Three ways to get a Moldovan IP
Rotating residential
Home broadband IPs across Moldova. Best for scraping, price monitoring and SERP tracking.
- Region, city, ZIP, ISP and ASN targeting
- New IP per request or sticky sessions
- OS fingerprint targeting (Windows, macOS, Linux, Android)
Rotating mobile
Mobile IPs on Moldcell and Moldtelecom. Best for social media and the strictest anti-bot systems.
- Region, city, ZIP, carrier and ASN targeting
- OS fingerprint targeting
- Rotate on demand or keep a sticky session
Rotating datacenter
Fast, low-cost Moldovan datacenter IPs. Best for high-volume jobs on sites with light bot protection.
- Moldova country-level targeting
- New IP per request or sticky sessions
- Lowest cost per GB for bulk traffic
- Plans from 40 GB for $25
Need the same IP for weeks at a time? Static residential proxies are not offered in Moldova. The nearest static location is Romania, or use sticky sessions to hold the same Moldovan IP on any of the three proxy types above.
Moldova at a glance
Why a local IP changes what you see
Moldova is a small, sharply local market. Search results on Google.md, listings on 999.md, and prices on Darwin.md, Enter.online and Ultra.md all depend on where the request comes from. A Romanian or Ukrainian IP gives you a different page, different delivery options and often a different language.
Prices are another trap. Moldova uses the Moldovan leu, which is a completely different currency from the Romanian leu despite the shared name and the shared “lei” label on price tags. Scrapers that assume one leu is the other end up with numbers that are wrong by a factor of roughly eight. Reading prices from inside the country, in the local currency, is the only reliable way to compare.
Moldovan sites also check what kind of network a visitor is on. On well-protected sites, traffic from a data centre is flagged as a bot straight away. Traffic from a Moldtelecom or StarNet home connection looks like an ordinary Moldovan customer, because that is what it is.
| Fact | Figure | Why it matters for proxy work |
|---|---|---|
| Population | 2.37 million (1 January 2026, preliminary) | A small pool, so precise city and ISP targeting matters far more than raw volume. |
| Currency | Moldovan leu (MDL) | A different currency from the Romanian leu, even though both are written “lei” — never convert one with the other’s rate. |
| Language & script | Romanian (Latin script); Russian widely used; Gagauz in Gagauzia | Many Moldovan sites ship Romanian and Russian versions and pick one by IP and locale, so you need a local IP to see the default. |
| Mobile networks | Orange Moldova, Moldcell, Moldtelecom (Unite) | Our mobile pool covers two of the three: Moldcell and Moldtelecom. Orange appears in our fixed-line list, not in the mobile pool. |
| EU status | Candidate country since June 2022; accession negotiations opened June 2024 | Moldova is not an EU member, so EU-only content, pricing and geo-blocks treat a Moldovan IP as non-EU — which is exactly what you need to test. |

What our Moldova coverage actually reaches
Read from the live API, not a brochure
Most providers list Moldova as a single country checkbox. Here you can pin a session to the district, city and network your target cares about. This is the targeting available on the ProxyEmpire network today, pulled from the same API our dashboard uses.
All 31 regions
39 targetable cities and towns
Coverage goes well beyond the capital. District centres, the Gagauz towns in the south and small places of a few thousand people can each be targeted on their own:
Southern towns such as Comrat, Ceadîr-Lunga, Vulcănești, Congaz and Copceac can each be targeted separately, which matters when you are checking Russian- and Gagauz-language content or testing how a site behaves outside Chișinău.
Mobile carriers
Moldova has three mobile networks: Orange Moldova, Moldcell and Moldtelecom’s Unite. Our mobile pool covers two of them, Moldcell and Moldtelecom. Orange Moldova is in our fixed-line list below but not in the mobile pool, so if a job specifically needs an Orange mobile IP, talk to us before you buy.
Fixed-line ISPs
The national operator Moldtelecom is covered across its FTTx and xDSL networks, together with StarNet, Orange Moldova’s fixed-line service and Moldcell. Beyond the big names there are regional and business providers including Arax-Impex, Metical, ITNS.net, Nordlinks, Click-Com, Radeon Service, Monitoring and Interdnestrcom — more than ten distinct operators in all.
Why the long tail matters. Anti-bot systems look at which network a request comes from. In a country this size, a pool built on one operator is trivial to spot. Having IPs on Moldtelecom, StarNet and a spread of smaller regional networks is what makes your traffic look like ordinary Moldovan households rather than a single block of addresses.
What teams use Moldovan proxies for
Common workloads on our Moldovan network
E-commerce price monitoring
Track prices, stock and delivery fees on Darwin.md, Enter.online and Ultra.md exactly as Moldovan shoppers see them, in lei rather than a converted guess.
Classifieds & marketplace research
Collect listings from 999.md, the country’s dominant classifieds site, at scale and in both of the languages it serves.
Local SEO & SERP tracking
Check Google.md rankings, map packs and ads from Chișinău, Bălți or Comrat instead of a generic Eastern European location.
Ad verification
Confirm that campaigns targeted at Moldova actually render, in the right language, on the placements you paid for, and catch fraudulent placements before they burn budget.
Social media management
Run Moldovan accounts from mobile IPs on Moldcell or Moldtelecom, so logins look like a local phone rather than a server.
Market & media research
Scrape Romanian- and Russian-language Moldovan news, job boards and review sites without CAPTCHAs or geo-blocks.

