Maltese IPs from real homes and SIM cards
Maltese proxies on real home broadband and on all three mobile networks: Epic, GO and Melita. Point our Malta proxies at Valletta, Sliema, Birkirkara, Victoria in Gozo or any of 41 local councils, with rotating or sticky sessions.
Pay per GB, not per IP. Unused bandwidth rolls over.
Choose your Malta proxy type
Two ways to get a Malta IP address
Rotating residential
A residential Maltese proxy server on real home broadband, from Valletta and Sliema to Mellieħa and Victoria in Gozo. Best for scraping, price monitoring and SERP tracking on Google.com.mt.
- Local council, town, ZIP, ISP and ASN targeting
- New IP per request or sticky sessions
- OS fingerprint targeting (Windows, macOS, Linux, Android)
Rotating mobile
Maltese mobile IPs on Epic, GO and Melita SIM cards, all three national networks. Best for social media and the strictest anti-bot systems.
- Local council, town, ZIP, carrier and ASN targeting
- OS fingerprint targeting
- Rotate on demand or keep a sticky session
Need the same IP for weeks at a time? Static residential proxies are not offered in Malta. The nearest static location is Italy, or use sticky sessions to hold the same Maltese IP on residential or mobile. Datacenter IPs are not available in Malta either.
Malta at a glance
Why a local IP changes what you see
Search results on Google.com.mt, prices at Scan and Klikk, listings on Maltapark and the property portals, and the ads shown to Maltese users all depend on where a request comes from. An Italian or British IP often sees a different storefront or different delivery options.
Malta is also bilingual. Maltese and English are both official, and many local sites serve English first, so without a Maltese IP a site can easily treat you as a UK visitor.
Maltese sites also check what kind of network a visitor is on. On well-protected sites, data centre traffic is flagged as a bot straight away, while a GO, Melita or Epic home connection looks like an ordinary Maltese customer.
| Fact | Figure | Why it matters for proxy work |
|---|---|---|
| Population | 588,254 (end of 2025) | The smallest EU member state by population, so precise council, town and ISP targeting matters more than raw volume. |
| Local government | 68 local councils: 54 on Malta, 14 on Gozo, grouped into six regions | Our region level for Malta is the local council, and 41 of the 68 can be targeted directly. |
| Currency | Euro (EUR) since 1 January 2008 | Prices are in euros, but VAT, delivery fees and promotions are set per country, not per currency. |
| VAT | 18% standard rate; 7% on accommodation | Gross prices shown to Maltese visitors differ from those shown in Italy or elsewhere in the EU. |
| Languages | Maltese and English, both official; Maltese uses the Latin alphabet with ċ, ġ, għ, ħ and ż | English-language pages are easy to mistake for UK content, so Maltese SERPs and ads only show up properly from Maltese IPs. |
| Online life | 98% of households online; 71% of people aged 16–74 bought online in the past year (2025) | Most Maltese adults shop online, so marketplace, price and SERP data is worth tracking closely. |
| Mobile networks | Epic, GO and Melita run Malta’s three mobile networks | All three networks are in our mobile pool, so mobile traffic looks like an ordinary Maltese subscriber. |
| Online business | 302 companies licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority (end of 2025); gaming produced about 6.3% of gross value added | Many online businesses are based in Malta and need to see their own sites and ads as a local visitor does. |
| EU & Schengen | EU member since 1 May 2004; Schengen since 21 December 2007 | GDPR applies, and EU geo-restricted content treats Maltese IPs as fully European. |

What our Malta coverage actually reaches
Read from the live API, not a brochure
Most proxy services treat Malta as a single country checkbox. Here you can run a proxy Malta-wide or pin a session to a local council, town or network, straight from our live API.
41 of Malta’s 68 local councils
Malta: 38 of 54 councils
Gozo: 3 of 14 councils
The region level for Malta is the local council, not one of the six regions and not the island. 27 councils are not separate targets at the moment, among them Rabat, Mdina, Floriana, Bormla and Isla, Marsaxlokk, and 11 of Gozo’s 14, including Xagħra, Nadur and Xewkija. Tarxien has no council target but can be chosen as a town.
All 35 targetable towns and villages
Every town in the API, grouped by area:
Valletta, Sliema and the harbours
Central and northern Malta
The south and Gozo
Victoria, Gozo’s capital, and Għajnsielem, home to the ferry harbour at Mġarr, are useful when a site or delivery service treats Gozo differently from the main island.
Mobile carriers
These are all three of Malta’s national mobile networks, so no major network is missing. Epic is the former Vodafone Malta.
Fixed-line ISPs
The same three companies sell home internet in Malta alongside mobile, and all three are covered on the residential side: GO, Melita and Epic. That gives 3 Maltese networks you can target by name: the whole national market, not a sample.
Why the network mix matters. Anti-bot systems look at which network a request comes from. Spreading sessions across GO, Melita and Epic, on fixed lines and SIM cards, makes your traffic look like ordinary Maltese households and phones.
What teams use Maltese proxies for
Common workloads on our Maltese network
E-commerce price monitoring

