Bhutan Proxies: Residential & Mobile IPs

Bhutanese IPs from real homes and SIM cards

Bhutanese proxies on real home connections from DrukNet, TashiCell, NANO and Gelephu Digital Network, plus mobile IPs on B-Mobile. Our Bhutan proxies reach 11 of the country’s 20 dzongkhags, from Thimphu and Paro to Chhukha, Sarpang and Trashigang, with rotating or sticky sessions and city targeting in Thimphu.

Set up a Bhutan proxy server in minutes. Residential costs $3.50 for 1 GB and drops to $1.50/GB on larger plans, billed in US dollars per GB, not per IP. Unused bandwidth rolls over.

  • HTTP(S) & SOCKS5
  • No concurrent session limit
  • Sticky sessions or new IP per request
  • Bandwidth rolls over
  • 24/7 support from real people

Choose your Bhutan proxy type

Two ways to get a Bhutanese IP

Most popular

Rotating residential

A residential Bhutan proxy server routes you through a real home connection on DrukNet, TashiCell, NANO or Gelephu Digital Network, in eight dzongkhags from Thimphu and Paro to Sarpang and Trashigang. Best for scraping, price monitoring and SERP tracking on Google.bt.

$1.50/GB and up
  • Dzongkhag, city, ZIP, ISP and ASN targeting
  • New IP per request or sticky sessions
  • OS fingerprint targeting (Windows, macOS, Linux, Android)
  • Pay as you go from 1 GB

Rotating mobile

Bhutanese mobile proxies on B-Mobile, the mobile network of Bhutan Telecom, in Thimphu, Bumthang, Lhuentse and Tsirang. Best for account management, app testing and the strictest anti-bot systems.

$2.00/GB and up
  • Dzongkhag, city, carrier and ASN targeting
  • City targeting in Thimphu
  • OS fingerprint targeting
  • Rotate on demand or keep a sticky session

Need the same IP for weeks at a time? Static residential proxies are not offered in Bhutan. Use sticky sessions to hold the same Bhutanese IP on either proxy type above for as long as you need it.

Bhutan at a glance

Why a local IP changes what you see

Bhutan is a small market of well under a million people, and its websites are built for local visitors first. Shops list prices in ngultrum, news sites and job boards serve local ads, and search results on Google.bt differ from those a foreign server gets. What a visitor sees, and at what price, can depend on where the request comes from.

Location inside the country matters too. Almost a fifth of the population lives in Thimphu dzongkhag, while towns such as Phuentsholing in Chhukha, Gelephu in Sarpang and Samdrup Jongkhar serve the south and Trashigang the east. Delivery areas, stock and local ads can differ between them, so picking the dzongkhag is what makes the data comparable.

Bhutanese sites also check the network. Protected sites flag data-centre traffic as a bot straight away, while a DrukNet or TashiCell home line, or a phone on B-Mobile, looks like an ordinary Bhutanese customer, because it is one.

Fact Figure Why it matters for proxy work
Population 727,145 at the 2017 Population and Housing Census; about 791,000 projected for 2026 A compact market, so dzongkhag and network targeting matter more than raw pool size.
Administrative units 20 dzongkhags (districts) Region targeting follows the dzongkhags. Eleven of the twenty can be targeted today.
Where people live 37.7% urban; Thimphu dzongkhag 138,736 people, of whom 114,551 live in Thimphu city (2017) Thimphu is by far the largest town, and it is the one city you can target on its own.
Currency Bhutanese ngultrum (BTN), issued by the Royal Monetary Authority of Bhutan and pegged at par to the Indian rupee since 1974 Local shops list prices in ngultrum. ProxyEmpire plans are billed in US dollars.
Language Dzongkha is the national language Sites and ads may run in Dzongkha, English or both, so check the version local users get.
Time zone UTC+6 all year, no clock changes Schedule daily price and ranking checks on Thimphu time.
Mobile networks Two operators: Bhutan Telecom’s B-Mobile and Tashi InfoComm’s TashiCell Our mobile pool runs on B-Mobile.

What our Bhutan proxies actually reach

Read from the live API, not a brochure

Most lists of Bhutan proxies stop at the country. Here you can also pin a session to the dzongkhag, city and network your target cares about, using the same API our dashboard uses.

11 of Bhutan’s 20 dzongkhags

Region targeting in Bhutan follows the dzongkhags, and the API returns eleven of the twenty. Together they were home to about 68% of the population at the 2017 census. Each can be targeted on its own:

  • Thimphu
  • Paro
  • Chhukha
  • Wangdue Phodrang
  • Sarpang
  • Samdrup Jongkhar
  • Trashigang
  • Trashi Yangtse
  • Bumthang
  • Lhuentse
  • Tsirang

Residential proxies cover eight of them: Thimphu, Paro, Chhukha, Wangdue Phodrang, Sarpang, Samdrup Jongkhar, Trashigang and Trashi Yangtse. Mobile proxies cover Thimphu, Bumthang, Lhuentse and Tsirang. Dagana, Gasa, Haa, Monggar, Pema Gatshel, Punakha, Samtse, Trongsa and Zhemgang cannot be targeted on their own today. Some tools spell the names Chukha, Lhuntse or Trashiyangtse.