Free Moldova proxy lists vs paid Moldovan proxies
Why free lists rarely work on Moldovan sites
Free Moldova proxy lists are easy to find, but most entries are open servers that have been scanned and abused by thousands of other users. They go offline within hours and are already blacklisted by the Moldovan sites you want to reach. In a country with a pool this small, a handful of burned addresses is the whole list.
| Free Moldova proxy lists | ProxyEmpire Moldovan proxies | |
|---|---|---|
| IP source | Open or hijacked servers, mostly data centres | Real Moldovan homes and Moldcell and Moldtelecom SIM cards |
| Uptime | Minutes to hours before an IP disappears | Always-on pool, with rotating or sticky sessions |
| Blocks | Usually blacklisted on major Moldovan sites | Looks like an ordinary local visitor |
| Targeting | Country at best | Region, city, ZIP, ISP, ASN and OS fingerprint |
| Security | Unknown operator can log or alter your traffic | Authenticated access over HTTP(S) or SOCKS5 |
| Cost | Free | From $1.50/GB, with a $1.97 trial |

Moldova proxy FAQ
Straight answers
What is a Moldovan proxy (MD proxy)?
A Moldovan proxy, or MD proxy, gives you a Moldovan IP address so websites treat you as a local visitor. A Moldova residential proxy goes one step further: it routes your traffic through a real Moldovan household’s internet connection, so websites see a genuine local visitor on a network like Moldtelecom or StarNet instead of a data centre. That makes it far less likely to be blocked or shown non-local content.
Can I target specific Moldovan cities or ISPs?
Yes. You can target any of the 31 regions, 39 cities and towns and more than ten local ISPs on our Moldovan network, including Moldtelecom, StarNet and Orange Moldova. Residential and mobile proxies can also be targeted by ZIP code, ASN and OS fingerprint. Datacenter proxies are targeted at country level.
Do you offer Moldovan mobile proxies?
Yes, on two of Moldova’s three mobile networks: Moldcell and Moldtelecom (Unite). Orange Moldova is not currently in our mobile pool, although it is in our fixed-line residential pool. Mobile IPs are shared by many real subscribers, which makes them among the hardest IPs for websites to block.
How much do Moldova proxies cost?
Rotating residential starts at $1.50/GB on larger plans, rotating mobile at $2.00/GB and rotating datacenter at $0.35/GB. Moldovan targeting is included at no extra charge, and you can start with a $1.97 trial.
Do you have Moldovan datacenter proxies?
Yes. Rotating datacenter proxies with Moldovan IPs start at $25 for 40 GB and go down to $0.35/GB on larger plans. They are targeted at country level and suit high-volume work on sites with light bot protection. For well-protected sites, use residential or mobile IPs instead.
Can I keep the same Moldovan IP?
Yes. Rotating residential, mobile and datacenter proxies all support sticky sessions, which keep the same Moldovan IP across requests instead of switching to a new IP on every request. Static residential IPs are not offered in Moldova; if you need a permanently fixed IP in the region, our nearest static location is Romania.
Which protocols and tools are supported?
HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5. The proxies work with any scraper, headless browser, anti-detect browser or HTTP library, and there is no limit on concurrent sessions.
Why not use a free Moldova proxy?
Free proxies are slow, blocked on most major sites, and often run by operators who log or resell your traffic. If you are not paying for the product, your data usually is the product. For anything work-related, a paid residential proxy is safer and far more reliable.
Is using a proxy legal in Moldova?
Proxies themselves are legal in Moldova. What matters is how you use them: respect websites’ terms of service and data protection law when collecting personal data.
Proxies in Moldova’s neighbouring countries
Cover the whole region from one account
Moldova borders just two countries, but regional projects rarely stop there. The same account, bandwidth and targeting work everywhere on our network, so you can compare prices, rankings and ads across borders without switching providers.
Elsewhere in the region: Bulgaria, Serbia, Poland and Hungary — see all European proxy locations or browse all locations. Romania is the closest place to get a permanently fixed static residential IP, and it is a useful control when you are checking whether a price or a page really is Moldova-specific.
