Real Rwandan IPs in Kigali, on MTN and Airtel
Rwandan proxies on home connections in Kigali and two more provinces, and on the MTN Rwanda and Airtel Rwanda mobile networks. Our Rwanda proxies give you a genuine Rwanda IP address, so local sites, search results and apps load exactly as they do for a visitor in Rwanda, with rotating or sticky sessions.
Priced per GB, not per IP: residential from $1.50/GB, mobile from $2.00/GB. Unused bandwidth rolls over.
Choose your Rwanda proxy type
Two ways to get a Rwanda IP address
Rotating residential
Residential IPs in the City of Kigali, Northern Province and Southern Province, all through a single Rwanda proxy server endpoint. Need a Kigali proxy on a specific network? Pick one of five home internet providers. Best for price monitoring, SERP tracking and data collection from Rwandan sites.
- Region, city, ZIP, ISP and ASN targeting
- New IP per request or sticky sessions
- OS fingerprint targeting (Windows, macOS, Linux, Android)
- Pay as you go from 1 GB
Rotating mobile
Rwanda mobile proxy IPs on both of the country’s networks, MTN Rwanda and Airtel Rwanda, in Kigali, plus Airtel in Southern Province. Best for social media, app testing and strict anti-bot systems.
- Region, city, ZIP, carrier and ASN targeting
- OS fingerprint targeting
- Rotate on demand or keep a sticky session
Need the same IP for weeks at a time? Static residential proxies are not offered in Rwanda; use a sticky session to hold the same Rwandan IP on residential or mobile. Datacenter IPs are not available in Rwanda at the moment.
Rwanda at a glance
Why a local IP changes what you see
Search results, data bundles, delivery fees and the ads served on Rwandan websites all depend on where a request comes from. A visitor in Kigali sees local pages, local offers and prices in Rwandan francs; a request from a foreign server often gets a generic version, or is blocked.
Rwanda is also a mobile-first internet market. The regulator RURA counted more than 10.7 million internet subscriptions in March 2026, of which fewer than 78,000 were fixed broadband lines. A request from a Rwandan home or mobile connection looks like an ordinary local customer, while data-centre traffic is far more likely to be flagged.
| Fact | Figure | Why it matters for proxy work |
|---|---|---|
| Population | 13,246,394 at the 2022 census (August 2022) | Most people go online by phone rather than on a home line, so mobile IPs match how Rwanda browses. |
| Provinces | Five: the City of Kigali and the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western provinces | We cover three of them; Eastern and Western Province are not in our pool yet. |
| Main city | Kigali, the capital and largest city | The only city you can pin by name, on both residential and mobile proxies. |
| Currency | Rwandan franc (FRW, RWF), issued by the National Bank of Rwanda | Local shops and operators quote prices in francs, so collect them from the local version of a site. |
| Languages | Kinyarwanda, English, French and Swahili (official) | Results and ads can differ by language, so check Kinyarwanda and English queries as a local user sees them. |
| Mobile networks | Two: MTN Rwanda (9,283,818 subscriptions, 66.3%) and Airtel Rwanda (4,717,262, 33.7%), 31 March 2026 | Both are in our mobile pool, so no Rwandan mobile network is left out. |
| Internet subscriptions | 10,738,906 in total, including 77,784 fixed broadband (March 2026) | Almost every subscription is on a phone, which makes Rwanda mobile proxy IPs the most natural-looking traffic. |
| Home broadband | GVA Rwanda (CANALBOX) 53.1%, MTN Rwanda 17.8%, Liquid 13.6% of fixed broadband lines | These three and Starlink are in our residential pool: nearly 90% of fixed broadband subscriptions. |

What our Rwanda proxy coverage actually reaches
Read from the live API, not a brochure
Whether you need one Rwandan proxy server for a quick check or a session pinned to a province, city, ISP or carrier, here is exactly what you can target today, taken from the same API our dashboard uses.
3 of Rwanda’s 5 provinces
Residential proxies can be pinned to all three. Mobile proxies can be pinned to the City of Kigali or Southern Province. Eastern Province and Western Province are not in our pool today, and we do not list them as covered. A country-level session draws on the whole Rwandan pool.
Kigali proxy IPs: 1 targetable city
Kigali is the one city the API returns for Rwanda, on both residential and mobile proxies. In Northern and Southern Province there is no city filter yet, so target the province instead.
Rwanda mobile proxy carriers
Rwanda has two mobile networks, MTN Rwanda and Airtel Rwanda, and both are in our mobile pool, so no network is missing. In Kigali you can choose either carrier by name; in Southern Province, Airtel Rwanda is the carrier on offer.
Home internet providers
In Kigali you can filter residential IPs by five providers: CANALBOX (run by GVA Rwanda, the largest fixed broadband provider), MTN Rwanda, Liquid, Starlink (satellite) and KT Rwanda Networks (the 4G wholesale network). Residential IPs in Northern and Southern Province are not split by provider yet, so use the province filter there. ZIP, ASN and OS fingerprint targeting apply everywhere.
Honest counts, real addresses. One city and three provinces will not suit a job that needs IPs spread across all of Rwanda. They do cover Kigali on five home networks and both mobile carriers, plus home connections in Northern and Southern Province.
What teams use Rwandan proxies for
Common workloads on our Rwandan network
Local SEO & SERP tracking
Check Google rankings, local results and ads in English, Kinyarwanda and French as a searcher in Kigali sees them, instead of one generic “Rwanda” location.
Telecom & data bundles
Track data bundles, prepaid packages and promotions on the MTN Rwanda and Airtel Rwanda websites, and home internet plans from CANALBOX, exactly as a customer in Rwanda sees them.
Ad verification
Confirm that campaigns aimed at Rwanda appear in the right placements on English and Kinyarwanda sites, and that landing pages load correctly on a local connection.
Delivery & e-commerce pricing
Collect menus, delivery fees and prices from Kigali delivery apps such as VubaVuba and from Rwandan online shops, in francs and from the city the buyer is in.
Mobile app testing
Test sign-up, top-up and in-app flows the way MTN and Airtel subscribers experience them, from mobile IPs on the same networks in Kigali.
Jobs & listings data
Gather vacancies and listings from Rwandan job boards such as Job in Rwanda, exactly as a local job seeker sees them.

