EU Proxy or European Proxy?
Not every European country is in the EUPeople often say “EU proxy” when they mean any European IP. The difference matters when content, prices or rules depend on EU membership.
- EU proxies: IPs in the 27 member states of the European Union. We cover all 27, from Austria to Sweden, with residential and mobile proxies in each.
- European proxies outside the EU: the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway and Iceland are in Europe but not in the EU, as are the Western Balkan countries outside the EU, Moldova, Ukraine, Belarus and Russia. Streaming catalogues, prices, VAT display and cookie banners can all differ between an EU and a non-EU country next door.
- The euro is not the EU either: Poland, Sweden, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Denmark and Romania use their own currencies, so an “EU” price check can come back in zloty or kronor.
Pick the country, not the continent: Europe is 41 different markets with their own languages, prices and search results.
Which Proxy Type Is Best for Europe?
Match the IP to the job| Proxy type | European coverage | Targeting | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rotating residential | 41 locations | Country, region, city, ZIP, ISP, ASN at no extra cost | Scraping, price checks, SEO, ad verification |
| Rotating mobile | 40 locations | Country, region, city, carrier | Apps, mobile-first sites, social platforms |
| Datacenter | 24 locations | Country | Fast, low-cost tasks where IP type does not matter |
| Static residential | 13 countries | Country | Accounts and logins that need the same IP for weeks |
Static residential proxies are sold in Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Spain, Switzerland, Ukraine and the United Kingdom. For other European countries, use a sticky session on rotating residential proxies, which keeps the same IP until you rotate it or the device behind it goes offline. Residential pricing starts at $3.50 per GB pay-as-you-go and falls to $1.50 per GB on larger plans, and unused bandwidth rolls over.
