Real Eritrean IPs on home and mobile connections
Eritrean proxies on real connections: residential IPs you can pin to Asmara, and mobile IPs in the Maekel region around the capital. Our Eritrea proxies give you a genuine Eritrea IP address with rotating or sticky sessions over HTTP(S) or SOCKS5. Start with a $1.97 trial, then pay as you go from 1 GB.
Priced per GB, not per IP: residential from $1.50/GB, mobile from $2.00/GB. Unused bandwidth rolls over.
Choose your Eritrea proxy type
Two ways to get an Eritrean IP address
Rotating residential
An Eritrea proxy server on real home and office internet connections, pinned to Asmara or the Maekel region if you need it. Best for price checks, SERP tracking and ad verification.
- Country, region (Maekel) and city (Asmara) targeting
- New IP per request or sticky sessions
- OS fingerprint targeting (Windows, macOS, Linux, Android)
- Pay as you go from 1 GB
Rotating mobile
Eritrean mobile IPs on real phone connections in the Maekel region. Best for app testing, mobile versions of sites and targets with strict anti-bot systems.
- Country and region (Maekel) targeting
- OS fingerprint targeting
- Rotate on demand or keep a sticky session
Need the same IP for weeks at a time? Static residential proxies are not offered in Eritrea; use a sticky session to hold the same Eritrean IP on residential or mobile. Datacenter IPs are not available in Eritrea at the moment.
Eritrea at a glance
Why a local IP changes what you see
Search results, ads, prices and even the language a page opens in can depend on where a request comes from. A visitor in Asmara may be shown a Tigrinya, Arabic or English version of a page, local offers and prices in nakfa; a request from a foreign data centre often gets a generic version, a different price or a bot check.
Asmara is the capital and sits in the Maekel region, called the Central region in English. That is where our Eritrean IPs are, so the table below sticks to the facts that change how you set up a proxy job.
| Fact | Figure | Why it matters for proxy work |
|---|---|---|
| Capital | Asmara, in the Maekel region | Asmara is the one city in our Eritrean targeting, so you can pin a residential session to the capital. |
| Region we cover | Maekel, “Central” in English, ISO 3166-2 code ER-MA | Maekel is the region name in our targeting, for residential and mobile alike. |
| Currency | Eritrean nakfa (ERN), issued by the Bank of Eritrea | Local prices you collect are in nakfa. ProxyEmpire plans are billed in US dollars. |
| Languages & script | Tigrinya, Arabic and English are the working languages; Tigrinya is written in the Ge’ez script | Check keywords, ads and landing pages in each language, and make sure Ge’ez text renders the way local visitors see it. |
| Time zone | UTC+3 (East Africa Time) all year, with no clock changes | Schedule daily price checks and “today only” offers on Asmara time. |
| Internet domain | .er, administered by EriTel | The IP address, not the domain, decides which local version of a site you are shown. |
| Telecom operator | EriTel (Eritrea Telecommunication Services Corporation) runs the fixed-line and mobile networks; it is the only mobile operator | Our API lists no Eritrean ISP or carrier by name, so targeting stops at the Maekel region and Asmara. |

What our Eritrea proxy coverage actually reaches
Read from the live API, not a brochure
Most lists that offer a proxy Eritrea option stop at the country. Here is exactly what our Eritrean proxies can target today, taken from the same API our dashboard uses. Nothing below is rounded up.
Region you can target: Maekel
The API returns one region for Eritrea, for residential and mobile alike: Maekel, the Central region (ISO 3166-2 code ER-MA), which contains the capital. Pin a session to Maekel, or leave the region open and draw on the whole Eritrean pool at country level. Other regions cannot be selected by name today.
1 targetable city: Asmara
Asmara is the only city in the API, and it is a residential target: you can pin a residential session to the capital. Mobile IPs are listed at region level only, so a mobile session can be pinned to Maekel but not to Asmara by name. Other towns are not city targets today.
Eritrea mobile proxy carrier
Eritrea has one mobile operator, EriTel, which also runs the fixed-line network. Our API returns mobile IPs in the Maekel region but does not list a mobile carrier by name for Eritrea, so carrier targeting is not available: choose Eritrea as the country and Maekel as the region instead.
Eritrean fixed-line ISPs
Our API does not list any Eritrean ISP by name either, so ISP targeting is not available for Eritrea today. You reach Eritrean home and office connections by choosing the country, the Maekel region or Asmara. If your job depends on a particular network, run it on the $1.97 trial before you buy a plan.
Honest counts, real addresses. One region, one city and no ISP or carrier targeting will not suit a job that needs IPs pinned to towns outside the capital area. They do give you genuine Eritrean home and mobile IPs in the region around Asmara, with the same rotation, sticky sessions and per-GB pricing as every other country.
What teams use Eritrean proxies for
Common workloads on our Eritrean network
Local SEO & SERP tracking
Check Google rankings, local results and ads for Tigrinya, Arabic and English queries exactly as a searcher in Asmara sees them, instead of the result set served to a foreign IP.
Price & availability checks
Track the prices, stock and delivery options that online shops and services show visitors in Eritrea, and compare them with what the same pages show elsewhere.
Ad verification
Confirm that campaigns aimed at Eritrea appear in the right language, with the right creative and landing page, on the sites and apps you paid for.
Localisation & QA testing
Check that your own site or app shows Eritrean visitors the right language, currency and Ge’ez text, and that sign-up and checkout work from a local connection.
Airline & travel fares
Compare how airlines, hotels and booking sites price the same trip for someone browsing from Eritrea against the rates shown to visitors abroad.
Apps & browser profiles
Test mobile apps from Eritrean mobile IPs in the Maekel region, or give each anti-detect browser profile its own Eritrea IP address.

