Choose your Nicaragua proxy type
Two ways to get a Nicaraguan IP
Rotating residential
Our Nicaragua residential proxy pool: home broadband IPs from Chinandega and León in the north-west to Masaya, Carazo and Rivas in the south, on Claro, Tigo, IBW and local cable networks, all through one Nicaragua proxy server endpoint. Best for retail and classifieds scraping, price monitoring and SERP tracking.
- Department, city, ZIP, ISP and ASN targeting
- New IP per request or sticky sessions
- OS fingerprint targeting (Windows, macOS, Linux, Android)
- Pay as you go from 1 GB
Rotating mobile
Nicaraguan mobile proxy IPs on both of the country’s main mobile networks, Claro and Tigo. Best for social media, app testing and the strictest anti-bot systems.
- Department, city, ZIP, carrier and ASN targeting
- OS fingerprint targeting
- Rotate on demand or keep a sticky session
- Pay as you go from 1 GB
Need the same IP for weeks at a time? Static residential proxies are not offered in Nicaragua, and neither are datacenter IPs. Use sticky sessions to hold the same Nicaraguan IP on either proxy type above.
Nicaragua at a glance
Why a local IP changes what you see
Search results, prices at La Colonia and Walmart, listings on Encuentra24 and the ads shown to Nicaraguan users all depend on where a request comes from. A visitor in Managua and one abroad can see different promotions, stock and delivery options on the same page. A Nicaragua IP address shows you what local users see.
Nicaragua is the largest country in Central America by area, with a Pacific coast in the west and a long Caribbean coast in the east. The national statistics institute, INIDE, estimates 6,874,748 residents for 2024. Almost a quarter of them (23.3%) live in Managua department, home to the capital.
It is also a phone-first market. TELCOR, the telecoms regulator, counted 7.74 million mobile lines in June 2026, 91.5% of them prepaid, and 5.32 million mobile internet connections against about 565,000 fixed ones. To a Nicaraguan website, a phone or home connection is an ordinary visitor; data-centre traffic stands out quickly.
| Fact | Figure | Why it matters for proxy work |
|---|---|---|
| Population | 6,874,748 (INIDE estimate for 2024) | A Spanish-speaking market of almost seven million people, where local and foreign visitors can see different versions of the same site. |
| Territory | 15 departments and 2 autonomous regions on the Caribbean coast, 153 municipalities; capital Managua | Our region targeting follows the departments, so you can see a page as a visitor in Managua, León or Chinandega sees it. |
| Where people live | Managua department 23.3% of residents (2024 estimate) | The capital is the largest audience, but León, Chinandega and Masaya are separate audiences, so test more than one location. |
| Currency | Nicaraguan córdoba (NIO), issued by the Banco Central de Nicaragua | Local shops can show different prices, promotions and delivery fees to local visitors. Our own plans are billed in US dollars. |
| Language | Spanish (official) | Most local sites default to Spanish, and search results in Spanish and English differ. |
| Mobile networks | Claro and Tigo; 7,743,412 mobile lines, 112 per 100 inhabitants, 91.5% prepaid (June 2026) | Our mobile pool covers both networks, and home IPs cover their fixed networks too. |
| Internet access | 5,318,082 mobile and 564,839 fixed internet connections (June 2026) | Most Nicaraguans are online mainly by phone, so mobile IPs blend in on apps and social platforms. |

What our Nicaragua proxy coverage actually reaches
Read from the live API, not a brochure
Most providers list Nicaragua as a single country checkbox. Here you can pin a session to a department, city and network, and we say plainly where the pool is thin.
7 of 17 departments and regions
Nicaragua is divided into 15 departments and two autonomous regions on the Caribbean coast. The API returns 7 of these 17, mostly on the Pacific side, from Chinandega and León in the north-west to Rivas in the south, plus Jinotega in the north. Together they are home to about 55% of Nicaraguans, going by INIDE’s 2024 estimate. Boaco, Chontales, Estelí, Granada, Madriz, Matagalpa, Nueva Segovia, Río San Juan and the two Caribbean coast regions are not in the pool at the moment, so they cannot be targeted on their own.
3 targetable cities
Every city in the API is listed here: the capital and two regional centres. Carazo, Jinotega, León and Rivas can be targeted at department level only.
León, Diriamba, Jinotega and Rivas are not separate city targets: use León, Carazo, Jinotega or Rivas department instead. Granada, Estelí and Matagalpa cannot be targeted at the moment.
Nicaraguan mobile proxy carriers
Claro and Tigo run the country’s two main mobile networks, and our mobile pool covers both. Mobile sessions can be narrowed to Managua department and to Managua as a city; elsewhere, target the country.
Fixed-line ISPs
The national networks are covered: Claro and Tigo, which both sell home internet as well as mobile service. So are independent providers such as IBW, Casavisión and Yota. Six local access networks in total.
Why the long tail matters. TELCOR counted 564,839 fixed internet connections in June 2026, up from 399,493 at the end of 2024. IPs drawn from the big operators and smaller local networks look like ordinary Nicaraguan households; a pool on one provider is easy to spot.
What teams use Nicaraguan proxies for
Common workloads on our Nicaragua network
Retail & price monitoring
Track prices, promotions and stock at La Colonia, Walmart Nicaragua and PriceSmart Nicaragua exactly as Nicaraguan shoppers see them.
SERP & local SEO tracking
Check Google rankings, map packs and ads as searchers in Managua, Masaya or Chinandega see them, in Spanish or English, instead of one generic “Nicaragua” location.
Social media & app testing
Run Nicaraguan accounts, follow Spanish-language conversations and test apps from Claro and Tigo mobile IPs, so sessions look like a local phone rather than a server.
Classifieds, property & car data
Collect listings from Encuentra24 to follow rents, house prices and used-car values in Managua, León and the Pacific coast.
Ad verification
Confirm that campaigns aimed at Nicaragua appear on local news and entertainment sites in the right departments, and see the ads on those pages as local readers do.
Travel & checkout testing
Compare hotel, surf and tour prices around San Juan del Sur in Rivas department as Nicaraguan visitors see them, and check that your own site shows local shipping options and payment methods.

