Somali proxies on real local connections: our Somalia proxies route your traffic through residential and mobile IPs on Hormuud, Somtel, Telesom and other Somali networks. Priced per GB, not per IP: residential from $1.50/GB, mobile from $2.00/GB. Unused bandwidth rolls over.
Choose your Somalia proxy type
Two ways to get a Somali IP address
Rotating residential
A Somalia proxy server on real home and office internet lines from eight or more local providers, with IPs you can pin to Mogadishu, Hargeisa or Bosaso. Best for classifieds scraping, price monitoring and SERP tracking.
- Region, city, ZIP, ISP and ASN targeting
- New IP per request or sticky sessions
- OS fingerprint targeting (Windows, macOS, Linux, Android)
- Pay as you go from 1 GB
Rotating mobile
Somalia mobile proxy IPs on Hormuud, Somtel and Telesom, in six regions and five cities. Best for social media, app testing and strict anti-bot systems.
- Region, city, ZIP, carrier and ASN targeting
- OS fingerprint targeting
- Rotate on demand or keep a sticky session
Need the same IP for weeks at a time? Static residential proxies are not offered in Somalia; use a sticky session to hold the same Somali IP on residential or mobile. Datacenter IPs are not available in Somalia at the moment.
Somalia at a glance
Why a local IP changes what you see
Search results, classified ads, telecom offers and the ads on Somali-language sites all depend on where a request comes from. A visitor on a Somali connection sees local listings, local bundle prices and Somali or Arabic versions of a page; a request from a foreign data centre often gets a generic version, a different price or a block.
Somalia has several mobile networks as well as fixed wireless and fibre internet providers. Our pool spans both: three mobile carriers and eight or more home internet providers, so the facts below matter more than a raw pool size.
| Fact | Figure | Why it matters for proxy work |
|---|---|---|
| Languages | Somali and Arabic are the official languages; Somali is written in the Latin alphabet | Many sites publish in Somali and Arabic side by side, so check each language version from a local IP. |
| Currency | Somali shilling (ISO code SOS) | Record the currency shown with every price you collect, so data from different sites stays comparable. |
| Country code | SO; internet domain .so; calling code +252 | Choose SO in the dashboard. Some sites on .so domains are not Somali, so filter by content, not domain. |
| Time zone | East Africa Time, UTC+3, no daylight saving | Schedule scraping and rank checks around local business hours for the freshest listings. |
| Mobile networks | Include Hormuud, Somtel, Telesom, Golis, Amtel, Somlink and Nationlink, plus the virtual operator Somnet | Hormuud, Somtel and Telesom are in our mobile pool; the others are not. |
| Internet providers | Mobile operators plus fixed wireless and fibre providers such as Somali Optical Network, Somcable and Somcast Networks | Our residential pool spans eight or more of these providers, not a single network. |

What our Somalia proxy coverage actually reaches
Read from the live API, not a brochure
Here is exactly what our Somali proxies can target today, taken from the same API our dashboard uses. Residential and mobile cover different places, so each list says which product reaches where.
6 selectable regions
Banaadir, Bari and Woqooyi Galbeed are available on residential and mobile. Galguduud, Nugaal and Sanaag are available on mobile only. The API lists no city in Galguduud, so region-level targeting there draws on a smaller pool. Regions not in this list cannot be selected by name today; a country-level session draws on the whole Somali pool.
5 targetable cities
Mogadishu, Hargeisa and Bosaso are available on residential and mobile; Garowe and Erigavo on mobile only. Garowe appears as “Garoowe” in the API. Other towns cannot be targeted by name, so if you need one, test with the $1.97 trial before buying a plan.
Somalia mobile proxy carriers
Our API returns four mobile entries that map to three networks: Hormuud Telecom, Somtel (listed under two names) and Telesom. To be plain about the gaps, Golis, Amtel, Somlink, Nationlink and the virtual operator Somnet are not in our mobile pool at the moment, so you cannot target them as mobile carriers. Golis and Somlink do appear on the residential side.
Somali fixed-line ISPs
Residential IPs come from eight or more local providers: Hormuud, Somtel, Telesom and Golis Telecom, plus fixed wireless and fibre providers Somlink, Somali Optical Network, Somcable (including its SO! Gasho retail service) and Somcast Networks. The API also returns one network label we could not match to a brand, so we count conservatively: 8+. You can pin a session to any of these ISPs at no extra charge.
Honest counts, real addresses. Six regions, five cities, three mobile carriers and 8+ home internet providers will not suit a job that needs every Somali town by name. They do give you genuine Somali home and mobile IPs in the country’s main cities, on the networks people there use every day.
What teams use Somali proxies for
Common workloads on our Somali network
Classifieds & local prices
Collect listings and prices from Somali classified-ad, car and property pages to follow rents, vehicles and everyday goods exactly as local buyers see them.
Local SEO & SERP tracking
Check Google rankings, local results and ads in Somali, Arabic and English as a searcher in Mogadishu or Bosaso sees them, instead of a result set served to a foreign IP.
Telecom offers
Track data bundles, home internet plans and promotions from Hormuud, Somtel and Telesom as a customer on a local mobile connection sees them.
Ad verification
Confirm that campaigns aimed at Somalia appear in the right placements on Somali-language news and entertainment sites, and that landing pages load correctly on a local connection.
Travel & fares
Compare flight fares and hotel rates by point of sale, since booking sites often show visitors browsing from Somalia different prices from those shown abroad.
Apps, social & browser profiles
Test mobile apps and manage social accounts from Somali mobile IPs, or give each anti-detect browser profile its own Somalia IP address, so manual checks look local.
Buy Somalia proxies: plans and pricing
Cheap to start โ all Somali targeting included

