Bruneian IPs from real homes and SIM cards
Bruneian proxies on real home broadband and mobile connections in Brunei Darussalam, all running on UNN, the national network behind DST, Progresif and imagine. Our Brunei proxies reach Bandar Seri Begawan and Kuala Belait, in the two districts home to 87% of residents, with rotating or sticky sessions.
Bruneian proxy servers priced per GB, not per IP. Unused bandwidth rolls over.

Two ways to get a Brunei IP address
Rotating residential
Home broadband IPs on Brunei’s national network, in Bandar Seri Begawan and the Brunei-Muara district and in Kuala Belait in the west. Best for scraping, price monitoring and SERP tracking.
- District, city, ZIP, ISP and ASN targeting
- New IP per request or sticky sessions
- OS fingerprint targeting (Windows, macOS, Linux, Android)
Rotating mobile
Mobile IPs on UNN, the network every Bruneian phone connects through, targetable in the Brunei-Muara and Belait districts and in Bandar Seri Begawan. Best for social media, app testing and the strictest anti-bot systems.
- District, city, carrier and ASN targeting
- OS fingerprint targeting
- Rotate on demand or keep a sticky session
Need the same IP for weeks at a time? Static residential proxies are not offered in Brunei. Use a sticky session to hold the same Bruneian IP on residential or mobile instead, or see our Singapore proxies, where static IPs are available. Datacenter IPs are not available in Brunei either.
Brunei Darussalam at a glance
Why a local IP changes what you see
Bruneian websites show Bruneian visitors a different internet. Prices in Brunei dollars, the delivery areas offered at checkout, Google.com.bn results and the ads served in Malay and English all depend on where a request comes from. A request from a server abroad often lands on a Malaysian, Singaporean or international version of the same site.
It is a small market, and a concentrated one. Brunei Darussalam has fewer than half a million residents in four districts, and about 73% of them live in Brunei-Muara, the district that contains the capital, Bandar Seri Begawan. Belait, in the west, has the second-largest population, and Kuala Belait is its main town.
The network picture is just as concentrated. Since 1 September 2019, all fixed and mobile network infrastructure in the country has been run by one wholesale operator, Unified National Networks (UNN), while the retail brands DST, Progresif and imagine sell plans on top of it. A real Bruneian home or phone connection therefore sits on UNN, and that is exactly what Bruneian sites expect to see. Data-centre traffic, by contrast, is flagged as a bot straight away on well-protected sites.
| Fact | Figure | Why it matters for proxy work |
|---|---|---|
| Population | About 458,600 (2025 estimate) | A small audience, so many sites group Brunei with Malaysia or Singapore. A local IP shows which version a Bruneian visitor actually gets. |
| Districts | 4 districts: Brunei-Muara 332,700 residents, Belait 67,900, Tutong 48,500, Temburong 9,500 (2025) | Our pool covers Brunei-Muara and Belait, the two districts home to about 87% of residents. |
| Currency | Brunei dollar (BND, B$), exchanged at par with the Singapore dollar under the Currency Interchangeability Agreement of 1967 | B$ and S$ prices often look identical, so only a Bruneian IP confirms which storefront, delivery fees and payment options local buyers get. |
| Language | Malay is the official language; English is widely used in business and online | Localised pages, ads and search results should be checked in both languages. |
| Telecoms | One wholesale network, UNN, since 1 September 2019; three retail providers: DST, imagine and Progresif | Every Bruneian IP in our pool is on UNN, the same network local customers use. |
| Time zone and domain | UTC+8 all year; country domain .bn | Schedule checks for Bruneian evening peak hours, and track rankings on Google.com.bn rather than a generic Google. |

What our Brunei proxy coverage actually reaches
Read from the live API, not a brochure
Many providers list Brunei as a single country checkbox and leave it there. Here you can run Brunei Darussalam proxies country-wide or pin a session to the district and city your target cares about. Everything below comes from the same API our dashboard uses, with nothing rounded up, and for a market this size that means short lists.
2 of Brunei’s 4 districts
Brunei-Muara, the capital district and by far the most populous, is covered, together with Belait in the west. Between them they hold about 400,600 of the country’s 458,600 residents. Tutong, between the two, and Temburong, in the east, are not in the pool at the moment, so a proxy set to those districts is not available.
2 targetable cities
That is the full list, not a selection. Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital, sits in Brunei-Muara; Kuala Belait is the main town of Belait, on the coast in the far west of the country. Other towns, such as Seria in Belait, are not separate targets: set the Belait district instead, or leave the location at country level. For a Bandar Seri Begawan or Kuala Belait proxy, pick the city in the dashboard.
Mobile carriers
Brunei’s mobile market has three retail brands, DST, Progresif and imagine, but a single network underneath them: UNN has operated the mobile and fixed infrastructure for all of them since 2019. That is why our API lists one mobile network, not three. To be plain about it: you cannot pick DST, Progresif or imagine by name, because their subscribers’ traffic leaves through the same UNN network. Mobile IPs can be targeted to the Brunei-Muara and Belait districts, and to Bandar Seri Begawan at city level.
Fixed-line ISPs
Home broadband works the same way. Fibre and other fixed lines are sold by the retail providers but run on UNN infrastructure, so every Bruneian residential IP in our pool is registered to UNN. ISP targeting therefore has one Bruneian option. It is not a gap in the pool; it is how the country’s internet is built.
Why one network still gives you variety. Anti-bot systems know that Bruneian homes and phones connect through UNN, so a UNN address looks like an ordinary local customer, because that is what it is. Variety comes from the other levers: rotate across many household IPs, switch between a Bandar Seri Begawan and a Kuala Belait location, or move from home broadband to a mobile IP when a target is strict.
What teams use Bruneian proxies for