Free Nicaragua proxy lists vs paid Nicaraguan proxies
Why free lists rarely work on Nicaraguan sites
Free Nicaragua proxy lists are easy to find, but most entries are open servers already abused by thousands of users. They go offline within hours and are blacklisted by the Nicaraguan shops, banks and apps you want to reach. A cheap residential proxy trial costs less than the time lost on dead IPs.
| Free Nicaragua proxy lists | ProxyEmpire Nicaraguan proxies | |
|---|---|---|
| IP source | Open or hijacked servers, mostly data centres | Real Nicaraguan homes and Claro or Tigo SIM cards |
| Uptime | Minutes to hours before an IP disappears | Always-on pool, with rotating or sticky sessions |
| Blocks | Usually blacklisted on major Nicaraguan sites | Looks like an ordinary local visitor |
| Targeting | Country at best | Department, city, ZIP, ISP, ASN and OS fingerprint |
| Privacy | Unknown operator can log or alter your traffic | Authenticated access over HTTP(S) or SOCKS5 |
| Cost | Free | From $1.50/GB, with a $1.97 trial |

Nicaragua proxy FAQ
Straight answers
What is a Nicaragua proxy server, and what makes it residential?
A Nicaragua proxy server (NI proxy) gives you a Nicaragua IP address, so websites treat you as a visitor from Nicaragua; Spanish-language searches often call it a “proxy Nicaragua”. A Nicaragua residential proxy (proxy residencial in Spanish) goes one step further: it routes your traffic through a real Nicaraguan household’s connection, on a network like Claro, Tigo or a local cable operator, instead of a data centre. That makes it far less likely to be blocked.
Can I target specific Nicaraguan departments, cities or ISPs?
Yes. You can target 7 of the 17 departments and regions, 3 cities (Managua, Masaya and Chinandega) and 6 local ISPs. ISP targeting lets you pin a rotating residential session to one named provider, such as Claro or IBW. Residential and mobile proxies can also be targeted by ZIP code, ASN and OS fingerprint. Granada, Estelí, Matagalpa and the Caribbean coast regions are not in the pool at the moment.
Do you offer Nicaragua mobile proxies?
Yes, on both Claro and Tigo. Mobile IPs are shared by many real subscribers, so they are hard for websites to block. Mobile location targeting covers Managua department and Managua city; for anywhere else, target the country.
How much do Nicaragua proxies cost?
Rotating residential starts at $1.50/GB on larger plans and rotating mobile at $2.00/GB. Pay As You Go lets you buy a single GB of residential traffic for $3.50, with no subscription. Plans are billed in US dollars, Nicaraguan targeting is included at no extra charge, and you can start with a $1.97 trial.
Do you have datacenter or static proxies in Nicaragua?
No. Datacenter and static residential IPs are not offered in Nicaragua. For most Nicaraguan sites, residential and mobile IPs are the better fit anyway, because they look like real local visitors.
Can I keep the same Nicaragua IP address?
Yes. Rotating residential and mobile proxies both support sticky sessions, which keep the same Nicaraguan IP across requests.
Which protocols and tools are supported?
HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5. The proxies work with any scraper, headless browser, anti-detect browser or HTTP library, and there is no limit on concurrent sessions.
Why not use a free Nicaragua proxy?
Free proxies are slow, blocked on most major sites, and often run by operators who log or resell your traffic. For anything work-related, a paid residential proxy is far more reliable.
Is using a proxy in Nicaragua legal?
Proxies are a standard tool for price monitoring, SEO and ad verification. What matters is how you use them: respect websites’ terms of service, and handle any personal data you collect about people in Nicaragua with care and in line with the rules that apply to you.
