Choose your Cameroon proxy type
Two ways to get a Cameroon IP address
Rotating residential
Home internet IPs on Camtel and Creolink lines in Yaoundé and Douala, the country’s two largest urban areas. Best for classifieds scraping, price monitoring and SERP tracking.
- Region, city, ZIP, ISP and ASN targeting
- New IP per request or sticky sessions
- OS fingerprint targeting (Windows, macOS, Linux, Android)
- Pay as you go from 1 GB
Rotating mobile
Cameroon mobile proxy IPs on MTN, Orange and Camtel (Blue), available in all 10 regions. Best for social media, app testing and strict anti-bot systems.
- Region, city, ZIP, carrier and ASN targeting
- OS fingerprint targeting
- Rotate on demand or keep a sticky session
Need the same IP for weeks at a time? Static residential proxies are not offered in Cameroon; use a sticky session to hold the same Cameroonian IP on residential or mobile. Datacenter IPs are not available in Cameroon at the moment.
Cameroon at a glance
Why a local IP changes what you see
Search results, classified ads, telecom offers and the ads on Cameroonian news sites all depend on where a request comes from. A visitor in Douala or Yaoundé sees local pages in French or English with prices in CFA francs; a foreign server often gets a generic version, or is blocked outright.
That is why a real local connection matters. Our mobile pool reaches every one of the country’s 10 regions on MTN, Orange and Camtel, while residential IPs sit on home lines in Yaoundé, the capital, and Douala, the port city of the Littoral region. A request from a real phone or home line looks like an ordinary Cameroonian user; data-centre traffic is far more likely to be flagged as a bot.
| Fact | Figure | Why it matters for proxy work |
|---|---|---|
| Population | About 29.1 million (2025 estimate) | A large audience that sites and advertisers segment by city and by language. |
| Administrative units | 10 regions: Adamaoua, Centre, East, Far North, Littoral, North, North-West, West, South and South-West | Our mobile IPs can be targeted in all 10 regions; residential IPs in Centre and Littoral. |
| Capital | Yaoundé | Yaoundé and Douala are both targetable by city, on residential and mobile. |
| Currency | Central African CFA franc (XAF, FCFA), issued by the BEAC | Cameroonian shops and classifieds quote prices in FCFA, so collect them from the local version of a site. |
| Languages | English and French are both official languages, with the same status | Sites, ads and searches come in both languages, and many people search in French for a “proxy Cameroun”, so check both versions. |
| Mobile networks | MTN, Orange, Camtel (Blue) and Nexttel | MTN, Orange and Camtel are in our mobile pool, so a mobile session can look like an ordinary Cameroonian phone user; Nexttel is not. |
| Country domain | .cm | Local versions of sites, such as Google.cm, serve different results and ads to Cameroonian IPs. |

What our Cameroon proxy coverage actually reaches
Read from the live API, not a brochure
Here is exactly what our Cameroon proxy IPs can target today, taken from the same API our dashboard uses. Mobile coverage is wide; residential coverage is concentrated in the two largest cities.
All 10 regions on mobile, 2 on residential
Every one of Cameroon’s 10 regions can be selected for mobile IPs. Residential IPs can be targeted in two of them: Centre, around Yaoundé, and Littoral, around Douala. A country-level session draws on the whole Cameroonian pool.
4 targetable cities
Yaoundé and Douala can be targeted on both residential and mobile; Buea and Ngaoundéré on mobile only. These are the only four cities the API returns. Garoua, Bafoussam, Bamenda, Maroua and other towns cannot be targeted by name, although mobile IPs in their regions can, so test with the $1.97 trial if you need them.
Cameroon mobile proxy carriers
Three of Cameroon’s four mobile operators are in our pool: MTN Cameroon, Orange Cameroun and Camtel, whose mobile service is sold under the Blue brand. Nexttel, the fourth operator, is not in the API and cannot be targeted. In Douala all three carriers can be selected; in Yaoundé, MTN and Camtel; in Buea and Ngaoundéré, MTN.
Cameroonian fixed-line ISPs
Residential IPs come from two local fixed-line providers: Camtel, the historic fixed-line and fibre operator, and Creolink Communications, which sells home internet and TV packages. Orange and MTN home internet lines are not in the residential pool; their IPs are available on mobile instead.
Honest counts, real addresses. Two residential regions and four cities will not suit a job that needs every Cameroonian town by name. They do cover Yaoundé and Douala, the two largest cities, mobile IPs in all 10 regions, and three of the country’s four mobile networks.
What teams use Cameroonian proxies for
Common workloads on our Cameroonian network
Classifieds & job listings
Collect listings from CoinAfrique Cameroun and vacancies from MinaJobs to follow used-car prices, rents and hiring in Douala and Yaoundé, in FCFA and exactly as local users see them.
Local SEO & SERP tracking
Check Google.cm rankings, local results and ads in French and in English as a searcher in Yaoundé or Douala sees them, instead of one generic “Cameroon” location.
E-commerce price monitoring
Track product prices, stock and delivery options on Cameroonian online shops such as Glotelho, in FCFA and with the offers shown to local shoppers.
Telecom offers
Follow data bundles, fibre plans and promotions on the MTN, Orange and Camtel websites as a customer in Cameroon sees them, region by region on mobile.
Ad verification on news sites
Confirm that campaigns aimed at Cameroon appear in the right placements, for example on business and news portals such as Investir au Cameroun and Journal du Cameroun, and that French and English landing pages display correctly.
Apps, social & browser profiles
Test mobile apps and manage social accounts from MTN, Orange or Camtel IPs, or give each anti-detect browser profile its own Cameroon IP address so manual checks look local.

