Australian IPs from real homes and SIM cards

Australian proxies on real home connections and the Telstra, Optus and Vodafone mobile networks. Our Australia proxies reach Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and 89 cities across every state and territory, with rotating or sticky sessions, or a fixed static IP.

Pay per GB, not per IP. Unused bandwidth rolls over.

  • HTTP(S) & SOCKS5
  • No concurrent session limit
  • Sticky sessions or new IP per request
  • Bandwidth rolls over
  • 24/7 support from real people

Australia at a glance

Why a local IP changes what you see

Google.com.au results, prices on JB Hi-Fi, Woolworths and Coles, listings on realestate.com.au and the ads served to Australian users all depend on where the request comes from. A US or Singapore IP often gets a different page, the wrong currency or no page at all.

Australian sites also check the network. Data centre traffic is flagged as a bot straight away on well-protected sites, while a Telstra or Aussie Broadband home connection looks like an ordinary Australian customer, because it is one.

Fact Figure Why it matters for proxy work
Population 27.9 million (31 March 2026) Most people live in the state and territory capitals, so city targeting reaches the bulk of the market.
States and territories Six states and two mainland territories All eight are targetable, and prices, delivery and local results often differ between them.
Time zones Three standard zones: AWST, ACST and AEST Perth is two to three hours behind Sydney depending on daylight saving, so schedule checks by local time.
Currency Australian dollar (AUD), decimal since 14 February 1966 Retail prices are in AUD with GST included, and only an Australian IP shows them reliably.
Online retail 12.7% of retail turnover in June 2025 A large, growing online market with heavy promotional cycles, which is what price monitoring is for.
Home broadband More than 8.6 million premises on the nbn network (31 December 2025) Most homes connect through nbn retailers, so a pool spread across many retailers looks like real households.
Mobile networks Telstra, Optus, TPG Telecom (Vodafone) All three national networks are covered, so mobile traffic looks like an ordinary local subscriber.

What our Australian proxy coverage actually reaches

Read from the live API, not a brochure

Most providers list Australia as a single checkbox. Here you can run a proxy Australia-wide or pin a session to the state, city and network your target cares about, using today’s targeting from the same API our dashboard uses.

  • Canberra
  • Darwin

Growth suburbs such as Clyde North, Mickleham and Leppington are targetable on their own, useful for property and retail checks where a fringe estate sees different listings and delivery options from the inner city.

Mobile carriers

  • Telstra
  • Optus
  • Vodafone (TPG Telecom)

Australia has three national mobile networks and all three are covered, so no major network is missing. Budget brands such as Boost Mobile (Telstra), amaysim (Optus) and Felix (TPG) run on these same networks rather than their own.

Fixed-line ISPs

The big national retailers are covered: Telstra, Optus, TPG and its iiNet brand, Vodafone, Aussie Broadband, Superloop, Exetel, Belong and Vocus. So are smaller nbn retailers such as Spintel, Leaptel, Flip, Occom, Mate, Southern Phone and Origin. Regional and specialist networks fill in the rest: Launtel in Tasmania, Pentanet in Perth, the Neighbourhood Cable network in Geelong, Ballarat and Mildura, apartment and estate fibre from DGtek, OptiComm and Lightning Broadband, and Starlink and IPSTAR satellite.

Why the long tail matters. Anti-bot systems look at which network a request comes from, and a pool built on Telstra and Optus alone is easy to rate-limit. Mixing in Aussie Broadband lines, regional networks in Tasmania and Perth and a rural satellite link makes traffic look like ordinary households.

Free Australia proxy sites vs paid Australian proxies

Why free lists rarely work on Australian sites

A free Australia proxy site or list is easy to find, but most entries are open servers already abused by thousands of users, offline within hours and blacklisted by the Australian sites you want to reach.

Free Australia proxy lists ProxyEmpire Australian proxies
IP source Open or hijacked servers, mostly data centres Real Australian homes and Telstra, Optus and Vodafone SIM cards
Uptime Minutes to hours before an IP disappears Always-on pool, with rotating, sticky or static IPs

Targeting Country at best State, city, postcode, ISP, ASN and OS fingerprint

Australia proxy FAQ

Straight answers

What is an Australian proxy server (AU proxy)?

An Australian proxy server, or AU proxy, gives you an Australian IP address so websites treat you as a local visitor. A residential Australia proxy routes traffic through a real household’s connection on a network like Telstra or Aussie Broadband, not a data centre.

Can I target specific Australian cities or ISPs?

Yes. You can target all 8 states and territories, 89 cities and suburbs, and more than 30 ISPs and networks, from Telstra and TPG to regional fibre and satellite. Residential and mobile also support postcode, ASN and OS fingerprint targeting. Datacenter and static are country-level.

Do you offer Australian mobile proxies?

Yes, on all three national networks: Telstra, Optus and Vodafone. An Australia mobile proxy uses IPs shared by many real subscribers, which makes it among the hardest traffic for websites to block.

Do you have Australian datacenter proxies?

Yes. Rotating datacenter proxies with Australian IPs start at $25 for 40 GB, down to $0.35/GB on larger plans. They are country-level and suit high-volume work on lightly protected sites.

Do you sell static residential IPs in Australia?

Yes. Australia is one of the countries where static residential proxies are sold. You get a dedicated Australian residential IP that stays the same all month, from $3.50 for one IP down to $2.00 per IP at 2,000 IPs, traffic included under a 100 GB fair-use cap.

How much do Australia proxies cost?

Rotating residential starts at $1.50/GB on larger plans, rotating mobile at $2.00/GB and rotating datacenter at $0.35/GB. Static residential runs $3.50 for one IP down to $2.00 per IP a month. Australian targeting is free, and you can start with a $1.97 trial.

Can I keep the same Australian IP?

Yes. Rotating residential, mobile and datacenter all support sticky sessions, which hold the same Australian IP across requests. For a permanently fixed IP, use static residential.

Which protocols and tools are supported?

HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5. The proxies work with any scraper, headless browser, anti-detect browser or HTTP library, and there is no limit on concurrent sessions.

Is a free Australia proxy site good enough?

For a one-off look at a page, sometimes. For regular work, no: free proxy sites are slow, shared, often blocked, and you cannot choose the city or network. A paid proxy in Australia gives you clean, authenticated IPs.

Is using a proxy legal in Australia?

Proxies themselves are legal in Australia. What matters is how you use them: respect each site’s terms of service, and follow the Privacy Act 1988 and its Australian Privacy Principles when collecting personal information.