Proxies for Rwanda, with all targeting included
You can buy Rwanda proxies without a long commitment: try the network for $1.97, pay as you go from a single GB at $3.50, or take a larger plan for as little as $1.50/GB. Rwanda residential proxies cost the same as in every other country, billed in US dollars per GB of traffic rather than per IP. Mobile starts at $4.50 for 1 GB and goes down to $2.00/GB. Region, city, ZIP, ISP, carrier, ASN and OS fingerprint targeting cost nothing extra, and unused bandwidth rolls over.

Free Rwanda proxy lists vs paid Rwandan proxies
Why free lists rarely work on Rwandan sites
Search for a free Rwanda proxy and you will find a handful of entries at best. Most are open servers already used by thousands of people; they go offline within hours, are often not in Rwanda at all and are blocked by the sites and apps you want to reach. A $1.97 trial of real Rwandan IPs costs less than the time lost on dead proxies.
| Free Rwanda proxy lists | ProxyEmpire Rwandan proxies | |
|---|---|---|
| IP source | Open or hijacked servers, mostly data centres | Real Rwandan home and mobile connections |
| Uptime | Minutes to hours before an IP disappears | Always-on pool, with rotating or sticky sessions |
| Blocks | Usually blacklisted on major sites | Looks like an ordinary local visitor |
| Targeting | Country at best | Region, city, ZIP, ISP, carrier, ASN and OS fingerprint |
| Security | Unknown operator can log or alter your traffic | Authenticated access over HTTP(S) or SOCKS5 |
| Cost | Free | From $1.50/GB, with a $1.97 trial |

Rwanda proxy FAQ
Straight answers
What is a Rwandan proxy server (RW proxy)?
A Rwandan proxy, or Rwanda proxy server, gives you a Rwanda IP address, so websites treat you as a visitor from Rwanda. A residential Rwandan proxy goes one step further: it routes your traffic through a real home connection in Rwanda instead of a data centre, which makes it far less likely to be blocked.
Can I get a Kigali proxy, or target other regions and ISPs?
Yes. A Kigali proxy is available on residential and mobile, and in Kigali you can also pick one of five home ISPs, such as CANALBOX, MTN Rwanda or Liquid. Residential proxies also cover Northern and Southern Province by region. ZIP, ASN and OS fingerprint targeting come at no extra charge.
Do you offer Rwanda mobile proxies?
Yes, on both Rwandan networks. MTN Rwanda and Airtel Rwanda can be selected by name in Kigali, and Airtel Rwanda also in Southern Province. Mobile IPs are shared by many real subscribers, which makes them among the hardest IPs for websites to block.
Do you have Rwandan datacenter or static IPs?
Not at the moment. Datacenter and static residential proxies are not offered with Rwandan IPs. For a long-lived Rwanda IP address, use a sticky session on residential or mobile.
How much do Rwanda proxies cost?
Rotating residential costs $3.50 for 1 GB on Pay As You Go and as little as $1.50/GB on larger plans; rotating mobile costs $4.50 for 1 GB, down to $2.00/GB. Plans are billed in US dollars, per GB rather than per IP, and Rwandan targeting is included. You can start with a $1.97 trial.
Can I keep the same Rwanda IP address?
Yes. Rotating residential and mobile proxies both support sticky sessions, which hold the same Rwandan IP across requests instead of switching on every request.
Do the proxies work on Kinyarwanda, English and French sites?
Yes. A Rwandan IP gets you the version of a site that a visitor in Kigali sees, whatever the language, over HTTP, HTTPS or SOCKS5.
Is there a free Rwanda proxy that works?
For a one-off look at a page, a free proxy sometimes works. For regular work, no: free lists for Rwanda are short, the entries are slow, often flagged and may not be in Rwanda at all, and their operators may log or resell your traffic. There is no way to choose the city or network.
Is using a proxy in Rwanda legal?
Proxies are a standard tool for price monitoring, SEO and ad verification. What matters is how you use them: respect websites’ terms of service and the data-protection rules that apply whenever you collect personal data.
Can I get help setting up Rwandan proxies?
Yes. Our support team is available 24/7, and you talk to real people, not a bot, whether you need help with targeting, sticky sessions or plugging the endpoint into your tool.