Free Cameroon proxies vs paid Cameroonian proxies
Why free lists rarely work on Cameroonian sites
Search for free proxies in Cameroon and you will find a handful of entries at best: open servers used by thousands of people, offline within hours, often not in the country at all and blocked by the sites you want to reach. A free proxy Cameroon list costs nothing, but a $1.97 trial of real Cameroon proxies costs less than the time lost on dead IPs.
| Free Cameroon proxy lists | ProxyEmpire Cameroonian proxies | |
|---|---|---|
| IP source | Open or hijacked servers, mostly data centres | Real Cameroonian homes and MTN, Orange and Camtel SIM cards |
| Uptime | Minutes to hours before an IP disappears | Always-on pool, with rotating or sticky sessions |
| Blocks | Usually blacklisted on major sites | Looks like an ordinary local visitor |
| Targeting | Country at best | Region, city, ZIP, ISP, ASN and OS fingerprint |
| Security | Unknown operator can log or alter your traffic | Authenticated access over HTTP(S) or SOCKS5 |
| Cost | Free | From $1.50/GB, with a $1.97 trial |

Cameroon proxy FAQ
Straight answers
What is a Cameroonian proxy (CM proxy)?
A Cameroonian proxy is a proxy server that gives you a Cameroon IP address, so websites treat you as a visitor from Cameroon. A Cameroon residential proxy goes one step further: it routes your traffic through a real household connection on Camtel or Creolink instead of a data centre, which makes it far less likely to be blocked.
Quel est le proxy du Cameroun ? (Is there a national Cameroon proxy?)
No. There is no single national “proxy du Cameroun”. If you need the proxy or APN settings for mobile data on your phone, your operator (MTN, Orange, Camtel or Nexttel) provides them; they are usually set automatically, and its customer service can give you the correct values. ProxyEmpire is different: a paid service that gives businesses Cameroonian IP addresses. En bref : pas de proxy national ; pour les paramètres APN, adressez-vous à votre opérateur.
Can I target specific cities or regions in Cameroon?
Yes, within today’s coverage: all 10 regions and the cities of Yaoundé, Douala, Buea and Ngaoundéré for mobile IPs, and Centre, Littoral, Yaoundé and Douala for residential IPs. ISP, carrier, ZIP, ASN and OS fingerprint targeting cost nothing extra. Towns such as Garoua are not available by name.
Do you offer Cameroon mobile proxies?
Yes, on MTN, Orange and Camtel (Blue), three of the country’s four mobile networks; Nexttel is not available. Mobile IPs are shared by many real subscribers, which makes them among the hardest IPs for websites to block.
Do you have Cameroonian datacenter or static IPs?
Not at the moment. Datacenter and static residential proxies are not offered with Cameroonian IPs. For a long-lived Cameroon IP, use a sticky session on residential or mobile.
How much do Cameroon proxies cost?
Rotating residential costs $3.50 for 1 GB on Pay As You Go and as little as $1.50/GB on larger plans; rotating mobile costs $4.50 for 1 GB, down to $2.00/GB. Prices are in US dollars, per GB rather than per IP, and Cameroonian targeting is included. You can start with a $1.97 trial.
Can I keep the same Cameroon IP?
Yes. Rotating residential and mobile proxies both support sticky sessions, which hold the same Cameroonian IP across requests instead of switching on every request.
Which protocols do Cameroon proxies support?
Every Cameroonian proxy works over HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5, so it plugs into scrapers, browsers and anti-detect tools without extra software.
Do free Cameroon proxies work?
For a one-off look at a page, sometimes. For regular work, no: free proxy lists for Cameroon are short, the entries are slow, often flagged and may not be in the country at all, and their operators may log or resell your traffic.
Is using a proxy in Cameroon legal?
Proxies are a standard tool for price monitoring, SEO and ad verification. What matters is how you use them: respect websites’ terms of service, and follow Cameroon’s personal data law (Law No. 2024/017 of 23 December 2024) whenever you collect personal data.