Local SEO & SERP tracking
Check Google.com.bn rankings, map packs and ads from Bandar Seri Begawan or Kuala Belait, in Malay or English, instead of from a generic location outside the country.

Ad verification & localisation
Confirm that campaigns aimed at Brunei run on the placements you paid for, including local news sites such as The Scoop, and that Malay and English versions of ads and landing pages display correctly.
Telecom plan comparison
Compare the prepaid, postpaid and home broadband offers of DST, Progresif and imagine as a Bruneian visitor sees them, including promotions shown only to local IPs.
Delivery apps & app testing
Check menus, delivery fees and delivery zones on food and grocery apps from Bruneian locations, and test your own apps from a UNN mobile IP so sessions look like a local phone.

Free Brunei proxy lists vs paid Bruneian proxies
Why a free Brunei proxy rarely works
A free Brunei proxy is easy to find on public lists, but most entries are open servers that thousands of other users have already scanned and abused. They go offline within hours, are rarely on a Bruneian home network at all, and are blacklisted by the sites you want to reach.
| Free Brunei proxy lists | ProxyEmpire Bruneian proxies | |
|---|---|---|
| IP source | Open or hijacked servers, mostly data centres | Real Bruneian homes and SIM cards on UNN |
| Uptime | Minutes to hours before an IP disappears | Always-on pool, with rotating or sticky sessions |
| Blocks | Usually blacklisted on major sites | Looks like an ordinary local visitor |
| Targeting | Country at best | District, city, ZIP, ISP, ASN and OS fingerprint |
| Security | Unknown operator can log or alter your traffic | Authenticated access over HTTP(S) or SOCKS5 |
| Cost | Free | From $1.50/GB, with a $1.97 trial |

Brunei proxy FAQ
Straight answers
What is a Bruneian proxy server?
A Bruneian proxy server, or Brunei Darussalam proxy server, gives you an IP address in Brunei, so websites treat you as a visitor from the country. A Brunei residential proxy goes one step further: it routes your traffic through a real household’s connection instead of a data centre, which makes it far less likely to be flagged. In the dashboard this is country code BN, so a BN proxy, a Brunei proxy and a Bruneian proxy all mean the same pool.
How do I get a Brunei IP address?
Sign up, choose Brunei as the country and connect through the endpoint the dashboard generates. Each request then leaves through a Bruneian IP that local websites see as an ordinary visitor.
Can I target specific Bruneian districts, cities or ISPs?
Yes, within what the country’s network allows. Residential proxies can be targeted to 2 of the 4 districts (Brunei-Muara and Belait) and to Bandar Seri Begawan and Kuala Belait. ZIP code, ASN and OS fingerprint targeting are also included. ISP targeting has one Bruneian option, UNN, because all home and mobile lines in Brunei run on that network.
Do you offer Brunei mobile proxies?
Yes, on the UNN mobile network, which carries DST, Progresif and imagine subscribers. Mobile IPs can be targeted to the Brunei-Muara and Belait districts and to Bandar Seri Begawan. The individual retail brands cannot be selected separately.
Do you have Brunei datacenter or static IPs?
Not at the moment. Datacenter and static residential proxies are not offered with Bruneian IPs. For a long-lived Bruneian IP, use a sticky session on residential or mobile.
How much do Brunei proxies cost?
Rotating residential starts at $1.50/GB on larger plans and rotating mobile at $2.00/GB. Bruneian targeting is included at no extra charge, and you can start with a $1.97 trial.
Can I keep the same Brunei IP?
Yes. Rotating residential and mobile proxies both support sticky sessions, which keep the same Bruneian IP across requests instead of switching on every request.
Which protocols and tools are supported?
HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5. The proxies work with any scraper, headless browser, anti-detect browser or HTTP library, and there is no limit on concurrent sessions.
Why not use a free Brunei proxy?
Free proxies are slow, flagged on most major sites, and often run by operators who log or resell your traffic. For anything work-related, a paid residential proxy is safer and far more reliable.
Can I use Brunei Darussalam proxies for business?
Yes. Proxies are a standard tool for market research, price monitoring, SEO and ad verification. What matters is how you use them: respect websites’ terms of service, and follow the data-protection rules that apply whenever you collect personal data.
