Real Gambian IPs on Africell, QCell and five home ISPs
Gambian proxies on real connections: mobile IPs on Africell and QCell, and residential IPs on Gamtel, Netpage, DK Telecom, InSIST Net and QCell home internet. Our Gambia proxies give you a genuine Gambia IP address with rotating or sticky sessions, over HTTP(S) or SOCKS5. Start with a $1.97 trial, then pay as you go from 1 GB.
Priced per GB, not per IP: residential from $1.50/GB, mobile from $2.00/GB. Unused bandwidth rolls over.
Choose your Gambia proxy type
Two ways to get a Gambian IP address
Rotating residential
A Gambia proxy server on real home and office internet lines from five local providers, including Gamtel and Netpage. Best for classifieds scraping, price monitoring and SERP tracking.
- Region, city, ZIP, ISP and ASN targeting
- New IP per request or sticky sessions
- OS fingerprint targeting (Windows, macOS, Linux, Android)
- Pay as you go from 1 GB
Rotating mobile
Gambia mobile proxy IPs on Africell and QCell, the country’s two largest mobile networks. Best for social media, app testing and strict anti-bot systems.
- Region, city, ZIP, carrier and ASN targeting
- OS fingerprint targeting
- Rotate on demand or keep a sticky session
Need the same IP for weeks at a time? Static residential proxies are not offered in The Gambia; use a sticky session to hold the same Gambian IP on residential or mobile. Datacenter IPs are not available in The Gambia at the moment.
The Gambia at a glance
Why a local IP changes what you see
Search results, classified ads, telecom offers and the ads on Gambian news sites all depend on where a request comes from. A visitor in Banjul sees local offers and prices in dalasi; a request from a foreign data centre often gets a generic version, a different price or a block.
The Gambia is a small, English-speaking market along the Gambia River. The regulator PURA describes a relatively high level of mobile penetration, so a mobile IP on Africell or QCell is often the most natural way to look like a local visitor.
| Fact | Figure | Why it matters for proxy work |
|---|---|---|
| Population | 2,422,712 (2024 census, preliminary results) | A small market, so a short, honest list of real local networks matters more than raw pool size. |
| Local government areas | 8; Brikama (47.5%) and Kanifing (15.7%) together hold 63.2% of the population; Banjul 1.1% | Our API targets a coarser level: the City of Banjul and the five divisions, see below. |
| Currency | Gambian dalasi (GMD), 100 bututs, issued by the Central Bank of The Gambia since 1971 | Gambian shops and classifieds quote dalasi, so collect prices from the local version of a site. |
| Language | English; the statistics bureau, central bank and regulator all publish in English | Gambian sites and searches are mostly in English, which is why people search for a “Gambia proxy”. |
| Mobile networks | Four: Africell, QCell, Gamcel and Comium | Africell and QCell are in our mobile pool; Gamcel and Comium are not. |
| Internet providers | Licensed ISPs include Gamtel, QCell, InSIST Net and DK Telecom | All four are in our residential pool, plus Netpage. |

What our Gambia proxy coverage actually reaches
Read from the live API, not a brochure
Before you buy proxies, Gambia is worth seeing as it is: a small market with a short list of networks. Here is exactly what our Gambian proxies can target today, taken from the same API our dashboard uses.
3 of The Gambia’s 6 regions
Our region level for The Gambia is the one in ISO 3166-2: the City of Banjul plus five divisions, not the 8 local government areas the census uses. Residential IPs can be pinned to Banjul; mobile IPs to Banjul and Lower River on Africell, and to Central River on QCell. In census terms that is the Banjul, Mansakonko, Janjanbureh and Kuntaur areas, home to 15.8% of the population. West Coast (Brikama), Kanifing, North Bank and Upper River cannot be selected by name; a country-level session draws on the whole Gambian pool.
2 targetable cities: Banjul and Janjanbureh
Banjul, the capital, is the only city in the API for residential IPs, and it works for mobile too. Janjanbureh, in Central River, is a mobile-only city on QCell. Serekunda, Brikama, Bakau and Farafenni cannot be targeted by name, so if you need them, test with the $1.97 trial before buying a plan.
Gambia mobile proxy carriers
Our mobile pool covers two of The Gambia’s four mobile networks: Africell, which the regulator PURA names as the largest, and QCell. To be plain about the gap, Gamcel and Comium are not in the pool. Africell IPs sit in Banjul and Lower River, QCell IPs in Central River, so choose the carrier and the place together.
Gambian fixed-line ISPs
Residential IPs come from five local providers: Gamtel, the long-established fixed-line telecom company; Netpage, with fibre and wireless broadband; InSIST Net (INET), which sells home and office broadband around Greater Banjul; DK Telecom, a fibre and fixed-wireless provider; and QCell, which also sells home internet. The first four can be picked inside Banjul; QCell home IPs are available at country level.
Honest counts, real addresses. Three regions, two cities, five home ISPs and two mobile networks will not suit a job that needs IPs pinned to Brikama or Serekunda by name. They do give you genuine Gambian home and mobile IPs on the networks most Gambians use every day.
What teams use Gambian proxies for
Common workloads on our Gambian network
Classifieds & car prices
Collect listings from CarGambia to follow used-car, motorbike and truck prices in dalasi, exactly as local buyers see them.
Local SEO & SERP tracking
Check Google rankings, local results and ads as a searcher in Banjul sees them, instead of a result set served to a foreign IP.
Telecom offers
Track data bundles, home internet plans and promotions from Africell, QCell and Gamtel as a customer in The Gambia sees them.
Ad verification on news sites
Confirm that campaigns aimed at The Gambia appear in the right placements, for example on news sites such as The Point and Foroyaa, and that landing pages load correctly.
Travel & hotel prices
Compare hotel, flight and tour prices on the Atlantic coast as someone browsing from The Gambia sees them, against the rates shown to visitors abroad.
Apps, social & browser profiles
Test mobile apps and manage social accounts from Africell and QCell mobile IPs, or give each anti-detect browser profile its own Gambia IP address.

