Choose your Mauritius proxy type
Two ways to get a Mauritius IP address
Rotating residential
A Mauritius proxy server on real home connections from Mauritius Telecom, Emtel and Liquid, in all nine districts, on Rodrigues and in 22 locations. Best for price monitoring, SERP tracking and data collection.
- District, location, ZIP, ISP and ASN targeting
- New IP per request or sticky sessions
- OS fingerprint targeting (Windows, macOS, Linux, Android)
- Pay as you go from 1 GB
Rotating mobile
Mauritius mobile proxy IPs on all three networks: my.t mobile, Emtel and CHiLi, in Port Louis, Plaines Wilhems, Rivière du Rempart and Rodrigues. Best for social media, apps and strict anti-bot systems.
- District, location, ZIP, carrier and ASN targeting
- OS fingerprint targeting
- Rotate on demand or keep a sticky session
Need the same IP for weeks at a time? Static residential proxies are not offered in Mauritius; use a sticky session to hold the same Mauritian IP on residential or mobile. Datacenter IPs are not available in Mauritius at the moment.
Mauritius at a glance
Why a local IP changes what you see
Mauritius is a small, bilingual online market. News sites such as DΓ©fi Media and Le Mauricien publish mainly in French, while shopping, job and travel sites such as Winners, Careers.mu and Air Mauritius are in English. A request from Europe or a data centre may get an international page, other prices or a block.
| Fact | Figure | Why it matters for proxy work |
|---|---|---|
| Population | 1,233,427 residents at the 2022 census: 1,189,493 on the island of Mauritius and 43,604 on Rodrigues | A small market, so genuine local IPs matter more than raw volume. |
| Districts | Nine on the main island; Plaines Wilhems (340,780 residents) is the most populous, followed by Pamplemousses and Flacq | Our region level is the district: all nine can be selected on residential, and so can Rodrigues. |
| Towns | Port Louis and four other municipal towns: Beau Bassin-Rose Hill, Quatre Bornes, Vacoas-Phoenix and Curepipe, home to 481,069 people (39%) | All five towns can be targeted on residential; Port Louis also on mobile. |
| Currency | Mauritian rupee (MUR, Rs), issued by the Bank of Mauritius | Local shops such as Winners list prices in rupees; collect them from the Mauritian version of a site. |
| Languages at home | Creole for 78.6% of residents, and for about nine in ten alone or with another language; French 2.4%, English 0.6% | Sites mix English and French, so the IP, not the language, decides which local version you get. |
| Mobile networks | my.t mobile (Mauritius Telecom), Emtel and CHiLi (Mahanagar Telephone (Mauritius) Ltd) | All three are in our mobile pool, and all three can be selected in Port Louis. |
| Visitors | 1,436,250 tourist arrivals in 2025; France was the largest market (337,502) | Hotel and airline prices can depend on where you browse from, so compare both views. |

What our Mauritius proxy coverage actually reaches
Read from the live API, not a brochure
Whether you run one proxy Mauritius-wide or pin a session to a district, a town or a network, here is exactly what you can target today, taken from the same API our dashboard uses.
All 9 districts plus Rodrigues: 10 areas on residential, 4 on mobile
Residential IPs can be targeted in every district and on Rodrigues:
Mobile IPs can be targeted in four areas:
Between them, the nine districts and Rodrigues are home to virtually every resident. The four mobile areas held just under half of residents (49%) at the 2022 census, including the capital and the plateau towns. A country-level session draws on the whole Mauritius pool.
22 targetable Mauritian locations
These are the 22 locations the API returns. Port Louis and the four plateau towns are municipal towns; Floréal and the Ebène CyberCity business district are also on the plateau; most others are villages, from Grand Baie and Triolet in the north to Mahébourg in the south-east and Flic en Flac on the west coast. On Rodrigues you can pick Port Mathurin or the whole island. Savanne is selectable as a district only. On mobile, Port Louis and Rodrigues can be chosen as locations.
Mauritius mobile proxy carriers
Our mobile pool covers all three mobile networks in Mauritius: my.t mobile from Mauritius Telecom, Emtel, and CHiLi, the brand of Mahanagar Telephone (Mauritius) Ltd. In Port Louis you can choose any of the three; in Plaines Wilhems, Rivière du Rempart and on Rodrigues the pool is on Emtel.
Mauritian ISPs in the residential pool
Residential IPs come from three networks: Mauritius Telecom (my.t home fibre), Emtel (Airbox and fibre home internet) and Liquid Intelligent Technologies, better known for business connectivity. Mauritius Telecom and Emtel can both be targeted in Port Louis, Curepipe and Ebène CyberCity; on Rodrigues the residential pool is on Mauritius Telecom.
Honest counts, real addresses. Three home networks and 22 locations will not put an IP in every village, but they do cover every district, the towns, the coasts and Rodrigues.

