; they were home to 83% of Mozambicans at the 2017 census. |
| Currency | Mozambican metical (MZN, MT), issued by Banco de Moçambique | Mozambican shops and operators quote prices in meticais, so collect them from the local version of a site. |
| Language | Portuguese is the official language; 47% of people aged five and over spoke it at the 2017 census | Most Mozambican sites, ads and searches are in Portuguese, so check the version local users actually get. |
| Mobile networks | Vodacom 8.59 million, Movitel 7.16 million, Tmcel 1.37 million active subscribers (2024) | Movitel is in our mobile pool; Vodacom and Tmcel IPs are available through residential ISP targeting. |
| Mobile money | M-Pesa (Vodacom), e-Mola (Movitel) and mKesh (Tmcel), interoperable since July 2022 | Mozambican sign-up and payment flows are built around these wallets, so test them from a Mozambican IP. |

What our Mozambique proxy coverage actually reaches
Read from the live API, not a brochure
Whether you run one proxy Mozambique-wide or pin a session to a province, city or network, here is exactly what you can target today, taken from the same API our dashboard uses.
7 of Mozambique’s 10 provinces, plus Maputo City
The API returns eight regions: seven of the ten provinces and Maputo City (Cidade de Maputo). Niassa, Inhambane and Gaza are not selectable as regions today, and we do not list them as covered. A country-level session draws on the whole Mozambican pool. Mobile IPs can be targeted in six of these: Maputo City, Sofala, Nampula, ZambΓ©zia, Manica and Cabo Delgado.
6 targetable cities
Every city the API returns for Mozambique, each in a different region: the capital, the port of Beira, and the provincial capitals of Nampula, Manica (Chimoio), ZambΓ©zia (Quelimane) and Tete. Mobile IPs can be pinned to Maputo, Beira or Nampula. Matola, Pemba, Nacala, Lichinga and Xai-Xai cannot be targeted as cities; the Maputo Province and Cabo Delgado regions have no city of their own in the API.
Mozambique mobile proxy carriers
Mozambique has three mobile networks: Vodacom, Movitel and Tmcel. Only Movitel is in our mobile pool today, covering 7.16 million of the 17.12 million active mobile subscribers the regulator INCM counted in 2024. Vodacom, the largest network, and Tmcel are missing from the mobile carrier list. Both do appear in the residential pool as internet providers, so you can still get a Vodacom or Tmcel IP through residential ISP targeting.
Mozambican ISPs in the residential pool
Residential IPs come from eight networks: Vodacom, Movitel and Tmcel; TVCabo (TV Cabo β Comunicaçáes MultimΓ©dia), the cable and fibre provider that INCM lists as part of the Tmcel group; Teledata de MoΓ§ambique; Starlink satellite internet; and two smaller providers, Moztel and Voiptech. Every one of them can be targeted in Maputo.
Honest counts, real addresses. Six cities and eight networks will not suit a job that needs IPs spread across every district. They do cover the capital, the main cities of the centre and north, and the provinces where more than four in five Mozambicans live.
What teams use Mozambican proxies for
Common workloads on our Mozambican network
Local SEO & SERP tracking
Check Google rankings, local results and ads in Portuguese as a searcher in Maputo, Beira or Nampula sees them, instead of one generic “Mozambique” location.
Telecom & broadband offers
Track data bundles, fibre plans and promotions on the Vodacom, Movitel and TVCabo websites exactly as a customer in Mozambique sees them, in meticais.
Ad verification on news sites
Confirm that campaigns aimed at Mozambique appear in the right placements, for example on news sites such as Jornal NotΓcias and O PaΓs, and that Portuguese landing pages display correctly.
Jobs & labour-market data
Follow hiring demand, job titles and salaries on Mozambican job boards such as emprego.co.mz, city by city, as local job seekers see them.
Mobile money & app testing
Test sign-up, top-up and payment flows built for M-Pesa, e-Mola and mKesh users, with e-Mola checks from Movitel mobile IPs on the same network.
Price monitoring & e-commerce
Collect prices, stock and delivery charges from Mozambican online shops and classifieds, in meticais and from the city the buyer is in.
Mozambique proxy pricing
Cheap to start β all Mozambican targeting included
You can buy Mozambique proxies without a long commitment: try the network for $1.97, pay as you go from a single GB at $3.50, or take a larger plan for as little as $1.50/GB. Mozambique residential proxies cost the same as in every other country, in US dollars per GB of traffic rather than per IP. Mobile starts at $4.50 for 1 GB and goes down to $2.00/GB. Province, city, ZIP, ISP, ASN and OS fingerprint targeting cost nothing extra, and unused bandwidth rolls over.