Free Eritrea proxy lists vs paid Eritrean proxies
Why free lists rarely work for Eritrea
Search for a free Eritrea proxy list and you will find a handful of entries at best. Most are open servers already found and used by thousands of other people. They stop working within hours, are often not in Eritrea at all and are quickly flagged by the sites you want to check. ProxyEmpire is a paid, authenticated service for businesses that need an Eritrea IP address.
| Free Eritrea proxy lists | ProxyEmpire Eritrean proxies | |
|---|---|---|
| IP source | Open or hijacked servers, mostly data centres, often not in Eritrea | Real Eritrean home, office and mobile connections |
| Uptime | Minutes to hours before an IP stops working | Always-on pool, with rotating or sticky sessions |
| Detection | Usually flagged as bots on major sites | Looks like an ordinary local visitor |
| Targeting | Country at best, and often wrong | Maekel region, Asmara and OS fingerprint |
| Who runs it | Unknown operator who can log or alter your traffic | Authenticated access over HTTP(S) or SOCKS5 |
| Cost | Free | From $1.50/GB, with a $1.97 trial |

Eritrea proxy FAQ
Straight answers
What is an Eritrean proxy (ER proxy)?
An Eritrean proxy, or Eritrea proxy server, is a server that gives you an Eritrea IP address, so websites treat you as a visitor from Eritrea. An Eritrea residential proxy goes one step further: it routes your traffic through a real home or mobile connection in Eritrea instead of a data centre, which makes it far less likely to be flagged.
How do I get an Eritrea IP address?
Start the $1.97 trial, set the country to Eritrea (ER) and use the generated endpoint in your browser or tool. Requests then leave from a real Eritrean home or mobile IP.
Can I target Asmara, other regions or ISPs?
Partly. Residential IPs can be pinned to the Maekel region or to Asmara, and mobile IPs to the Maekel region. The API lists no Eritrean ISP or mobile carrier by name, so ISP and carrier targeting are not available, and other regions and towns cannot be selected by name. OS fingerprint targeting costs nothing extra.
Do you offer Eritrea mobile proxies?
Yes, in the Maekel region. EriTel is Eritrea’s only mobile operator, but it is not listed as a selectable carrier in our API, so you choose the country and region rather than a carrier. Mobile IPs are shared by many real phone users, which makes them among the hardest IPs for websites to flag.
Do you have Eritrean datacenter or static IPs?
Not at the moment. Datacenter and static residential proxies are not offered with Eritrean IPs. For a long-lived Eritrea IP address, use a sticky session on residential or mobile. Datacenter IPs are available elsewhere in East Africa, in Kenya.
How much do Eritrea proxies cost?
Rotating residential costs $3.50 for 1 GB on Pay As You Go and as little as $1.50/GB on larger plans; rotating mobile costs $4.50 for 1 GB, down to $2.00/GB. Plans are billed in US dollars, per GB rather than per IP, and Eritrean targeting is included. You can start with a $1.97 trial.
Can I keep the same Eritrea IP?
Yes. Rotating residential and mobile proxies both support sticky sessions, which hold the same Eritrean IP across requests instead of switching on every request.
Which protocols do Eritrea proxies support?
HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5, on both residential and mobile. That covers browsers, anti-detect profiles, rank trackers and scraping tools, and there is no limit on concurrent sessions.
Is there a free Eritrea proxy that works?
For a one-off look at a page, a free Eritrea proxy sometimes works. For regular work, no: free lists for Eritrea are short, the entries are slow, often flagged and may not be in the country at all, and their operators may log or resell your traffic.
Is using a proxy legal?
Proxies are a standard networking tool for price monitoring, SEO and ad verification. What matters is how you use them: respect each website’s terms of service, and follow the data protection rules that apply to you whenever you collect personal data.
