Texas IPs, from Houston to El Paso
Texas proxies on real home broadband and mobile connections, from Houston, DallasโFort Worth and San Antonio to Austin, El Paso and the Rio Grande Valley. Target the whole state or one of 563 cities and towns, choose the network, and keep a sticky IP or get a new one on every request.
Pay per GB, not per IP. Texas targeting costs nothing extra.
What you can target with a Texas proxy
Read from our network API, region by region
Texas is several big markets, hundreds of miles apart. A household in Houston does not see the same search results, delivery fees or ads as one in Dallas, Austin or El Paso, and prices for insurance, electricity and rent move with them. So a Texas proxy is more than one checkbox: residential IPs can be pinned to the state as a whole or to one of 563 named cities and towns, from the big metros down to Hill Country and Panhandle towns. For Dallas and its suburbs in detail, see our Dallas proxy page.
Home broadband networks in Texas
Most Texas homes are on AT&T or Spectrum, with Xfinity in the Houston area. In total, 99 home-network brands show up across Texas:
Astound, Optimum and Sparklight run cable networks in parts of the state; Google Fiber, Vexus Fiber and Brightspeed are building fibre, and co-ops such as Guadalupe Valley and Hill Country Telephone serve rural areas. Starlink and Nextlink reach places cable does not. Backbone, business-only and institution networks that appear in the API, such as universities, city networks and transit carriers, are left out of these counts.

Where Texas coverage is thinner. On mobile, Houston, San Antonio, Dallas, Fort Worth, El Paso, Arlington, Garland, Grand Prairie, Mesquite and Brownsville are targetable, but not Austin, Corpus Christi, Plano, Lubbock or Laredo; residential covers all of them. City targets cover a whole city; neighbourhoods such as Montrose in Houston or South Congress in Austin have no separate target, so add ZIP targeting to go narrower. Names such as Arlington, Pasadena, Paris and Richmond exist in other states too, so always set the state to Texas.
Texas or US-wide: which should you pick?
Pin the state or a city only when the answer depends on it
Pin Texas or a Texas city
Rotating residential and rotating mobile.
- Local results: “near me” searches, map packs, delivery radiuses
- Prices, fees and stock that differ between Houston, DFW, Austin and San Antonio
- Checking an ad or offer aimed at Texas or one of its metros
Use US-wide targeting
All four products, including static and datacenter.
- National prices and rankings that are the same across the US
- The biggest possible IP pool for high-volume jobs
- Static residential and datacenter IPs
Static residential and datacenter proxies are sold at country level only, so they cannot be pinned to Texas. A static residential IP comes from a random US city and stays yours for the month. If you need a Texas address that stays the same, use a sticky session on rotating residential or mobile instead.
What teams use Texas proxies for
Jobs where a Texas address changes the answer
Sources: U.S. Census Bureau (2020 Census resident population, state rank and 2010โ2020 change); Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts (counties).
Local SERP & Maps tracking
Check Google rankings and map packs for queries like “plumber near me” or “best tacos” from Houston, Dallas, Austin and San Antonio, instead of one national result.
Electricity plan pricing
Compare retail electricity plans and rates as a Houston or Dallas customer sees them. In the competitive Texas power market, offers change with the ZIP code and the local utility area.
Home & rental listings
Follow asking prices, rents and new listings on Zillow, Redfin and Realtor.com across fast-growing suburbs such as Frisco, Katy, Round Rock and New Braunfels, with sensible request pacing.
Insurance quotes
Compare car and home insurance quotes as a Texas resident sees them, including Gulf Coast ZIP codes around Houston and Corpus Christi where hurricane risk changes the price.
Ad verification
Confirm that campaigns geo-targeted at Texas, or at one metro such as the Rio Grande Valley, actually render there and on the placements you paid for.
Mobile app QA
Test apps and mobile sites on AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon and Boost Mobile connections in Houston, Dallas and San Antonio to see what local users on those networks get.

Texas proxy FAQ
Straight answers
What is a Texas proxy server?
A Texas proxy server routes your requests through an IP address located in Texas, so websites treat you as a visitor in the state. With ProxyEmpire that IP belongs to a real home broadband line or mobile SIM rather than a data centre, which makes it far less likely to be blocked.
How do I get a Texas IP address?
Choose rotating residential or rotating mobile, then set the country to the United States and the state to Texas in the dashboard. Every connection then exits from a Texas IP address. You can start with the $1.97 trial to test it.
Can I target a specific Texas city?
Yes. 563 cities and towns are separate targets on residential, including Houston, San Antonio, Dallas, Austin, Fort Worth, El Paso, Corpus Christi and Lubbock. Neighbourhoods are not, so add ZIP targeting to reach one.
Can I get a static IP in Texas?
Not pinned to Texas. Static residential and datacenter proxies are targeted by country only, so a static US IP can come from any state. To keep one Texas IP for a long session, use a sticky session on rotating residential or mobile.
Can I keep the same Texas IP?
Yes. Sticky sessions keep the same Texas IP for as long as it stays available, instead of switching on every request. When you want a fresh IP, start a new session.
Which mobile carriers can I use in Texas?
The state lists AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon, plus Boost Mobile, across 10 mobile cities. Add a carrier to your targeting, or leave it open and the pool picks one for you.
Is it legal to use a proxy in Texas?
Using a proxy is legal in the United States. What matters is what you do with it: follow each website’s terms, and privacy laws such as the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act if you handle personal data.
