Why a local IP changes what you see
Rankings on Google.at, prices on Geizhals.at and shöpping.at, listings on willhaben and ImmoScout24.at, and the ads served to Austrian readers of derStandard all depend on where a request comes from. A German IP usually gets the .de version of a shared German-language site, with German prices, VAT and delivery terms. Even amazon.at simply forwards to amazon.de, so seeing what Austrian shoppers see there means browsing from Austria.
Austrian sites also check the network. On well-protected sites, data centre traffic is flagged as a bot straight away, while an A1 fibre line in Graz or a Magenta SIM in Vienna looks like an ordinary Austrian customer, because it is one.

By state that is six towns in Upper Austria, five in Tyrol, four in Lower Austria, three each in Styria, Salzburg and Vorarlberg, two in Carinthia and one each in Vienna and Burgenland. Holiday towns such as Zell am See and St. Johann in Tirol can be targeted separately, which matters for hotel and ski-pass price checks.
Mobile carriers
RTR, the Austrian regulator, lists three operators with their own nationwide mobile networks: A1 Telekom Austria, Magenta Telekom (legally T-Mobile Austria) and Hutchison Drei Austria. All three are in our mobile pool, so no network is missing. spusu, the mobile brand of the Vienna-based Mass Response Service, can also be picked on its own; according to RTR it uses the Drei network. Other brands such as HoT run on Magenta and are not listed as separate carriers.
Fixed-line ISPs
Seventeen Austrian networks can be targeted by name. The national operators A1 (Telekom Austria), Magenta Telekom and Drei are covered, together with regional cable networks: LIWEST in Upper Austria, Salzburg AG’s CableLink and kabelplus. Energy companies and municipal utilities that operate their own networks are in the list too, among them Energie AG Oberösterreich, Wien Energie, Innsbrucker Kommunalbetriebe, Stadtwerke Kapfenberg, Stadtwerke Kufstein and Gemeindewerke Telfs, plus smaller ISPs such as fonira and MyNet, ACOnet, the Austrian academic network, and Starlink satellite connections.
Why the network mix matters. Anti-bot systems look at which network a request comes from, and a pool drawn only from the national carriers is easier to spot. Mixing an A1 line in Vienna with LIWEST cable in Linz and municipal fibre in Innsbruck or Kufstein makes traffic look like ordinary Austrian households.

An Austrian proxy, or AT proxy (in German, a Proxy Österreich), is an Austria proxy server that gives you an Austria IP address, so websites treat you as a local visitor. An Austria residential proxy goes further: it routes traffic through a real household’s connection on a network like A1 or LIWEST, not a data centre.
Can I target specific Austrian cities, states or ISPs?
Yes. You can target all nine federal states, 28 towns and cities from Vienna to Bregenz, and 17 home ISPs, including A1, Magenta Telekom, LIWEST and Salzburg AG’s CableLink. Residential and mobile also support ZIP, ASN and OS fingerprint targeting. Static residential is country-level.
Do you offer an Austria mobile proxy?
Yes, on the A1, Magenta Telekom and Drei 4G/5G networks, the three networks RTR lists, plus spusu as a separate option. An Austria mobile proxy uses IPs shared by many real subscribers, which makes it among the hardest traffic for websites to block.

Yes. Rotating residential and mobile both support sticky sessions, which hold the same Austrian IP across requests. For a permanently fixed IP, use static residential.

HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5. The proxies work with any scraper, rank tracker, headless browser, anti-detect browser or HTTP library, and there is no limit on concurrent sessions.
Is a free Austria proxy good enough?