Local SEO & SERP tracking
Check Google.com.mt rankings, map packs and ads from Valletta, Sliema or Victoria, in English or in Maltese, instead of a generic EU location.
Property & classifieds data
Collect listings from Frank Salt, RE/MAX Malta, PropertyMarket and Maltapark to follow rents, house prices and used-car values locality by locality.
Ad verification
Confirm that campaigns aimed at Malta render on Times of Malta, Lovin Malta and other local sites, and catch fraud before it burns budget.
Localisation testing
Check that your own site shows Maltese prices, 18% VAT and the right legal notices to visitors in Malta, not a UK or generic EU version.
Social media management
Run Maltese accounts from mobile IPs on Epic, GO or Melita, so logins look like a local phone rather than a server.

Free Malta proxy lists vs paid Maltese proxies
Why free lists rarely work on Maltese sites
Search for a free Malta proxy server or a Malta proxy list and you will find very few entries, mostly open servers abused by thousands of users that go offline within hours and are blacklisted by Maltese sites.

|---|---|---|
| IP source | Open or hijacked servers, mostly data centres | Real Maltese homes and Epic, GO and Melita SIM cards |
| Uptime | Minutes to hours before an IP disappears | Always-on pool, with rotating or sticky sessions |

| Targeting | Country at best | Local council, town, ZIP, ISP, ASN and OS fingerprint |
| Security | Unknown operator can log or alter your traffic | Authenticated access over HTTP(S) or SOCKS5 |

Malta proxy FAQ
Straight answers
What is a Maltese proxy (MT proxy)?
A Maltese proxy server, also called a Malta proxy or MT proxy, gives you a Malta IP address so websites treat you as a local visitor. A Malta residential proxy routes your traffic through a real Maltese household’s connection on GO, Melita or Epic instead of a data centre, so it is far less likely to be blocked.
Can I target specific Maltese towns, councils or ISPs?
Yes. You can target 41 of Malta’s 68 local councils, including Victoria, Għajnsielem and Sannat on Gozo, 35 towns and villages from Valletta and Sliema to Mellieħa and Żurrieq, and all 3 local ISPs: GO, Melita and Epic. Residential and mobile proxies can also be targeted by ZIP code, ASN and OS fingerprint. Rabat, Mdina and most Gozo councils are not separate targets at the moment.
Do you offer Malta mobile proxies?
Yes. Rotating mobile proxies are available on all three Maltese networks: Epic, GO and Melita. Mobile IPs are shared by many real subscribers, which makes them among the hardest IPs for websites to block.
Do you have Malta datacenter or static IPs?
Not at the moment. Datacenter and static residential proxies are not offered with Maltese IPs. For a long-lived Maltese IP, use a sticky session on residential or mobile. If a fixed IP nearby works for you, static residential IPs are sold in Italy.
How much do Malta proxies cost?
Rotating residential starts at $1.50/GB on larger plans and rotating mobile at $2.00/GB. Maltese targeting is included at no extra charge, and you can start with a $1.97 trial.
Can I keep the same Malta proxy IP?
Yes. Rotating residential and mobile proxies both support sticky sessions, which hold the same Malta proxy IP across requests instead of switching on every request.
Which protocols and tools are supported?
HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5. The proxies work with any scraper, rank tracker, headless browser, anti-detect browser or HTTP library, and there is no limit on concurrent sessions.
Is there a free Malta proxy list that works?
Free Malta proxy lists are short, and many entries are not in Malta at all or stop working within hours. The rest are open servers shared with strangers, often blocked, and run by operators who can log your traffic. For real work, a paid residential proxy is far more reliable.
Is using a proxy in Malta legal?
Proxies themselves are legal in Malta and across the EU. What matters is how you use them: respect each site’s terms of service, and follow the GDPR and Malta’s Data Protection Act (Cap. 586) when you collect personal data.
