Real Lesotho IPs on Vodacom, Econet and Comnet
Lesotho proxies on both mobile networks, Vodacom and Econet, and on home connections in the Maseru, Leribe and Butha-Buthe districts. Our Basotho proxies give you a genuine Lesotho IP address in seven of the ten districts, with rotating or sticky sessions over HTTP(S) or SOCKS5.
Priced per GB, not per IP: residential from $1.50/GB, mobile from $2.00/GB. Unused bandwidth rolls over.
Choose your Lesotho proxy type
Two ways to get a Lesotho IP address
Rotating residential
A Lesotho proxy server on real home connections from Econet Telecom Lesotho and Comnet, in the Maseru, Leribe and Butha-Buthe districts. Best for price monitoring, SERP tracking and data collection from Lesotho sites.
- District, city (Maseru), ISP and ASN targeting
- New IP per request or sticky sessions
- OS fingerprint targeting (Windows, macOS, Linux, Android)
- Pay as you go from 1 GB
Rotating mobile
Lesotho mobile proxy IPs on Vodacom Lesotho and Econet Telecom Lesotho, the country’s two mobile networks, in six districts. Best for social media, app testing and strict anti-bot systems.
- District, city, ZIP, carrier and ASN targeting
- OS fingerprint targeting
- Rotate on demand or keep a sticky session
Need the same IP for weeks at a time? Static residential proxies are not offered in Lesotho; use a sticky session to hold the same Lesotho IP on residential or mobile. Datacenter IPs are not available in Lesotho at the moment.
Lesotho at a glance
Why a local IP changes what you see
Lesotho is entirely surrounded by South Africa, and brands people use there, from Vodacom to Shoprite, run separate Lesotho websites on .co.ls addresses with their own offers; Econet quotes its data bundles in maloti. A visitor in Maseru sees that local version; a request from a South African connection often lands on the South African site, and one from a data centre in Europe may get an international page or a block.
| Fact | Figure | Why it matters for proxy work |
|---|---|---|
| Population | 2,007,201 at the 2016 census; results of the 2026 census are not yet published | A small market, so an honest pool of genuine local IPs matters more than raw volume. |
| Districts | Ten; Maseru (519,186 people in 2016) and Leribe (337,521) are the most populous | Our region level is the district: seven of the ten can be selected, including both of the largest. |
| Capital | Maseru | Maseru is the one Lesotho city you can select in our network. |
| Currency | Loti (plural maloti, LSL), pegged to the South African rand within the Common Monetary Area | Local telecom offers are priced in maloti (M), so collect prices from the Lesotho version of a site. |
| Official languages | Sesotho, English, isiXhosa, isiPhuthi and sign language | Lesotho sites such as Econet’s and Shoprite’s are in English, so the IP address, not the language, decides which regional version you get. |
| Mobile networks | Two: Vodacom Lesotho and Econet Telecom Lesotho | Both are in our mobile pool. |
| Country domain | .ls, including .co.ls for businesses | Lesotho sites such as vodacom.co.ls and shoprite.co.ls serve their local audience from .ls addresses. |

What our Lesotho proxy coverage actually reaches
Read from the live API, not a brochure
Whether you run one proxy Lesotho-wide or pin a session to a district, city or network, here is exactly what you can target today, taken from the same API our dashboard uses. Mobile and residential reach different districts, so we list them separately.
7 of Lesotho’s 10 districts: 6 on mobile, 3 on residential
Residential IPs can be targeted in three districts:
Mobile IPs can be targeted in six districts:
Together that is seven of the ten districts, home to more than four in five of Lesotho’s people at the 2016 census. The six mobile districts held about three in four, and the three residential districts just under half. Butha-Buthe is available on residential only. Mafeteng, Qacha’s Nek and Mokhotlong cannot be selected as a region on either product today, and we do not list them as covered. A country-level session draws on the whole Lesotho pool.
One targetable city: Maseru
Maseru, the capital, is the only city the API returns for Lesotho, on residential and on mobile. Leribe, Butha-Buthe and the other covered districts have no city of their own in the API, so sessions there are set at district level; other towns cannot be targeted as cities today.
Lesotho mobile proxy carriers
Lesotho has two mobile networks, Vodacom Lesotho and Econet Telecom Lesotho, and both are in our mobile pool. Pick the carrier your audience uses, or let sessions rotate across both. In Maseru you can choose either network. Econet can also be targeted in Berea, Leribe and Quthing, and Vodacom in Mohale’s Hoek and Thaba-Tseka.
Lesotho ISPs in the residential pool
Residential IPs come from two networks: Econet Telecom Lesotho, which sells fixed internet and fibre as well as mobile service, and Comnet, a Maseru ICT company and internet service provider in business since 1991. Both appear on the Lesotho Communications Authority’s list of licensed network providers, and both can be targeted in Maseru. Vodacom Lesotho is in the mobile pool only.
Honest counts, real addresses. One city and two home networks will not suit a job that needs residential IPs spread across every town. They do cover the capital, and mobile IPs on both networks reach six districts where about three in four people in Lesotho live.
What teams use Basotho proxies for
Common workloads on our Lesotho network
Local SEO & SERP tracking
Check Google rankings, local results and ads in English and Sesotho as a searcher in Maseru sees them, instead of the South African result set.
Telecom & data bundles
Track data bundles, promotions and prices on the Vodacom Lesotho and Econet Telecom Lesotho websites exactly as a customer in Lesotho sees them, in maloti.
Retail & grocery prices
Collect specials and prices from Lesotho retail sites such as Shoprite’s Lesotho site, and compare them with what the same chain shows shoppers across the border.
Travel & mountain resorts
Compare lodge, ski-pass and activity prices at places such as Afriski Mountain Resort as a visitor browsing from Lesotho sees them, against the rates shown abroad.
Jobs & labour-market data
Follow vacancies, job titles and employers on Lesotho job boards such as Jobs in Lesotho, as local job seekers see them.
Ad verification & apps
Confirm that campaigns aimed at Lesotho appear in the right placements on local news sites, and test apps and social accounts from Vodacom and Econet mobile IPs.