Free Somalia proxy lists vs paid Somali proxies
Why free lists rarely work on Somali sites
Search for a free Somalia proxy list and you will find a handful of entries at best. Most are open servers shared by thousands of people, offline within hours, often not in Somalia at all and blocked by the sites you want to reach. A $1.97 trial of real Somali IPs costs less than the time lost on dead ones.
| Free Somalia proxy lists | ProxyEmpire Somali proxies | |
|---|---|---|
| IP source | Open or hijacked servers, mostly data centres | Real Somali home lines and mobile connections |
| Uptime | Minutes to hours before an IP disappears | Always-on pool, with rotating or sticky sessions |
| Blocks | Usually blacklisted on major sites | Looks like an ordinary local visitor |
| Targeting | Country at best, and often wrong | Region, city, ZIP, ISP, carrier, ASN and OS fingerprint |
| Security | Unknown operator can log or alter your traffic | Authenticated access over HTTP(S) or SOCKS5 |
| Cost | Free | From $1.50/GB, with a $1.97 trial |

Somalia proxy FAQ
Straight answers
What is a Somali proxy (SO proxy)?
A Somali proxy, or Somalia proxy server, is a server that gives you a Somalia IP address, so websites treat you as a visitor from Somalia. A Somalia residential proxy goes one step further: it routes your traffic through a real home or mobile connection in Somalia instead of a data centre, which makes it far less likely to be blocked.
How do I get a Somalia IP address?
Start the $1.97 trial, set the country to Somalia (SO) and use the generated endpoint in your browser or tool. Requests then leave from a real Somali home or mobile IP.
Can I target Somali cities, regions or ISPs?
Yes, within today’s coverage: six regions (Banaadir, Bari, Galguduud, Nugaal, Sanaag and Woqooyi Galbeed) and five cities (Mogadishu, Hargeisa, Bosaso, Garowe and Erigavo), plus ISP targeting on residential and carrier targeting on mobile. ZIP, ASN and OS fingerprint targeting cost nothing extra. Other towns are not available by name.
Do you offer Somalia mobile proxies?
Yes, on Hormuud, Somtel and Telesom. Golis, Amtel, Somlink, Nationlink and Somnet are not in our mobile pool at the moment. Mobile IPs are shared by many real subscribers, which makes them among the hardest IPs for websites to block.
Do you have Somali datacenter or static IPs?
Not at the moment. Datacenter and static residential proxies are not offered with Somali IPs. For a long-lived Somalia IP address, use a sticky session on residential or mobile.
How much do Somalia proxies cost?
Rotating residential costs $3.50 for 1 GB on Pay As You Go and as little as $1.50/GB on larger plans; rotating mobile costs $4.50 for 1 GB, down to $2.00/GB. Plans are billed in US dollars, per GB rather than per IP, and Somali targeting is included. You can start with a $1.97 trial.
Can I keep the same Somalia IP?
Yes. Rotating residential and mobile proxies both support sticky sessions, which hold the same Somali IP across requests instead of switching on every request.
Which protocols do Somalia proxies support?
HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5, on both residential and mobile. That covers browsers, anti-detect profiles and scraping tools.
Is there a free Somalia proxy that works?
For a one-off look at a page, a free Somalia proxy sometimes works. For regular work, no: free lists for Somalia are short, the entries are slow, often flagged and may not be in the country at all, and their operators may log or resell your traffic.
Is using a proxy in Somalia legal?
Proxies are a standard tool for price monitoring, SEO and ad verification. What matters is how you use them: respect websites’ terms of service, and follow the data protection rules that apply to you whenever you collect personal data.
