Greek IPs from real homes and SIM cards
Greek proxies on real home connections and the Cosmote, Vodafone and Nova mobile networks. Target Athens, Thessaloniki, Patras, Heraklion or any of 85 cities, with rotating or sticky sessions.
Pay per GB, not per IP. Unused bandwidth rolls over.

Three ways to get a Greek IP
Rotating residential
Home broadband IPs across Greece, from Attica to the islands. Best for scraping, price monitoring and SERP tracking.
- Region, city, ZIP, ISP and ASN targeting
- New IP per request or sticky sessions
- OS fingerprint targeting (Windows, macOS, Linux, Android)
Rotating mobile
Mobile IPs on Cosmote, Vodafone and Nova. Best for social media and the strictest anti-bot systems.
- Region, city, ZIP, carrier and ASN targeting
- OS fingerprint targeting
- Rotate on demand or keep a sticky session
Rotating datacenter
Fast, low-cost Greek datacenter IPs. Best for high-volume jobs on sites with light bot protection.
- Greece country-level targeting
- New IP per request or sticky sessions
- Lowest cost per GB for bulk traffic
- Plans from 40 GB for $25
Need the same IP for weeks at a time? Static residential proxies are not offered in Greece. The nearest static locations are Italy and Romania, or use sticky sessions to hold the same Greek IP on any of the three proxy types above.
Greece at a glance
Why a local IP changes what you see
Greece is a mid-sized market with a very local web. Search results on Google.gr, prices on Skroutz and Public, and the ads served to Greek users all depend on where the request comes from. An Italian or German IP gets a different page, often in a different language and with different delivery options.
Greek sites also check what kind of network a visitor is on. On well-protected sites, traffic from a data centre gets flagged as a bot straight away. Traffic from a Cosmote or Vodafone home connection looks like an ordinary Greek customer, because that is what it is. And because tourism is such a big part of the economy, the same hotel, ferry or car-hire page can look very different to a visitor on Mykonos, in Athens or abroad.
| Fact | Figure | Why it matters for proxy work |
|---|---|---|
| Population | 10.37 million (1 January 2025) | A mid-sized pool concentrated in Attica and Thessaloniki, so city and region targeting decides which Greece you see. |
| Currency | Euro (since 1 January 2001) | Prices compare directly with other euro-area shops, which makes cross-border price benchmarking straightforward. |
| Language & script | Greek, Greek alphabet | Local SERPs, reviews and social feeds only show up properly for Greek IPs and locale settings. |
| Mobile networks | Cosmote, Vodafone, Nova | All three national carriers are on our network, so mobile traffic looks like an ordinary local customer. |
| EU member | Since 1981 | GDPR applies, and EU geo-restricted content treats Greek IPs as fully European. |
| Tourism | About 38 million inbound travellers (2025) | Travel, hotel and ferry prices shift by season and by visitor location, so resort-level IPs are worth having. |

What our Greece coverage actually reaches
Read from the live API, not a brochure
Most providers list Greece as a single country checkbox. Here you can pin a session to the region, city and network your target cares about. This is the targeting available on the ProxyEmpire network today, pulled from the same API our dashboard uses.
All 13 regions
85 targetable cities and towns
Coverage goes well beyond Athens and Thessaloniki. Athens suburbs, regional capitals and the main holiday islands can each be targeted on their own:
Island towns like Mykonos, Fira on Santorini, Rhodes, Corfu and Chania on Crete can each be targeted separately. That matters for travel and hotel price checks, where a visitor on an island often sees different offers from someone in Athens.
Mobile carriers
Fixed-line ISPs
All three national operators are covered โ Cosmote (the OTE group, including OTEnet), Vodafone and Nova โ together with smaller fibre, wireless and cable networks such as Inalan, Lancom and Hellenic Cable Networks, plus Starlink satellite connections.
Why the network mix matters. Anti-bot systems look at which network a request comes from. Greek broadband is dominated by a few big operators, so a realistic pool has to match that mix: mostly Cosmote, Vodafone and Nova households, with the smaller regional networks alongside. That is what makes your traffic look like ordinary Greek homes rather than a server farm.
What teams use Greek proxies for
Common workloads on our Greek network
E-commerce price monitoring
Track prices, stock and shipping costs on Skroutz, Public and e-shop.gr exactly as Greek shoppers see them, including seller offers that only show to local visitors.
Local SEO & SERP tracking
Check Google.gr rankings, map packs and ads from Athens, Thessaloniki or Heraklion instead of a generic EU location.
Travel & hospitality pricing
Compare hotel, villa and car-hire prices shown to visitors in Mykonos, Fira on Santorini, Rhodes or Corfu against those shown in Athens or abroad.
Property & classifieds data
Collect listings from Spitogatos, xe.gr and Car.gr to follow rents, house prices and used-car values region by region, without CAPTCHAs or geo-blocks.
Ad verification
Confirm that campaigns targeted at Greece actually render, in Greek, on the placements you paid for, and catch fraudulent placements before they burn budget.
Social media management
Run Greek accounts from mobile IPs on Cosmote, Vodafone or Nova, so logins look like a local phone rather than a server.