Free Mauritius proxy lists vs paid Mauritian proxies
Why free lists rarely work on Mauritian sites
Search for a free Mauritius proxy and you will find a handful of entries at best: open servers shared by thousands of people, offline within hours, often not in Mauritius at all, and blocked by the sites you want to reach.
| Free Mauritius proxy lists | ProxyEmpire Mauritian proxies | |
|---|---|---|
| IP source | Open or hijacked servers, mostly data centres | Real Mauritian homes and my.t, Emtel and CHiLi SIM cards |
| Uptime | Minutes to hours before an IP disappears | Always-on pool, with rotating or sticky sessions |
| Blocks | Usually blacklisted on major sites | Looks like an ordinary local visitor |
| Targeting | Country at best, and often wrong | District, location, ZIP, ISP, carrier, ASN and OS fingerprint |
| Security | Unknown operator can log or alter your traffic | Authenticated access over HTTP(S) or SOCKS5 |
| Cost | Free | From $1.50/GB, with a $1.97 trial |

Mauritius proxy FAQ
Straight answers
What is a Mauritian proxy (MU proxy)?
A Mauritian proxy, or Mauritius proxy server, gives you a Mauritius IP address, so websites treat you as a visitor from Mauritius. Residential and mobile proxies route your traffic through real home or mobile connections instead of a data centre, which makes them far less likely to be blocked.
How do I get a Mauritius IP address?
Start the $1.97 trial, set the country to Mauritius (MU) in the dashboard and connect your tool to the endpoint it generates. Every request then leaves from a Mauritian residential or mobile IP, narrowed to a district, location or network if you like.
Can I target districts, towns or ISPs in Mauritius?
Yes. Residential IPs can be targeted in all nine districts, on Rodrigues and in 22 locations; mobile IPs in four areas, with Port Louis and Rodrigues as locations. ISP, carrier, ZIP, ASN and OS fingerprint targeting are included at no extra charge.
Do you offer Mauritius mobile proxies?
Yes, on all three networks: my.t mobile, Emtel and CHiLi. Mobile IPs are shared by many real subscribers, which makes them among the hardest IPs to block. All three can be selected in Port Louis; elsewhere the mobile pool is on Emtel.
Do you have datacenter or static IPs in Mauritius?
Not at the moment. Datacenter and static residential proxies are not offered with Mauritian IPs. For a long-lived Mauritius IP address, use a sticky session on residential or mobile.
Can I get an IP address on Rodrigues?
Yes. Rodrigues can be selected as an area on both residential and mobile, and Port Mathurin as a location on residential. On Rodrigues, residential IPs are on Mauritius Telecom and mobile IPs on Emtel.
How much do Mauritius proxies cost?
Rotating residential costs $3.50 for 1 GB on Pay As You Go and as little as $1.50/GB on larger plans; rotating mobile costs $4.50 for 1 GB, down to $2.00/GB. Plans are billed in US dollars, per GB rather than per IP, and Mauritius targeting is included. You can start with a $1.97 trial.
Can I keep the same Mauritius IP address?
Yes. Rotating residential and mobile proxies both support sticky sessions, which hold the same Mauritian IP across requests instead of switching on every request.
Is there a free Mauritius proxy that works?
For a one-off look at a page, sometimes. For regular work, no: free lists for Mauritius are short, slow, often flagged and may not be in Mauritius at all, and their operators may log your traffic.
Is using a proxy in Mauritius legal?
Proxies are a standard tool for price monitoring, SEO and ad verification. What matters is how you use them: respect websites’ terms of service, and follow data protection rules, such as Mauritius’ Data Protection Act 2017, whenever you collect personal data.
