Lao IPs from real homes and SIM cards
Lao proxies on real home connections and the Unitel, Lao Telecom and ETL mobile networks. Our Laos proxies reach Vientiane, Pakse, Attapeu and Xam Neua, plus Luang Prabang province: 6 of the country’s 18 provinces on 4 local networks. Start with a $1.97 trial, then pay as you go from 1 GB.
Priced per GB, not per IP: residential from $1.50/GB, mobile from $2.00/GB. Unused bandwidth rolls over.

Two ways to get a Laos IP address
Rotating residential
Our Laos residential proxy pool: home and business connections on Lao Telecom, Unitel, ETL and Sky Telecom, from Vientiane to Pakse and the far south. Best for SERP tracking, price monitoring and ad checks.
- Province, city, ZIP, ISP and ASN targeting
- New IP per request or sticky sessions
- OS fingerprint targeting (Windows, macOS, Linux, Android)
- Pay as you go from 1 GB
Rotating mobile
Laos mobile proxy IPs on the Unitel, Lao Telecom and ETL networks. Best for social media, app testing and the strictest anti-bot systems.
- Province, city, ZIP, carrier and ASN targeting
- OS fingerprint targeting
- Rotate on demand or keep a sticky session
Need the same IP for weeks at a time? Static residential proxies are not offered in Laos. The nearest static locations are Hong Kong and Singapore, or use sticky sessions to hold the same Laos IP address on either proxy type above.
Laos at a glance
Why a local IP changes what you see
Search results on Google.la, the ads shown to Lao users and the prices on local shop and travel pages all depend on where a request comes from. A visitor in Vientiane and one in Pakse can see different results and offers on the same page, and many sites switch between Lao and English depending on who is asking.
Sites also check the network. Data-centre traffic is flagged as a bot straight away, while a Lao Telecom home connection, or a phone on Unitel or ETL, looks like an ordinary Lao visitor.
| Fact | Figure | Why it matters for proxy work |
|---|---|---|
| Population | 6.49 million (2015 Population and Housing Census); the fifth census was carried out in November and December 2025 | Local sites see mostly home and mobile visitors, so a data-centre IP stands out. |
| Capital | Vientiane; Vientiane Capital had about 820,000 people in 2015 | The biggest single target in our pool, by province and by city. |
| Provinces | 17 provinces plus Vientiane Capital | We cover 6 of the 18, listed below. |
| Currency | Lao kip (LAK, β), issued by the Bank of the Lao PDR | Local shops and travel sites may quote kip, so check what a visitor in Laos actually sees. |
| Language | Lao, written in Lao script (ΰΊΰΊ²ΰΊͺΰΊ²ΰΊ₯ΰΊ²ΰΊ§) | Google.la and many local sites serve Lao first, and English results often differ. |
| Country domain | .la (Google’s local search runs on Google.la) | Rank tracking needs a Lao IP to see the local Google.la results. |
| Mobile networks | Unitel, Lao Telecom (LTC), ETL, TPLUS and Best Telecom | We reach Unitel, Lao Telecom and ETL. TPLUS and Best Telecom are not in our mobile pool. |

What our Laos coverage actually reaches
Read from the live API, not a brochure
Most providers treat Laos as one country checkbox. Here you can run a Laos proxy country-wide or pin a session to a province, city or network, exactly as listed by the API our dashboard uses. Our Lao pool is small, so this is precisely what it includes today.
6 of Laos’s 18 provinces
The API returns Vientiane Capital and 5 of the 17 provinces: Luang Prabang in the north; Houaphanh in the north-east; and Champasak, Attapeu and Sekong in the south. The other 12, including Savannakhet, Vientiane Province and Khammouane, are not separate targets yet.
4 cities you can target
Four cities and towns can be targeted directly: the capital, Vientiane; Pakse, the main city of Champasak and the south; Attapeu, the provincial town of Attapeu; and Xam Neua, the provincial capital of Houaphanh. Luang Prabang can be targeted as a province but not yet as a separate city, and Savannakhet is not in the pool. For anywhere else, target the province or the network that serves it.
Laos mobile proxy carriers
The mobile networks in Laos are Unitel, Lao Telecom (LTC), ETL, TPLUS and Best Telecom. Three of them are in our mobile pool: Unitel, Lao Telecom and ETL. TPLUS and Best Telecom are not mobile targets yet. Unitel appears in our API under its company name, Star Telecom.
Fixed-line ISPs
Home and business connections in our residential pool come from four local networks: Lao Telecom, Unitel and ETL, which also run mobile networks, and Sky Telecom, a provider of internet and data services. Each can be chosen by ISP or ASN, on its own or together with a province or city.
Why network targeting matters in Laos. City targeting covers four places, but ISP and ASN targeting reach wherever these networks have users. Choosing the network your real customers use, such as a Lao Telecom home line in Vientiane or a Unitel mobile connection, is often what makes a session look ordinary to a local site.
What teams use Lao proxies for
Common workloads on our Lao network
Google.la SERP tracking
Check Google.la rankings, map packs and ads from Vientiane or Pakse, in Lao or English, instead of one generic “Laos” location or a result served from a neighbouring country.
Social media & app testing
Run Lao accounts, review Lao-language content and test apps from mobile IPs on Unitel, Lao Telecom or ETL, so sessions look like a local phone rather than a server.
Travel & airfare pricing
See the fares, hotel rates and tour prices shown to people browsing from Laos, from Lao Airlines routes to guesthouses in Luang Prabang, and compare them with what visitors abroad are offered.
Mobile plan & telecom monitoring
Follow data packages, top-up offers and promotions on the Unitel, Lao Telecom and ETL websites exactly as local customers see them, for market research or partner checks.
Ad verification
Confirm that local campaigns, banners and app-install ads show up correctly, in the right language, for visitors in Vientiane, Pakse or Luang Prabang.
Localisation & checkout checks
Check how your own site, Lao-language pages, kip prices and payment options appear to visitors in Laos, before a launch and after every release.