One targetable city: Thimphu

  • Thimphu

Thimphu, the capital, is the only city the API returns, and it works on both residential and mobile IPs. Other towns, such as Phuentsholing in Chhukha, Paro or Gelephu in Sarpang, are reached by choosing their dzongkhag rather than a city of their own.

Mobile carrier

  • B-Mobile

Bhutan has two mobile operators: Bhutan Telecom, with its B-Mobile service, and Tashi InfoComm, with TashiCell. Our mobile pool covers B-Mobile. In our network data it appears as DrukNet, Bhutan Telecom’s internet brand. TashiCell is not in the mobile pool at the moment, so mobile sessions in Bhutan run on B-Mobile only.

Home broadband ISPs

Residential IPs come from four Bhutanese networks: DrukNet, the internet service of Bhutan Telecom; TashiCell, from Tashi InfoComm; NANO; and Gelephu Digital Network, a local fibre provider in Sarpang. In Thimphu you can combine the city with DrukNet, TashiCell or NANO.

Honest counts, real addresses. One city, four home networks and one mobile carrier will not suit a job that needs hundreds of distinct Bhutanese locations. They do suit most Bhutan work: seeing what visitors in Thimphu see, comparing the west with the south and the east, and testing apps on B-Mobile.

What teams use Bhutanese proxies for

Common workloads on our Bhutanese network

E-commerce price monitoring

Track prices, stock and delivery terms on online stores such as Druksell and ShopOnline exactly as shoppers in Thimphu see them, in ngultrum.

Local SEO & SERP tracking

Check Google.bt rankings, map packs and ads from Thimphu, Paro or Sarpang, for English and Dzongkha queries, not from one generic location.

Jobs & hiring data

Follow vacancies and hiring demand on job boards such as DziSeldra and VacancyBT, sector by sector, as Bhutanese job seekers see them.

Travel & fare monitoring

Compare how Drukair and Bhutan Airlines price the same routes and dates for visitors in Bhutan, India, Nepal and further afield.

Ad verification

Confirm that campaigns aimed at Bhutan run on the placements you paid for, on news sites such as Kuensel, BBS and The Bhutanese, and that landing pages display correctly.

Account management & app testing

Run Bhutanese accounts and test apps from mobile IPs on B-Mobile, so sessions look like a local phone rather than a server.

Bhutan proxy pricing

Rotating residential โ€” all Bhutanese targeting included

You can test the network first with a $1.97 trial.

Bhutan proxy FAQ

Straight answers

What is a Bhutanese proxy server (Bhutan proxy server)?

A Bhutan proxy server gives you a Bhutan IP address, so websites treat you as a visitor from Bhutan. A Bhutan residential proxy goes one step further: it routes your traffic through a real Bhutanese household’s connection on a network such as DrukNet or TashiCell, instead of a data centre, so it is far less likely to be blocked.

How do I get a Bhutan IP address?

Start the $1.97 trial, set the country to Bhutan in the dashboard and copy the endpoint into your tool. Your requests then leave from a Bhutan IP address on a home or mobile connection.

Can I target specific dzongkhags, cities or ISPs in Bhutan?

Yes. You can target 11 of the 20 dzongkhags, the city of Thimphu and four home-broadband networks: DrukNet, TashiCell, NANO and Gelephu Digital Network. Residential and mobile proxies can also be targeted by ZIP code, ASN and OS fingerprint, at no extra charge.

Do you offer Bhutanese mobile proxies?

Yes, on B-Mobile, the mobile network of Bhutan Telecom, in Thimphu, Bumthang, Lhuentse and Tsirang. TashiCell is not in our mobile pool at the moment. Mobile IPs are shared by many real subscribers, which makes them among the hardest IPs for websites to block. Mobile starts at $4.50 for 1 GB and goes down to $2.00/GB.

Do you offer static residential or datacenter proxies in Bhutan?

Not at the moment. Static residential and datacenter IPs are not available in Bhutan, so this page covers rotating residential and mobile only. To keep one Bhutanese IP, use a sticky session. Datacenter IPs are available in neighbouring India and China.

How much do Bhutan proxies cost?

Prices are in US dollars and the same worldwide. Rotating residential costs $3.50 for 1 GB, down to $1.50/GB on the 1,000 GB plan; mobile costs $4.50 for 1 GB, down to $2.00/GB. Targeting is free, and a $1.97 trial lets you test first.

Can I keep the same Bhutan IP address?

Yes. Rotating residential and mobile proxies both support sticky sessions, which keep the same Bhutan IP address across requests instead of switching on every request.

Which protocols and tools are supported?

Every Bhutan proxy server endpoint supports HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5. The proxies work with any scraper, rank tracker, headless or anti-detect browser and HTTP library, with no limit on concurrent sessions.

Why not use a free Bhutan proxy?

Free proxies are slow, blocked on most major sites, often not in Bhutan at all and frequently run by operators who log or resell your traffic. For regular work, a paid residential proxy is safer and far more reliable.

Is using a proxy legal?

Proxies are a standard tool for price monitoring, SEO and ad verification. What matters is how you use them: respect each website’s terms of service and follow the rules that apply to you and to any personal data you collect.