Free Lesotho proxy lists vs paid Basotho proxies
Why free lists rarely work on Lesotho sites
Search for a free Lesotho proxy and you will find a handful of entries at best. Most are open servers already used by thousands of people; they go offline within hours, are often in South Africa or further away rather than in Lesotho, and are blocked by the sites and apps you want to reach.
| Free Lesotho proxy lists | ProxyEmpire Basotho proxies | |
|---|---|---|
| IP source | Open or hijacked servers, mostly data centres | Real Lesotho homes and Vodacom and Econet SIM cards |
| Uptime | Minutes to hours before an IP disappears | Always-on pool, with rotating or sticky sessions |
| Blocks | Usually blacklisted on major sites | Looks like an ordinary local visitor |
| Targeting | Country at best, and often wrong | District, city, ZIP, ISP, carrier, ASN and OS fingerprint |
| Security | Unknown operator can log or alter your traffic | Authenticated access over HTTP(S) or SOCKS5 |
| Cost | Free | From $1.50/GB, with a $1.97 trial |

Lesotho proxy FAQ
Straight answers
What is a Basotho proxy server (LS proxy)?
A Basotho proxy server, or Lesotho proxy server, gives you a Lesotho IP address, so websites treat you as a visitor from Lesotho. A residential or mobile proxy goes one step further: it routes your traffic through a real home or mobile connection on Vodacom, Econet or Comnet instead of a data centre, which makes it far less likely to be blocked.
How do I get a Lesotho IP address?
Start the $1.97 trial, set the country to Lesotho (LS) in the dashboard and connect your tool to the endpoint it generates. Every request then leaves from a Lesotho residential or mobile IP. You can narrow it down to a district, to Maseru, or to a specific network.
Can I target districts, Maseru or ISPs in Lesotho?
Yes. Mobile IPs can be targeted in six districts and residential IPs in three, and both work in the city of Maseru. You can also choose Econet Telecom Lesotho or Comnet on residential, Vodacom or Econet on mobile, and target by ZIP code, ASN and OS fingerprint, at no extra charge. Mafeteng, Qacha’s Nek and Mokhotlong are not available as regions today.
Do you offer Lesotho mobile proxies?
Yes, on both of the country’s mobile networks: Vodacom Lesotho and Econet Telecom Lesotho. Mobile IPs are shared by many real subscribers, which makes them among the hardest IPs for websites to block, and they cover more of the country than residential IPs do.
Do you have datacenter or static IPs in Lesotho?
Not at the moment. Datacenter and static residential proxies are not offered with Lesotho IPs. For a long-lived Lesotho IP address, use a sticky session on residential or mobile.
Is a Lesotho IP different from a South African one?
Yes. Lesotho has its own IP addresses and networks, and brands such as Vodacom and Shoprite run separate Lesotho sites. With a Lesotho IP you see those local pages and offers; for South African results, use our South Africa proxies instead.
How much do Lesotho proxies cost?
Rotating residential costs $3.50 for 1 GB on Pay As You Go and as little as $1.50/GB on larger plans; rotating mobile costs $4.50 for 1 GB, down to $2.00/GB. Plans are billed in US dollars, per GB rather than per IP, and Lesotho targeting is included. You can start with a $1.97 trial.
Can I keep the same Lesotho IP address?
Yes. Rotating residential and mobile proxies both support sticky sessions, which hold the same Lesotho IP across requests instead of switching on every request.
Is there a free Lesotho proxy that works?
For a one-off look at a page, sometimes. For regular work, no: free lists for Lesotho are short, slow, often flagged and may not be in Lesotho at all, and their operators may log your traffic.
Is using a proxy in Lesotho legal?
Proxies are a standard tool for price monitoring, SEO and ad verification. What matters is how you use them: respect websites’ terms of service, and follow Lesotho’s Data Protection Act, 2011 whenever you collect personal data.