Free Mozambique proxy lists vs paid Mozambican proxies
Why free lists rarely work on Mozambican sites
Search for a free Mozambique proxy list and you will find a handful of entries at best. Most are open servers already used by thousands of people; they go offline within hours, are often not in Mozambique at all and are blocked by the sites and apps you want to reach. A $1.97 trial of real Mozambican IPs costs less than the time lost on dead proxies.
| Free Mozambique proxy lists | ProxyEmpire Mozambican proxies | |
|---|---|---|
| IP source | Open or hijacked servers, mostly data centres | Real Mozambican homes and Movitel SIM cards |
| Uptime | Minutes to hours before an IP disappears | Always-on pool, with rotating or sticky sessions |
| Blocks | Usually blacklisted on major sites | Looks like an ordinary local visitor |
| Targeting | Country at best | Province, city, ZIP, ISP, ASN and OS fingerprint |
| Security | Unknown operator can log or alter your traffic | Authenticated access over HTTP(S) or SOCKS5 |
| Cost | Free | From $1.50/GB, with a $1.97 trial |

Mozambique proxy FAQ
Straight answers
What is a Mozambican proxy (MZ proxy)?
A Mozambican proxy, or Mozambique proxy server, gives you a Mozambique IP address, so websites treat you as a visitor from Mozambique. A residential Mozambican proxy server goes one step further: it routes your traffic through a real connection on a network such as Vodacom, Movitel, Tmcel or TVCabo instead of a data centre, which makes it far less likely to be blocked.
Can I target specific provinces, cities or ISPs in Mozambique?
Yes. You can target seven provinces plus Maputo City, six cities (Maputo, Beira, Nampula, Chimoio, Quelimane and Tete) and eight Mozambican ISPs. Residential and mobile proxies can also be targeted by ZIP code, ASN and OS fingerprint, at no extra charge. Niassa, Inhambane and Gaza are not available as regions.
Do you offer Mozambique mobile proxies?
Yes, on Movitel, in Maputo, Beira and Nampula and in six regions. Vodacom and Tmcel are not in the mobile pool today; for their IPs, use residential proxies with ISP targeting. Mobile IPs are shared by many real subscribers, which makes them among the hardest IPs for websites to block.
Do you have Mozambican datacenter or static IPs?
Not at the moment. Datacenter and static residential proxies are not offered with Mozambican IPs. For a long-lived Mozambique IP, use a sticky session on residential or mobile.
How much do Mozambique proxies cost?
Rotating residential costs $3.50 for 1 GB on Pay As You Go and as little as $1.50/GB on larger plans; rotating mobile costs $4.50 for 1 GB, down to $2.00/GB. Prices are in US dollars, per GB rather than per IP, and Mozambican targeting is included. You can start with a $1.97 trial.
Can I keep the same Mozambique IP?
Yes. Rotating residential and mobile proxies both support sticky sessions, which hold the same Mozambican IP across requests instead of switching on every request.
Do the proxies work on Portuguese-language sites?
Yes. Portuguese is Mozambique’s official language, and Portuguese speakers often search for a “proxy MoΓ§ambique”. A Mozambican IP gets you the same local version a visitor in Maputo sees, over HTTP, HTTPS or SOCKS5, with no limit on concurrent sessions.
Is there a free Mozambique proxy that works?
For a one-off look at a page, a free proxy sometimes works. For regular work, no: free lists for Mozambique are short, the entries are slow, often flagged and may not be in Mozambique at all, and their operators may log or resell your traffic. There is no way to choose the city or network.
Is using a proxy in Mozambique legal?
Proxies are a standard tool for price monitoring, SEO and ad verification. What matters is how you use them: respect websites’ terms of service, and follow Mozambique’s Electronic Transactions Law (Law No. 3/2017 of 9 January), which includes rules on personal data, whenever you collect personal data.
