Why a local IP changes what you see
Chinese websites and apps adjust what they show to where a request comes from. Prices, delivery times and coupons on Taobao, JD.com and Pinduoduo, and the results Baidu returns, can differ between a shopper in Guangzhou and one in Harbin. International brands often run a separate Chinese site or app, and some global services behave differently for a visitor on a Chinese IP, so a local connection is the reliable way to see what Chinese users see.
China is also a mobile-first market. The National Bureau of Statistics counts 1.125 billion internet users, and 1.121 billion of them go online by mobile. To a Chinese website, a phone on China Mobile or China Unicom is simply the most ordinary visitor there is.
Chinese sites also check the network. On well-protected platforms, data-centre traffic is flagged as a bot straight away, while a China Telecom or China Unicom home connection looks like an ordinary Chinese customer, because that is what it is.

Mobile carriers
These are China’s three large mobile operators, and all three are in our mobile pool. Our API also lists China Mobile’s Shandong and Tianjin companies, which we count under China Mobile. China Broadnet, the much smaller fourth operator, is not a separate option.
Fixed-line ISPs
Chinese home broadband runs mainly on three national networks, and all three are covered: China Telecom, China Unicom and China Mobile broadband, including China Unicom’s Guangzhou and Shenzhen networks and China Telecom’s Guangdong network. Two regional cable operators are in the pool as well: Huashu (Wasu) in Hangzhou and Topway in Shenzhen.
Why city targeting matters more than ISP count. Most Chinese households are on one of three national operators, so the ISP alone says little about a visitor. What changes the page is the city and region, so spreading sessions across many cities, or pinning one to the right city, is what makes traffic look local.

What is a Chinese proxy, or China IP proxy?
A Chinese proxy gives you a China IP address, so websites treat you as a visitor from China. A China residential proxy goes one step further: it routes your traffic through a real Chinese household’s connection, on a network like China Telecom or China Unicom, instead of a data centre. That makes it far less likely to be blocked.
Is this a China web proxy I can use online?
Not a type-in-a-URL web proxy. You get a Chinese proxy server endpoint (host, port, username and password) that you add to your browser’s proxy settings, an anti-detect browser or your scraper. That gives you a China proxy online in minutes: every page you open loads through a China IP, with far more control than a free web proxy.
Can I target specific Chinese regions, cities or ISPs?
Yes. You can target 30 provinces, municipalities and regions, 191 cities and districts, and ISPs such as China Telecom, China Unicom and China Mobile. Residential and mobile proxies can also be targeted by ZIP code, ASN and OS fingerprint. Datacenter proxies are targeted at country level.
Do you offer Chinese mobile proxies?
Yes. Rotating mobile proxies are available on China Mobile, China Unicom and China Telecom, the three large Chinese operators. Mobile IPs are shared by many real subscribers, which makes them among the hardest IPs for websites to block.
Do you have Chinese datacenter proxies?
Yes. Rotating datacenter proxies with Chinese IPs start at $25 for 40 GB and go down to $0.35/GB. They are targeted at country level and suit high-volume work on lightly protected sites; for Taobao, JD.com and other well-protected sites, use residential or mobile IPs.

Can I keep the same Chinese IP?
Yes. Rotating residential, mobile and datacenter proxies all support sticky sessions, which keep the same Chinese IP across requests instead of switching on every request. Static residential IPs are not offered in China; the nearest static locations are Hong Kong, Japan and South Korea.
Which protocols and tools are supported?
HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5. The proxies work with any scraper, headless browser, anti-detect browser or HTTP library, and there is no limit on concurrent sessions.
Why not use a free China proxy?
Free proxies are slow, blocked on most major sites, and often run by operators who log or resell your traffic. For anything work-related, a paid residential proxy is safer and far more reliable.
Can I use Chinese proxies for business research?
Yes. Proxies are a standard tool for price monitoring, SEO and ad verification on Chinese websites.
