Michigan IPs, from Detroit to Grand Rapids
Michigan proxies on real home broadband and mobile connections across the Great Lakes State. Target Michigan as a whole or one of 359 cities and towns, from Detroit, Grand Rapids and Ann Arbor to Lansing, Flint and Traverse City, choose the network, and keep a sticky IP or get a new one on every request.
Pay per GB, not per IP. Michigan targeting costs nothing extra.
What you can target with a Michigan proxy
Read from our network API, metro by metro
Metro Detroit alone spreads across Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties, and a household in Grand Rapids or Traverse City does not see the same search results, delivery fees or ads as one in Detroit or Ann Arbor. So a Michigan proxy is more than one checkbox. Residential IPs can be pinned to the state as a whole or to one of 359 named cities and towns, from the Detroit suburbs to the Upper Peninsula.
Home broadband networks in Michigan
The state target “Michigan” lists the national cable and fibre networks, plus regional cable companies, electric co-ops, rural telephone companies and fixed-wireless providers. In total, 38 home-network brands show up across Michigan:
Xfinity and AT&T carry most Metro Detroit homes, and Spectrum and WOW add cable competition in parts of the state. Electric co-ops such as Midwest Energy & Communications and Great Lakes Energy have built rural fibre, and satellite fills the gaps up north. Backbone, business-only and university networks that appear in the API, such as Merit Network, 123NET and the University of Michigan, are left out of these counts.

Where Michigan coverage is thinner. Every city in the grid has residential IPs, but mobile IPs can be targeted in 27 Michigan cities, almost all of them in Metro Detroit, plus Grand Rapids, Grand Blanc and Portland; Lansing, Ann Arbor, Flint and Kalamazoo have no mobile target yet. Neighbourhoods such as Corktown or Midtown in Detroit have no separate target either, so add ZIP targeting to go narrower. Many Michigan place names, including Warren, Troy, Jackson, Lansing and Portland, exist in other states too, so always set the state to Michigan.
Michigan or US-wide: which should you pick?
Pin the state or a city only when the answer depends on it
Pin Michigan or a Michigan city
Rotating residential and rotating mobile.
- Local results: “near me” searches and map packs in Detroit, Grand Rapids or Ann Arbor
- Prices, fees and insurance quotes that change by city or ZIP code
- Checking an ad or offer aimed at Michigan or at one Michigan metro
Use US-wide targeting
All four products, including static and datacenter.
- National prices and rankings that are the same across the US
- The biggest possible IP pool for high-volume jobs
- Static residential and datacenter IPs
Static residential and datacenter proxies are sold at country level only, so they cannot be pinned to Michigan. A static residential IP comes from a random US city and stays yours for the month. If you need a Michigan address that stays the same, use a sticky session on rotating residential or mobile instead.

Local SERP & Maps tracking
Check Google rankings and map packs for queries like “dentist near me” from Detroit, Grand Rapids and Ann Arbor separately, instead of one national result.
Car insurance & dealer pricing
Michigan car insurance quotes vary widely by ZIP code, and dealer stock and incentives differ by region. Check quotes and listings as a driver in Detroit, Lansing or Grand Rapids sees them.
Home & rental listings
Follow asking prices, rents and new listings on Zillow, Redfin and Realtor.com across the Detroit suburbs, Ann Arbor and West Michigan, with sensible request pacing.
Grocery & delivery pricing
Compare prices, fees and availability on Meijer, Instacart and DoorDash, which change with the delivery address, from Metro Detroit to Grand Rapids.
Travel & tourism
Check hotel, ferry and short-term rental prices for Mackinac Island, Traverse City and the Upper Peninsula as a Michigan traveller sees them.
Ad verification & app QA
Confirm that campaigns geo-targeted at Michigan or one metro render there, and test apps on AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon connections in Metro Detroit.

Michigan proxy FAQ
Straight answers
What is a Michigan proxy server?
A Michigan proxy server routes your requests through an IP address located in Michigan, so websites treat you as a visitor in the state. With ProxyEmpire that IP belongs to a real home broadband line or mobile SIM rather than a data centre, which makes it far less likely to be blocked.
How do I get a Michigan IP address?
Choose rotating residential or rotating mobile, then set the country to the United States and the state to Michigan in the dashboard. Every connection then exits from a Michigan IP address. You can start with the $1.97 trial to test it.
Can I target a single Michigan city?
Yes. 359 Michigan cities and towns are separate targets, including Detroit, Grand Rapids, Ann Arbor, Lansing, Flint, Kalamazoo and Traverse City. Neighbourhoods are not, so use the city target plus ZIP targeting to reach one.
Can I get a static IP in Michigan?
Not pinned to Michigan. Static residential and datacenter proxies are targeted by country only, so a static US IP can come from any state. To keep one Michigan IP for a long session, use a sticky session on rotating residential or mobile.
Can I keep the same Michigan IP?
Yes. Sticky sessions keep the same Michigan IP for as long as it stays available, instead of switching on every request. When you want a fresh IP, start a new session.
Which mobile carriers can I use in Michigan?
The Michigan mobile pool lists AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon in 27 cities. Add a carrier to your targeting, or leave it open and the pool picks one for you.
Is it legal to use a proxy in Michigan?
Using a proxy is legal in the United States. What matters is what you do with it: follow each website’s terms, and federal and state privacy laws if you handle personal data.