Datacenter proxies are not offered in Laos. If a job only needs a nearby IP rather than a Lao one, rotating datacenter IPs are available in Thailand, Vietnam, China, Malaysia and Singapore; for anything that has to look local, residential or mobile is the right choice anyway.
Free Laos proxy lists vs paid Lao proxies
Why free lists rarely work on Lao sites
Free Laos proxy lists are easy to find, but most entries are open servers already abused by thousands of users. They go offline within hours and are blacklisted by the sites and apps you want to reach. As the old saying goes, if something is free, you are the product: an unknown operator can watch everything you send.
| Free Laos proxy lists | ProxyEmpire Lao proxies | |
|---|---|---|
| IP source | Open or hijacked servers, mostly data centres | Real Lao homes and Unitel, Lao Telecom and ETL SIM cards |
| Uptime | Minutes to hours before an IP disappears | Always-on pool, with rotating or sticky sessions |
| Blocks | Usually blacklisted on major sites | Looks like an ordinary local visitor |
| Targeting | Country at best | Province, city, ZIP, ISP, ASN and OS fingerprint |
| Security | Unknown operator can log or alter your traffic | Authenticated access over HTTP(S) or SOCKS5 |
| Cost | Free | From $1.50/GB, with a $1.97 trial |

Laos proxy FAQ
Straight answers
What is a Laos proxy server, or Lao proxy (LA proxy)?
A Lao proxy server is simply a proxy located in Laos: your requests leave from a Laos IP address, so websites treat you as a visitor from Laos. A Laos residential proxy goes one step further and routes your traffic through a real household’s connection, on a network like Lao Telecom or Unitel, instead of a data centre. That makes it far less likely to be blocked. Vietnamese-speaking buyers often search for the same thing as “proxy LΓ o”.
Can I target specific Lao provinces, cities or ISPs?
Yes. You can target 6 of the 18 provinces, including Vientiane Capital, Luang Prabang and Champasak; 4 cities (Vientiane, Pakse, Attapeu and Xam Neua); and 4 local networks: Lao Telecom, Unitel, ETL and Sky Telecom. Residential and mobile proxies can also be targeted by ZIP code, ASN and OS fingerprint.
Do you offer Laos mobile proxies?
Yes. Rotating mobile proxies are available on Unitel, Lao Telecom and ETL. Mobile IPs are shared by many real subscribers, which makes them among the hardest IPs for websites to block. TPLUS and Best Telecom are not in our mobile pool yet.
Do you offer Lao datacenter proxies?
Not at the moment: datacenter and static residential IPs are not offered in Laos. Rotating datacenter IPs are available in Thailand, Vietnam, China, Malaysia and Singapore, and the nearest static residential locations are Hong Kong and Singapore. To hold one Laos IP for longer, use a sticky session on residential or mobile.
How much do Laos proxies cost?
Rotating residential starts at $1.50/GB on larger plans and rotating mobile at $2.00/GB. Pay As You Go lets you buy a single GB of residential traffic for $3.50 with no subscription, Lao targeting is included at no extra charge, and you can start with a $1.97 trial. All plans are billed in US dollars.
Can I keep the same Laos IP address?
Yes. Rotating residential and mobile proxies both support sticky sessions, which keep the same Lao IP across requests instead of switching on every request.
Which protocols and tools are supported?
HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5. Each endpoint works as a Laos proxy server for any scraper, headless browser, anti-detect browser or HTTP library, and there is no limit on concurrent sessions.
Will I see Lao-language pages through a Laos proxy?
Usually, yes. A Lao IP shows you what local visitors see, and sites that pick the language from the visitor’s location will often serve Lao first. You can still ask for English by setting the language header in your browser or scraper.
Why not use a free Laos proxy?
Free proxies are slow, blocked on most major sites, and often run by operators who log or resell your traffic. For anything work-related, a paid residential proxy is safer and far more reliable.
Is using a proxy legal in Laos?
Proxies are a standard tool for price monitoring, SEO and ad verification. What matters is how you use them: respect websites’ terms of service and follow local law, including the rules on personal data whenever you collect it.