Free Gambia proxy lists vs paid Gambian proxies
Why free lists rarely work on Gambian sites
Search for a free proxy Gambia list and you will find a handful of entries at best. Most are open servers shared by thousands of people, offline within hours, often not in The Gambia at all and blocked by the sites you want to reach.
| Free Gambia proxy lists | ProxyEmpire Gambian proxies | |
|---|---|---|
| IP source | Open or hijacked servers, mostly data centres | Real Gambian home lines and Africell and QCell SIM cards |
| Uptime | Minutes to hours before an IP disappears | Always-on pool, with rotating or sticky sessions |
| Blocks | Usually blacklisted on major sites | Looks like an ordinary local visitor |
| Targeting | Country at best, and often wrong | Region, city, ZIP, ISP, carrier, ASN and OS fingerprint |
| Security | Unknown operator can log or alter your traffic | Authenticated access over HTTP(S) or SOCKS5 |
| Cost | Free | From $1.50/GB, with a $1.97 trial |

Gambia proxy FAQ
Straight answers
What is a Gambian proxy (GM proxy)?
A Gambian proxy, or Gambia proxy server, is a server that gives you a Gambia IP address, so websites treat you as a visitor from The Gambia. A Gambia residential proxy goes one step further: it routes your traffic through a real home or mobile connection in The Gambia instead of a data centre, which makes it far less likely to be blocked.
How do I get a Gambia IP address?
Start the $1.97 trial, set the country to Gambia (GM) and use the generated endpoint in your browser or tool. Requests then leave from a real Gambian home or mobile IP.
Can I target Banjul, other regions or ISPs in The Gambia?
Yes, within today’s coverage: Banjul for residential and mobile, Lower River and Central River for mobile, and Janjanbureh as a mobile city on QCell. ISP, carrier, ZIP, ASN and OS fingerprint targeting cost nothing extra. Serekunda, Brikama and the North Bank and Upper River regions are not available by name.
Do you offer Gambia mobile proxies?
Yes, on Africell and QCell, the two largest mobile networks in the country. Gamcel and Comium are not in our pool at the moment. Mobile IPs are shared by many real subscribers, which makes them among the hardest IPs for websites to block.
Do you have Gambian datacenter or static IPs?
Not at the moment. Datacenter and static residential proxies are not offered with Gambian IPs. For a long-lived Gambia IP address, use a sticky session on residential or mobile.
How much do Gambia proxies cost?
Rotating residential costs $3.50 for 1 GB on Pay As You Go and as little as $1.50/GB on larger plans; rotating mobile costs $4.50 for 1 GB, down to $2.00/GB. Plans are billed in US dollars, per GB rather than per IP, and Gambian targeting is included. You can start with a $1.97 trial.
Can I keep the same Gambia IP?
Yes. Rotating residential and mobile proxies both support sticky sessions, which hold the same Gambian IP across requests instead of switching on every request.
Is there a free Gambia proxy that works?
For a one-off look at a page, a free Gambia proxy sometimes works. For regular work, no: free lists for The Gambia are short, the entries are slow, often flagged and may not be in the country at all, and their operators may log or resell your traffic.
Is using a proxy in The Gambia legal?
Proxies are a standard tool for price monitoring, SEO and ad verification. What matters is how you use them: respect websites’ terms of service, and follow the data protection rules that apply to you whenever you collect personal data.