Free Greece proxy lists vs paid Greek proxies
Why free lists rarely work on Greek sites
Free Greece proxy lists are easy to find, but most entries are open servers that have been scanned and abused by thousands of other users. They go offline within hours and are already blacklisted by the Greek sites you want to reach.
| Free Greece proxy lists | ProxyEmpire Greek proxies | |
|---|---|---|
| IP source | Open or hijacked servers, mostly data centres | Real Greek homes and Cosmote, Vodafone and Nova SIM cards |
| Uptime | Minutes to hours before an IP disappears | Always-on pool, with rotating or sticky sessions |
| Blocks | Usually blacklisted on major Greek sites | Looks like an ordinary local visitor |
| Targeting | Country at best | Region, city, ZIP, ISP, ASN and OS fingerprint |
| Security | Unknown operator can log or alter your traffic | Authenticated access over HTTP(S) or SOCKS5 |
| Cost | Free | From $1.50/GB, with a $1.97 trial |

Greece proxy FAQ
Straight answers
What is a Greek proxy (GR proxy)?
A Greek proxy, or GR proxy, gives you a Greek IP address so websites treat you as a local visitor. A Greece residential proxy goes one step further: it routes your traffic through a real Greek household’s internet connection, so websites see a genuine local visitor on a network like Cosmote or Vodafone instead of a data centre. That makes it far less likely to be blocked or shown non-local content.
Can I target specific Greek cities, islands or ISPs?
Yes. You can target all 13 Greek regions, 85 cities and towns โ including island towns such as Mykonos, Fira, Rhodes and Corfu โ and local ISPs including Cosmote, Vodafone and Nova as well as smaller fibre and cable networks. Residential and mobile proxies can also be targeted by ZIP code, ASN and OS fingerprint. Datacenter proxies are targeted at country level.
Do you offer Greek mobile proxies?
Yes. Rotating mobile proxies are available on all three Greek carriers: Cosmote, Vodafone and Nova. Mobile IPs are shared by many real subscribers, which makes them among the hardest IPs for websites to block.
How much do Greece proxies cost?
Rotating residential starts at $1.50/GB on larger plans, rotating mobile at $2.00/GB and rotating datacenter at $0.35/GB. Greek targeting is included at no extra charge, and you can start with a $1.97 trial.
Do you have Greek datacenter proxies?
Yes. Rotating datacenter proxies with Greek IPs start at $25 for 40 GB and go down to $0.35/GB on larger plans. They are targeted at country level and suit high-volume work on sites with light bot protection. For well-protected sites, use residential or mobile IPs instead.
Can I keep the same Greek IP?
Yes. Rotating residential, mobile and datacenter proxies all support sticky sessions, which keep the same Greek IP across requests instead of switching to a new IP on every request. Static residential IPs are not offered in Greece; if you need a permanently fixed IP nearby, our nearest static locations are Italy and Romania.
Which protocols and tools are supported?
HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5. The proxies work with any scraper, headless browser, anti-detect browser or HTTP library, and there is no limit on concurrent sessions.
Why not use a free Greece proxy?
Free proxies are slow, blocked on most major sites, and often run by operators who log or resell your traffic. If you are not paying for the product, your data usually is the product. For anything work-related, a paid residential proxy is safer and far more reliable.
Is using a proxy legal in Greece?
Proxies themselves are legal in Greece and across the EU. What matters is how you use them: respect websites’ terms of service and GDPR when collecting personal data.
